An informative and detailed video. Well narrative by Miss Brewbird. This video will certainly help the candidates who are preparing for their exams. My sincere congratulations to your passing of the 2nd Module. Also, good luck to your upcoming exam. in 2022. Look forward to watching another topic in distilling. Interesting as always.
So glad to see you post this video. After the previous one about 7 reasons not to be a distiller I thought perhaps you were calling it quits. lol On a serious note I hope things are going well for you. You seemed a little down in the last video.
That looks really hard. Best of luck. You say you want a job in England but there are hardly any distilleries there. Scotland is where the Scotch whisky industry is with one hundred working distilleries.
Hi, Would it be possible for you to have a video explaining each part of the copper still (with reference to the distillation process) and how to set it up?
Thanks for doing these videos, they're really helpful. I am sitting Module 1 next month, I have been studying incessantly but I'll admit I am quite nervous about drawing a blank on the day. Anything I should focus on, bearing in mind its all online now?
Good luck. Memorize the math equations, they will definitely be in the short answer section. Also, allot your time accordingly based on the number of points in each section. Don't waste too much time on the short answer section, as the essays are where the bulk of the marks are. I like to spend 10min or so scribbling down an outline + notes for the essay before I begin writing it. I'd recommend taking the time to jot down an outline, since it will be easier for the grader to review.
Sorry Brewbird but I think You're better than your exams! You've already worked for/with many distilleries and you've done the work already!! You have even taught people (me) and the exam doesn't reflect that!!
Great video yet again!! Do you think a home distiller would have a chance at passing these exams based on limited experience? The math should not be an issue for me based on my day job but I do lack the practical experience of working in a distillery.
I think you could take it. They provide you with the study materials when you sign up, so you just need to study those materials well. It isn't so different from studying for a high school or university exam.
I see on the IBD website that they offer "recommended support" at £1387 per module, tutor guided learning program. Did you get this and would you say it's highly recommended? It certainly adds a huge extra cost to the Diploma! Thanks in advance!
Hi, Need your help. I registered for brewing diploma in the March this year 2023. I didn't know the depth of the syllabus. Now it's very hard grasp/ cover the full syllabus of all three modules. And the time very less. Can u suggest me a strategy for how to tackle these all three exams together. I don't have the last year exams questions.
Hi Amit, wow you signed up for all 3 modules together? That is very tough. I have a diploma in brewing, but not from the IBD. I would find other people who took it and ask for help. Also make a study plan, planning out all your time until the exam dates. Carefully go through the material and make a list of all the topics you are not confident about, so you can focus in on them as the exam gets closer. I also have some time, if you'd like to hire me as a tutor we can talk about that. Just email me at : brewbird.contact@gmail.com. Good luck with your studies!
Without a doubt, the prettiest distiller I've ever seen.

Thankyou so much for the information.. was really in need of this. Wish you luck for the future endeavours. :)
Thanks, best of luck to you as well.
Thank you for the video. I sit my Module 2 exam June 14! Feeling ok about everything except maturation theory.
Module 2 is my favourite module.
Thanks for the info. Will look into this. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the insight BB. Looking forward to learning more about it.
Any time!
Well done on the exam and Merry Christmas from me and Luna xx
Thanks! Happy New Year to you and Luna too!
P.S. I started living with a dog and a cat again, no allergies at all.

Lol, you notice everything. I was really tired when I filmed that, so I was kind of grumpy that day.
Congratulations!!
Thank you!!

Thanks! I already worked at distilleries in England and Scotland.
@@MissBrewbird Just read today that a brand new distillery is opening in Yorkshire which as you know is in England. . Another potential employer

I can do that!
Good job!

@@MissBrewbirdQuick update. I passed! Roll on Module 2 🎉
Thanks for sharing!! What are the books used in the courses? Can they be found at amazon or any bookstores?
When you pay the fee for the module that gives you access to their learning platform which has all the study materials for the exam.
Sorry Brewbird but I think You're better than your exams! You've already worked for/with many distilleries and you've done the work already!! You have even taught people (me) and the exam doesn't reflect that!!
Aww that's sweet of you. I'm just happy to pass, so it's all good.

“Limited experience” that’s the answer to your question man. Come on.

@@MissBrewbird does scotland have IBD physical schools where one can take the exam instead of using the laptop as internet around the world is varied

Hi, no I didn't. Way too expensive for me to even consider purchasing. I just studied on my own

Awesome video! Do you have the website for the exam?
Here it is: www.ibd.org.uk/ibd-qualifications/
Is this available in uk ?
I believe the head office is in the UK and the entire program started in the UK.
@@MissBrewbird wow thanks sometimes you can’t see for looking lol
Interesting channel my friend, new sub here.
Yay! Thanks for subbing.
Few people do it, because it's mostly a waste
