That rumble though 😍
I got to start one of these things as a kid. I'll never forget it.
Which class did you run as a kid?
@@jasonups5386 I was a old car meet with a track on a military base. I was just walking by with my pops and my dad knew the owners and they let me start it. I was like 11 maybe.
I was there Friday, got to hear the 787b start
when do you reckon your hearing will be back?
The sound of that V8 :')
Wow!! What a motor!!
David Law
Being a vintage -demo race at Laguna .,
He was having fun either didn’t qualify or just started at the back .. the other drivers and cars were running at what they felt was comfortable. he was hustling the vette around ruining it to redline. The top four were obviously running as hard or harder as he never caught the lead group and still finished fifth.
he The misnomer that you brake extremely deep into every corner is not always fast, mid corner and corner exit speed smooth slow hands bring fast laps consistently. My 8 years in SCCA running G and E production and 2 seasons on F Ford and Formula B. Taught me a little racecraft.
That engine sure had some grunt, he hunted down half the field and had more top-end than other cars.
Looks like nobody is anywhere near the limit. Even the guy we are onboard with is coasting a lot.
yup, wondered if he was holding back to warm up the tires but no..
Thought that was very odd as well. He's got WAY more power than anyone else and/or they're not using the pedal on the right. And nobody was threshold braking or anywhere near it. Lines through the corners were incredibly safe like they were amateurs. Interesting video but left me with a lot of questions.
awesome driving !
Excellent driving!
Sweet music!
Anyone have more information on this car? Is it a Greenwood?
I remember when they where at Long Beach
The world would be a much better place if we all drove one of these cars... especially taking grandma to church.
It must be a handful to drive, they struggled to get traction everywhere. Skilled driver!
not too skilled
Great class and seeing these guys drive them is amazing
I miss the trans am days, epic sounding cars
Wow!!
This has to be classic trans am cars no way this is modern day
Dude, you were hauling butt when I passed you!
what an awesome ride! would love to know speed at bridge and a fast lap time!
1 : 35's consistently
Engine sounds great, but what really surprises me is the gearbox. Those quick and clean shifts almost sound like a modern race car.
A quick shift - like on my bikes, I still use a blip before down shifting on my Ducati D 16RR, it was set up for track work by the previous owner and I never got the time to detune it to road pipes.
Even scarier to watch at 2X speed.😳
This vette is moving like it's in a faster class compared to the rest of the cars. He isn't racing anyone, just blowing doors off. Lol
It’s a shame we can’t see the wheel so we can see what the driver is actually doing.
he did very very well there! but couldnt help noticing he was wildly slow and often in the wrong gear on accelerating out of corners, even the most shallow corners of the course. hehe he needs to get used to curves in roads before any chance of podium! but should he master this, he will become a formidable opponent to the whole grid!
Maybe why he came from the rear of the field - qualified badly, I`d say he didn`t quite know the car or track, - he was quick enough to catch all those cars, but anyone can follow and make up time under brakes - I`m guessing new to the track.
The accelerator is the one on the right my man
Gt7
None of these cars are in that game mate.
I wouldnt show this slow racing sorry if its like some classic car race but these dudes braking at like 300 meters my 16 year old son could whip these dudes easily
How are they not deaf?
Ear plugs. And a helmet. Lol
No one is racing
