As always, a well done video. I've been in FO76 waiting for the update on the 15th. This will give me a head start when it does come out. I am looking forward to seeing how the ship stealing is now handled. Thanks again for an excellent video. Also, thanks for adding a link to give you a coffee... your videos are very helpful.
The 'affliction treatment' setting is sort of misleading in the sense that the highest difficulty option still has aid/treatment items being able to cure the afflictions just not as instantaneously as normal. The prognosis level has stages with the best being 'excellent'. These stages can be directly influenced by how many treatment items you use to treat an affliction. (i.e. using 2 injectors to first stabilize the affliction, then increase its prognosis to 'good'. The stages can also be improved or decreased by time depending on your environment). How it works (i'm pretty sure) is that prognosis levels that are stated to be 'stable' or above. Have a chance of curing the affliction, with better prognosis levels increasing that chance to cure.
Ok so Core Core which is "Cora" is my favorite person in Starfield, and so when Starfield first came out for early release I was looking for A Breif history of time, but I can't find it anywhere. I don't think it exists in the game. But anyway you give Core Core your books and she says some words of happiness and get some xp and dialogue option goes away, then go get more books and give them to her and rinse and repeat. Lol Amazing right?! 😊😊
Wow!! After all this time I had no idea the barkeep at the Red Mile was that attractive. How did I miss it? You know....... Every time I watch one of your vids I learn something new and valuable. Pro Tip. The vendor at Midtown Minerals next to The Rock in Akila is easy on the eyes as well. Remember. It's not the destination. It's the journey. Am I right? Great vid, btw.
TYVM! I’m not sure I’ve visited midtown minerals. This is another reason the new maps will be so helpful. If I see a gray icon, I know I need to visit.
I'm gonna have to toy around with the combat settings. I kinda want my new playthrough to be all about shotgun, but no clue how survivable that kinda up close fighting is gonna be with extra hard or extreme.
I tried an all grenade run on Normal and couldn’t finish off the boss. 😆 Starfield Essentials: Only Grenades for Bounty Missions - Yay or Nay ruclips.net/video/YK8DdsFIWoA/видео.html
My main (only so far!) character's go to weapon is a breach shotgun modified for max damage & short range. I play with no crosshair (so you have to be close to ensure accurate hits). It's a blast.
It does over 500 damage (i think 2 perks into shotguns & maybe 3 into ballistics which i guess must cover shotguns) & i'm playing on very hard. Enemies with 3 health bars can take a few hits, but i have perks whick knock them down & occasionally cause them to enter the bleedout state. It's fun.
Now Bethesda needs to make Core Core my favorite little co-pilot sit in the co-pilot chair and maybe Sam Coe standing behind her!!! That would so very Amazing!!!
The Sustenance feature is games breaking. DeanPo on RUclips has some videos where he is playing Extreme extreme and the positives and negatives for Sustenance are huge. He has a under level 10 and he can one-tap on extreme because of sustenance...
No, it’s not sustenance - sort of. There’s a bug - rather than sustance giving a 15% increase, it’s giving a 15x in increase! Hopefully BGS patches that soon.
This is now a hot contender for the "Stupidest ideas of all time" hit list. Why the XP component in it? This is a single player RPG. That makes no sense. I'll stick with my mods. They solve the problems much better. I now have a modpack with around 50 mods that makes Starfield a really good game. Almost everything in the update is already better implemented with my modpack. The only new feature would be the possibility to customize the traits in NG+ ;)
@CaptainBlaine I didn't say that XP is irrelevant for RPGs. I think it's absolutely stupid to hide such options behind something like that. That's the reason why I won't use that garbage. With Skyrim, it was already standard for a new game to change a few parameters with player.modav. I've had all this in my Starfield for a long time. It's a not exactly short script that is executed at the start of the game and changes a lot of parameters in the game. The rest is done by around 50 mods. One of the reasons why I wouldn't voluntarily play Starfield on a console.
@@xVirtualMagicx you’re an incredibly whiny and annoying commenter. People have choices to do mods if they wish. That is not the standard way for most people to play. I think a lot of people will enjoy these new options, and I think you need to get over it because clearly the standard game doesn’t interest you anyway. Just stop bothering people about it.
Yeah but a personally curated modlist is, well, highly personalized! Bethesda have to design a game which is a decent fit for literally millions of players. A modular difficulty setting menu is a brilliant addition. I think the +/- xp component is important too. It's a reward for challenging yourself.
I'm looking forward to this upodate. Thanks for the great overview.
TYVM 🙏

TYVM and THANK YOU for the first ever donation to the channel!
I gave Cora all my books and got some xp for the effort. So it is working.
Excellent!
@@RichardBejtlichit may have not worked for you because you spawned here in. Doing that can impact NPC behaviors.

Interesting. I guess I’m too impatient. 😂

Cool. I think you're right -- the book doesn't appear in the ESM for the game.
The only thing missing for me would be invisible health bars & enemy names/levels.
That’s a great slider idea.
I'll probably end up with around 10 to 15 XP boost. I'd like more but I don't have in me to put the game in full survival mode lol. Great content.
Sounds good. TYVM!

Bigger challenge would be if you could make the game harder AND turn down the xp. Leveling is pretty fast especially early on.
That's a good point. There might be mods that do that now?

That would be neat.
33% Solution put me in mind of Sherlock Holmes' 7% solution which he took to stave off boredom. Could be wrong though.
You got it! 👏

I think I'll increase enemy damage and player damage by one level. Sort of like fallout 4 survival mode damage numbers
Makes sense 🙏
Cant wait for console update
Agreed!
increasing player damage would make it closer to fallout 4 survival
💯
congrats on 1k subs
Thank you so much 😀
How far can it go into the negative?
I will check! Positive too.
If you play easy with #Starfield 1.11.33 Beta, it's -35% XP. If extreme, it's +75% XP.

@RichardBejtlich getting the LVL 100 achievement with -75% XP would not only be the Ultimate challenge in the game but also the most time-consuming.
No doubt -- the leveling curve in this game gets rough up there.
@@RichardBejtlichit's a game designed to last long enough to allow Bethesda to create ES6. Lol
Is this PC?
All platforms now.

I play on both PC and console so I’m still sorting out which mods I’ll keep on PC.
How tf is XP not DIRECTLY relevant to an RPG? I’m nominating this for “stupidest and most useless comment of all time”. Congratulations.
