During Operation Desert Shield, my unit traveled and camped in many of the places in your video as we moved into Iraq for what would later become the 1st Gulf War. Now, many years later watching this video it brings back many things I had forgotten. Mostly, I'm in wow that I was there and didn't even realize I was traveling and camping in areas of a biblical river that lead to Eden. It's sorta of a surreal moment for me now. Thank you for sharing this video! :)
The day Iraq occupied Kuwait was 2nd July 1990, I was reading a newspaper during the burial of my 14year old sister who died from Sickle cell aneamia, I had just turned 18years old.. When USA attacked Iraq on 2nd January 1991...and the gulf war started, I remember reading about the Missilies for the first time in my life ...

Were you situated in Egypt before entering Iraq? I was in Dahab and Nuweiba along the Red Sea coast that summer and there were American soldiers walking around in these Bedouin villages waiting to head over.

I was stationed in Saudi Arabia and we were military trainers to the Saudi army. When I was working at King Khalid Military City (northern Saudi) I could see this ancient riverbed running through. I knew when I saw it, that this was the ancient river Pishon. It’s amazing the these people also agreed it was also.
I was stationed in Iraq three times and lived in several different places- Balad, Al Taqqadum, Al Asad and Baghdad. Traveled a good amount of the country. It's nice to see it shaping back up and not in a total war torn state. Great videos!
One thing I'll never forget from my time in the Marines from 1999-2007 was being in Iraq in 2003. I was a door gunner on a CH-53 when flew over and circled Babylon. Even spent some time at the mesopotamian marshes where the three rivers converge.
I think back to that often, because I grew up leaning about it and then being there in person makes it really special. Obviously, I wish it was under different circumstances.
I was in and around the Baghdad area back in 06 as an Army Grunt. We are some of the bless ones to make it back and have our wits brother. Stay strong 💪🏽.

I learned around 2007 about the Marsh people who lived in the delta. They had been rebelling against Saddam Hussein. So the Iraqi Army had constructed canals to drain the delta to go after the marsh people. That dust storm occurred because the Delta had been dried up by the Iraqi Army.
Im Iraqi Christian (chaldean) lived my twenties in Iraqi, and because of war, i never had a chance to see the marshes or any other ancient sites! Im Australian citizen now, and i hope i can go back to see my country again .

So am I buddy I am an Iraqi Australian and I was in Iraq 4 months ago! I go there at least once a year since 2009 and never stopped travelling to Iraq.
It’s not dangerous, actually it was dangerous during Saddam time. Now Iraq is so amazing compared to before. I encourage you to travel and see for yourself self.
I feel the planet was changed drastically during the flood making it almost impossible to find such landscapes that existed before the flood.
Scripture and descriptions were written after the flood.
@@ImJustRob. That's true, but that doesn't invalidate armandsmit's comments. It seems strange to think that 4 rivers described in Gen 2 should still exist in the same structure when other landscapes (such as Grand Canyon) should have been created after the flood.

@@reformedbishop328also I'm pretty sure we would've found that flaming sword to keep all of Adam's decendants from eating of that tree of life that would still be there.
It is my belief anything that existed before the flood no archeological evidence will be found. Due to destructive forces of coming and receding flood waters and total tectonic plates shifting during the flood, no evidence would be found. Nor the lands would be in different places or changed all together.
The most logical thing I've heard about the four rivers is from God Culture and they caim all for rivers are under the oceans. They show evidence of what could've been rivers. But do I believe? Th jury is still out, but it is the most logical explanation I've seen.

The problem with this assuption is that the time line of the creation is thousands of years ago when the world template was one not several continent, and this Will mean that the whole earth was known as EDEN, includding the Americas europe Asia and the islands was a single template known as Eden, and God planted a garden in the east of the garden

Well don't believe to quickly. No one could possibly find the garden of Eden. During the flood the land was plastered with tons and tons of sediment. A tidal wave of mud basically hit the earth making super tall mountains etc. Eden is gone.

