    PSA: Turn "Outpost Item Rotation Speed" down to 1 in the Controls settings for a much easier time placing buildings and items and getting them aligned.

      There are other settings that help as well. Output Flycam Translation Speed controls how fast your marker moves over the terrain, Flycam starting pitch sets the view angle when you go to flycam and Flycam starting distance sets how far you start above the ground

      its not. theres not that much incentive to build outposts. for example you cant craft ammo, you cant even craft medpacks 😂 the only incentive for resources is for upgrading weapons and spacesuits.. and you only need that a couple of times.

    • @Beeblebum
      @Beeblebum  10 месяцев назад +1

      I tried with my ship, and while it is smaller than 40m, it does not land… not sure if it is because of the type of ship… or because there is a conversion error.. lol

    you can actually get iron nickel aluminium and cobalt in the same outpost in the bessel 3, there was a video explaining where exactly to land and its not difficult to find the spot at all. but i guess you can find places where you can get all the ores in any planet in one outpost, you just gotta spend time looking for the biomes

    • @Beeblebum

      Yeah, there are some really great spots to collect 4-5 resources at once.

    • @onndreah8492

      So .. unlike the procedurally generated secondary facilities on planets, are the resource layouts on a planet the same for everyone? I was following another tutorial yesterday and the resource types where the same but the location felt different but I might have just got the location wrong

    • @Beeblebum
      @Beeblebum  10 месяцев назад +1

      @@onndreah8492 they should be the same, the location most likely felt different because your ship might have landed on another spot.
      Or you just found another spot with the same resources. Once you are at the convergence of biomes, there are more than just one perfect location. 😊

      On Pc that should be the W/S keys and on the controller one of the thumbsticks. You can only raise it after you placed it, then raise it and confirm.

    All of these shenanigans should have been put into a side quest by Bethesda. But instead, they "outsourced" everything to RUclipsrs, just like how they make a half-finished game and let modders finish their job. I'm glad Bethesda is getting all the hate now because they deserve it.

    Christ, it’s like russian dolls. Can someone please write all the steps required in the order in which they need to be done? This should include all the Skills, resources (and the quantities) needed to even begin the process.

      Aluminium is used even in my native language (Dutch/Flemish).
      For me it sounds more logical as well, as other minerals are using the same pronunciation: f.e. Magnesium and Calcium

    But what is the POINT?!?!?
    Spend 10 hours on outposts or go to a store and buy whatever you need for 200 creds?
    It's obvious this mechanic only exists to waste our time and artificially inflate play-times.

    Keyboard building sucks and no snapping snaps even more. They need to implement something similar to NMS

    Hmm my solar arrays produce 6 and I'm low level af. No idea why. Maybe a companion bonus or something, but I just have the basic companions the story gives you. That's great cause I could use the same amount of solar panels and also get another 3 extractors for tantalum. Also what's the point of having Heller in your Outpost if his Outpost Engineering doesn't let you build more stuff? Does his skill even do anything lmao. Ah I found a Reddit post. It is useless. The companion skills aren't the same as your player ones.

      Depending in the planet, your power sources can do better. The fact that your solar panels gave more, probably means you have more sun… not sure how that is calculated, could be location on the planet, distance to the sun… or the angle of the planet according to the sun.
      Some planets will give much more wind power as well..
