    Sir, you spent a lot of time saying how SLOW the RVX 32 is; but you failed to clarify that - based on your own testing results, even with it's "buttery smooth draw", it was actually FASTER than the Alpha X 33 and only slower than the Lift 33 by 3 FPS. Full transparency for my Prime Peeps - and the 80 # limbs smoke them both...but hey, I really enjoy your reviews and learn a lot. Keep up the great work....not sure about the vibe thing, more data the better I suppose.

      yeah, he seems to hate on alot of other brands quiet a bit, wish there wasn't so much of a bias, like the mathews was like 13fps off and he gives it a 4 rating. Also another thing to note, other people have tested the speed and got different results (faster)

    Prime RVX's speed was off by 19 and you gave it a score of 1... Mathews lift was off by 17 I think, you gave it a 4 ... Come on man!!!

      He's comparing the speed taking into consideration all the other specs of the bow as well not just against the claimed IBO. He also took into account using 80% mods which would get you closer to the claimed IBO.

    The grip was the main selling point for me with Prime. It is insulated and very repeatable. I have never had a better shooting bow than my Prime Inline 3. Lastly, you are shooting at ATA parameters not IBO. Stop saying IBO. Stop dinging bows for being below IBO if you are not going to test their actual IBO speed. That said, the speed you got is still awfully slow.

      Can you explain how he's not testing to ibo?

    • @sheyanderson4371
      @sheyanderson4371 9 месяцев назад

      IBO and ATA both use the same parameters of 30” draw with a 5gpp, IBO just tests up to 80#. It is fair and comparable to test and rate speed using ATA. Yes some bows might have a difference at 80# but it won’t be 10fps+. Even if MFJJ’s chrono is consistently slow, it’s consistent, and Mathew’s and Prime definitely did some fudging this year

    • @JerseyMiller
      @JerseyMiller 9 месяцев назад

      Ibo is 70#/30"/350 grains and has been the standard for over a decade.

    • @sheyanderson4371
      @sheyanderson4371 9 месяцев назад

      Correction, IBO doesn't have a designated draw length for testing so the numbers can definitely vary if a bow can go to 31"+ draw. There would definitely be a difference there.

    • @JerseyMiller
      @JerseyMiller 9 месяцев назад

      @@sheyanderson4371 well if Ibo didn't nail down 70/30/350 it's they're own fault and I guess it's called ata now. General standard has always been 70/30/350, everyone I know always referred to that as Ibo.

    Speed is not off, at least not by that much. Since this bow goes to 80lbs, the speed is measured at 80lbs. This is ibo definition, despite the usual opinion that ibo speed is measured at 70lbs. ATA is at 70, while ibo is flexible, even the draw length is not fixed.

      @@tylercarder581 what am I saying that’s not true? I think it’s a great bow. But it shot 15 fps slower than it’s rating. That’s not good for a bow that’s supposed to be fast. It’s only 2 feet faster then the Mathews V3X series that’s 2 years ago.

      @@tylercarder581 why would he be biased you ask? Easy, are you aware that he is friends with Mathews executives and is one of the bigger shops in the country and he just got back from a hunting trip where he flew to the Mathews headquarters then out on a hunting trip with Mathews reps. He mentions this in his podcast. Mathews can give him many perks for positive reviews. Early access to stock, shorter wait times for customers so customers will likely buy from him, better margins per bow. Lots of incentives.

      @@toddlymburner5783in that same podcast he said he would be honest, and call manufacturers out. Point both bad and good things out. But this does smell of a bit of bias, which is sad, because he was the one I thought was really objective. Tale as old as time, money talks and he has a business to keep up, people to pay and he alluded to people losing dealerships over honesty. But discrepancies this blatant might lose him viewers (which is a real small income I guess)

    I don’t agree with scoring reflex dimensions. That is not a measurement that matters in its own realm. What matters is the distance from the tangent point of the string to the cam, to the axis of the grip. Grip provides a torque about the axis of the grip. String pressure acts to resist that torque. Naturally deflex designs try to maximize that distance but limb length and brace also help. Also the only time reflex does actually matter is when shooting without stabilizers. It changes the position of the center of gravity. With stabilizers you control the mass, CG, and moment of inertia. Lots of tournaments won with an ultra elite and xt3500s. Reflex geometry is only a part of what really matters. That’s how I’ve always modeled it.

      @Doober560 I will definitely agree with that. I love all bows. I just always keep a Prime in the stables. Mathews has my attention this year. Hasn't last 3. This Prime may make the cut to replace my Inline purely because of the adj let-off and refinement. I've considered a Bowtech this year with all their added goodies, but my hunting setups are tune an forget. Once they're there, they don't move. Hell, I may just put all my money into new accessories this year. UV Slidder be fun to play with.
