- This is Cedar Point B-Roll Video of the Construction of Top Thrill Dragster roller coaster. This was the worlds tallest and fastest roller coaser in 2003. It now stands as the 2nd tallest and fastest.

I've watched this footage like 8 times now! TTD is such a fun ride!
Funny to see them pour concrete with snow on the ground.
Most likely they used a high early strength additive for the concrete to harden faster to prevent the water in the mix from freezing up.

it not the best ride in my eyes but it is one to respect this was made in 2003 when coasters diesigners did not have ways to check g forces at high speeds like they do know witch is why it was only a big hill and a launch.

im going for third time this year but I have to say my fave is millennium dragster is definitely 2nd maybe even tied with first but really was gatekeeper not that enjoyable?

I really think that piece flying off was the final straw for this ride. It breaks down constantly and is a nightmare to run. I think it will be removed eventually along with Gemini to make the next world's largest coaster.
Gemini holds a place in my heart though... It was the first coaster I went on that I LOVED. The others were just fun.

Top Thrill is meh. Once you get past the novelty of being a hundred feet higher than Mellenium, it's just a super quick flashy gimmick. Never worth more than a half hour line.
I just got back from cedar point, and I think the top thrill dragster is the best rollercoaster in the park, possibly the world. I can't saw that about The gatekeeper

Sevendeadlysinsxx I can understand that it only goes up and down and the drop is twisted and that it’s only 17seconds but think about it like this cedar point has almost no space the fact that they thought of putting such a massive coaster in a tiny area was brilliant and they most likely twisted the drop so the gp wouldn’t be afraid to ride it making it a waste of money

Isnt a stupid ride but after Ka was built it seemed like it was built for no reason it’s a good coaster and it is great for cedar point and regardless of if you think this is better than Ka it’s still smaller and slower
