How does this man answer Genesis 10:19, or Ezekiel 16? Sodom was on the south-eastern border of Canaan, not north of the Dead Sea. Sodom is south of Jerusalem, not east-northeast.

As with _Hebrew University archaeologist Dr. Eilat Mazar,_ whose career was so successful, this archeologist just studied the biblical narrative, --- so found where Sodom was actually located!
So many try to undermine, and discredit the Scriptures to their shame. But all their hammers of attack, up to this very day, lie broken around the ROCK of God's authentic TRUTH. 📜
In fact some of those hostile critics, now lie moldering in their graves, but God's Word goes-on, as modern skeptics increasingly are dismayed!

    Dear Troweling Down,
The question posed was, "Is Tall el-Hammam really Biblical Sodom ?"
I thought you would give some kind of defense for identifying the site as Sodom. However, I don't think you really answered the question other than made the assertion it is Sodom.
How do I know your assertion is correct or has any objective, evidential validity ??
Your video should have been titled, "How this excavation got started and was approved".
Because of the subject matter covered, I think that wold have been a much more appropriate title for the video.
    Be Well,

If you don't want to believe it's her, you don't want to believe it even if you watch it from the movie. While there should have been a huge mushroom cloud like in the Atomic bomb, even the places that were very close did not see or hear it. Those who witnessed the event were the Sodomites, and they all died. With not only one person left. It was one of the most well-covered incidents with no witnesses left behind. If he had been a witness, the information he learned could have carried humanity forward 2000 years. Maybe more. And it was very fast. Like a flash burst. It's like nothing happened when the flash light went off.
But I can write a tip for you. There they must find a woman's body under a large stone. That woman is the wife of the prophet Lot. Ignoring the command, she looked back as she fled and saw what had happened. A big stone fell from the sky on her head, she. It crushed her like a frog.

This is the teachings of men, not God. In another video he talks about the plane of Sodom in Genesis 13 which is correct. But he is North of Sodom in Jordan! Go to Genesis 19 that is where Sodom is destroyed by fire and brimstone by God! God be true and every man a liar, Romans 3:4

    • @Silverheart1956
      @Silverheart1956 2 года назад

      Dear @Pat the Rat,
There is no mention of the phrase that you said, "the plane of Sodom" in Gen. 13. (we might even mention there are no "planes" mentioned in the Scriptures, they had not been invented yet, Hey I misspell things too).
In Gen. 19, Abraham (I think that Abraham may be who you are speaking of when you referred to "he", but you were not very clear about this) was camped somewhere near Hebron (Gen. 13:18, 18:1). There is no indication in Scripture that Abraham moved from Hebron, and was present there during the events described in Chapter 19.
There is nothing in Gen. 19 that says, indicates or implies that Abraham was "North of Sodom".
Nor is there anything in Gen. 19 that says, indicates or implies that Abraham was "in Jordan".
Gen. 19 places Abraham near Hebron in the mountainous region west of the Dead Sea. (Gen. 18:1).
The place where the angels departed from Abraham to go to Sodom was apparently not at Hebron (see Gen. 18:16) and it is very probable that they (Abraham and the angels) had traveled eastward to the peaks of the mountains where they could look down upon the Dead Sea. From there they would have been able to see northeast to the Jordan Valley, and southeast to the southern tip of the Dead Sea. After he spoke with God there at that location, Abraham returned to Hebron (Gen. 18:33).
In the morning, Abraham left Hebron and returned to that place where he spoke to God and looked (Gen. 19:27), towards Sodom and the cities of the Jordan Valley (or plain = "Kikkar") (Gen. 19:28). These were the very same cities of the Jordan Valley mentioned in Gen 13:10, 11, 12.
From the place where Abraham stood looking, he could see the "smoke of the land went up like the smoke of a furnace". He was looking at the destruction of those cities of the Valley. God had served judgement on those cities of the Jordan Valley and destroyed them because of their sinfulness.
The distance would have been around 35 miles from the peaks of the mountains near Hebron (east of Hebron). He would have easily be able to see the smoke rising from the Jordan Valley from his location east of Hebron. He would have been looking towards the northeast to see the smoke from the citied of the Jordan Valley.
This location of Sodom fits very well with the Scriptures.
Abraham would have been located southwest of Sodom, near Hebron (not "in Jordan" as you said)
There is no evidence that Abraham was "North of Sodom in Jordan".
That actually sounds like you are trying to read some of your own ideas into the Scriptures, instead of allowing the Scriptures of God to speak.
Sounds like the video is using the Scriptures, but I don't know where your ideas are from.
Maybe you can explain how you get the idea of Abraham being "North of Sodom in Jordan" (Abraham was NOT in Jordan, in Gen 19; he was at Hebron according to the Scriptures.
I am open minded but I cannot see how you got your ideas from the Scriptures. If you still think you are correct then you will need to give strong evidence from the Scriptures to verify your ideas. I will not accept just your opinion.
Be Well, and have a wonderful Christmas !

No it wasn't. If Sodom existed, then it was destroyed at the time of the start of Egypt's First Dynasty, because Abraham, or the Abraham epoch, was contemporary with Menes, the First Pharaoh. See my book "Genesis of Israel and Egypt".
