This episode also clearly shows how the inhibitor chips altered the clones thinking, even basic self-preservation instincts.
They completely ignored the fact that they are in a ship on a collision course with a planet, their sole focus was to kill their Order 66 targets.
Also I can imagine that poor Ahsoka having serious survivor's guilt after this, her actions eventually resulted the escape of Maul and the deaths of all the clones on board (except for Rex).
Although I'm sure they would wanted her to fight for her life and not let this evil plan to be successful (at least in her case).

Basically, the short of it is, he learned of Order 66 and Sidious had him kidnapped and put into suspended animation by the CIS. The CIS ship he was on somehow wound up stranded on a planet while he was in suspended animation. Some pirates found him while trying to salvage old war tech 50 years later and he ended up joining their crew. No real emotional connection to what is basically a living relic of the Clone Wars who probably blames himself for Order 66 (Not being able to warn the republic about it). 7:50 The fate of the Clones is very heartbreaking. They were saddened when she left the order after her being accused of a crime she never committed, then painted their helmets to match her when she came back to show there respect for her, then her being forced to fight them because they were programmed to do so, she never wanted to harm them, she still saw them as her friends as well as her family to a certain extent despite them trying to kill her. Burring them was very sad and heartbreaking...saying goodbye to the family she fought alongside for years as well as to the republic. Like Ahsoka said: “the republic couldn’t have asked for better soldiers” and we shall never see the likes of them again. The mission...the nightmares...their...finally...over. Farewell clones...we will never forget you and thanks for everything.

That lost shot of the helmet made me so sad. Like an entire era full of stories and people just gone and forgotten and the clone wars are only associated with fear and death. It's just sad to think about all the clones and Jedi that fought so hard only to end up like that trooper, nothing but a cracked helmet in the snow.

Back then I would speculate and head cannon every aspect of the prequel trilogy. I remember how people back then would pick apart the flaws in the movie but I always saw the potential in the story and had expectations of where I wanted the story to go and I must say that this series exceeded my expectations.

I enjoyed your reaction to this episode. Here is something to think about. In Ep5 of the Ahsoka series, during Ahsoka's World Between Worlds vision at the Siege of Mandalore, Anakin tells Ahsoka "Within you will be all the knowledge I possess". Taking this into account, Ahsoka knew the force power of psychometry, an ability taught to her by Anakin. Now, when Vader finds Ahsoka's saber at the crash site of the Tribunal, he would no doubt have been able to see everything that happened there in vivid detail. He knew that she survived, and that she had left the saber for him to find as a symbol of her turning the page and leaving the past behind. Such a gut wrenching and emotional episode. I miss Clone Wars; the finale was epic.

What I like about Maul's rampage here is that it calls back to a long forgotten, early idea that Lucas once had that Sith where never supposed to use Lightsabers. It used to be that the Lightsaber was a weapon of the Jedi and only the Jedi. Darth Vader used a Lightsaber because he was a Jedi, a Dark Knight archetype. For the Sith, the Force is their weapon.
