I want to thank you for your video; it really helped me decide on this watch. It's been on my radar for a while, but due to its size on paper, I was hesitant. After watching your video, I made up my mind and ordered the green one at a discount for just over 80 euros. It's incredible what the watch offers for the money, with a few minor flaws, like the bezel action that could be better but is okay, and everything aligned nicely on the dial. Thanks again for your reviews!

I have this 300m in the Proxima and like it. Today I pulled the trigger on the San Martin mm300 version of this diver in blue. I couldn’t pass the deal up with the Black Friday sale and got the San Martin for $142! I was looking at steel dive and Addiesdive. I just couldn’t pass the $142 deal on the blue San Martin mm300. You got a good looking piece there!
The seiko factory ratcheting divers extension apparently works perfect with this bracelet and has been used prior in other RUclips videos. Not the prettiest OTF but it works….fyi…YMMV
I like this Steeldive very much, but I wish they would have used the PT5000 hi-beat movement. It’s a Chinese ETA 2824-2 clone and would provide for performance more on par with Seiko’s own 8L35.

If you know how to mod watches, you can open her up and drop a genuine or after aftermarket Seiko MM dial in

You won’t ever find an OTF clasp for this, and if you do, it won’t be very good. The reason is that the links are extremely long. For OTF clasp, the ratcheting system takes up clasp space, and to cover a full link of adjustment, the adjustment slots/indents plus ratchet would make the clasp massively long. In my vast experience I have found that OTF systems work best with shorter link bracelet systems like 5-link jubilee or beads of rice, 7-link style, or shorter “engineer” 3-link brackets. The fix for long 3-link oyster style is for the bracelet to come with at least one half-link, although two is better - one either side of the clasp. This allows for shorter OTF clasps. So many thick-head watch brands in Switzerland don’t understand this or they do, and just cheapen out and provide no half-links, even though they charge many thousands of dollars. It’s infuriating how they get the basics of bracelet sizing so wrong.

Does the bezel stay on? Have a heimdallar mm300 and bezel click spring sucks and pops off all the time

I had Proxima MM300. It was well regulated, but restricted access is too risky if they don't regulate well or it takes a hit during shipping. I like this design, especially Proxima version with gold hands and hour markers, but monobloc is just impactical gimmick for non diving daily use. I switched to Sumo.
I have bought so many Steel Dive watches over the last year its frightening, they are so good, recently i have become hooked on the Big pilot 1903 and have both Stainless Steel and Bronze models. I have many of their dive watches too including Capt. Willard models Turtle etc cant fault them. Great Video Thank you(:

Proxima is at least 1mm thinner, however I'm not sure about their module case design for MM300. I guess I need to get it in for review to fully understand all the advantages. Thank you for watching! 🙂👍
Just received mine from an Aliexpress seller. With my example, the bezel resistance seems a bit light, though the clicks are snappy and distinct. I imagine the difference comes down to inconsistent QA. As in your example, there is some backplay, and the alignment is just the tiniest bit off to the right. My only other complaint is a sticky foldover clasp. In the end, for the $100 USD I paid, I'm okay with these flaws, especially given that I'm not prepared to pay what Seiko is asking for the original.

Steeldive makes quality homages but I feel like you’re better off getting a SRP SEIKO at this price range unless you like getting wet