I almost cried when I saw the marshes in Iraq. I knew the Garden of Eden was there, and now it looks sad and desolate because of sin. But Jesus will restore the earth with His second coming foe the thousand years of peace.
I was at a funeral yesterday and I was listening to people talk about the man’s life. They said he grew up Catholic. In 1991 he was on a tour in Israel with an archeologist named Joel Kramer. It was on that tour that pieces started to fit together about Jesus and his questions were resolved. He was then baptized in the Jordan River. I thought that was so cool! Thanks for all you do because you are making a difference for eternity!

I worked in Saudi Arabia for four years. You do get that strange feeling that you're in a land with a very ancient history when you're there. The Saudi gold is famous especially for us Asians. Also, although the landscape has changed after the flood, we have to bear in mind that Moses wrote Genesis after the flood. And the context clues he gave could be applicable to the post-flood landscape.

But the evidence is there for those who look with eyes of faith. Like Joel's son said, it's not rocket science.

I think you need a better understanding on the difference between claims and evidence, and how to figure out what's true from what you just believe to be true. Joel was very dishonest in his presentation though, so it's not all your fault alone.
There's also no historical record of jesus. Just stories written decades after he supposedly lived.

You do understand that with your proposal you are looking at the flow of the rivers backwards. It states that one river splits into 4 rivers, but in your proposal you have it as 4 rivers converging into one river.
The whole thing in that book about they describe the 4 rivers flowing into one from down river is just trying to fit puzzle pieces into places they don't belong.
And even if you want to believe it is that way then Eden would be the Persian Gulf. Or at least sunken and would be part of the Persian Gulf floor.
I started to watch many of your other videos and came to a conclusion that your works aren’t self righteous but rather through them you honor and glorify God! I am sure the Father Almighty sees your faithfulness and He is pleased!
The Worldwide flood wiped out all evidence of preflood sights. The names were assigned from tradition and were not the original rivers. This guy embarrasses me.

I did very much enjoy this documentary,however while watching one detail came to mind. The flood happened long after the description of Eden’s location and changed the earth’s landscape drastically. Nothing is still where it once was as everything was changed by the waters and ground levels changing. And as beautiful as it would be to find Eden I believe the garden was a heavily garden placed here on earth by God to walk and fellowship among his beloved creation and was removed after the fall when man could no longer dwell among God in the same manner. The only issue I see rising from this is comments below questioning if the flood of the Bible even occurred. This is a corner stone of the foundation of our faith and cannot be in question without causing doubt to the faith, Psalm 11:3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? God Bless you brother and your ministry I pray you continue in the work God has you doing and may many souls find God and salvation through what you do for the kingdom of heaven Amen.

One thing this guy forgot, All land masses was together before Noahs flood. Many people seems to forgot about this.
Why do you believe this? The earth was first covered with water and then God exposed the land masses. So pangea and it's separation could have been all during the creation?

When the waters subside...guess what? The channel is still there! When the waters subsided during the global flood, the rivers are still there...just like the land mass was still there.

I’m happy you are serving God in this expedition type of way. You are helping thousands of people understand history better than any class in high school or elementary school. This is a section desperately needed in schools but of course the world isn’t ready for the truth.

There is no way this is eden. I love the Lord and the Bible. The ancient world wide flood would have completely erased all evidence of Eden. The mountains rose and valleys sank. They floated for 150 days before the ark settled, no way they ended up in the same area. When they exited the ark over a year later they were in a completely different area on a completely different topography.

Personally, I do believe in the "young earth theory" because it fits with the way Noah's flood would have to have happened. YOU are correct in assuming Noah would have been very far from where he began... BUT for God. It's very possible God put Noah exactly where he wanted him. AND it was close to the start of his journey.

Not only that, but the stream flowing out of Eden branched out to make four rivers. This channel is saying the opposite of what it says in Genesis 2:10.

That probably still remained in some capacity post flood, and the water would follow the path of least resistance. River routes would change, but they would still exist in the same general area.

I know it likely sounds strange, but my brain cant process abstract ideas in the frame of stories from a book. But you start to throw science and historical data and I can lock it down no problem. Wouldn't the worldwide flood of Noah's day have changed the geography significantly from the pre-flood days? There may be rivers there with pre-flood names, but that does not mean they are in the same place they used to be.

THIS IS FASCINATING! I’m an American Believer and after reading Gen about the rivers I began looking on maps and google earth. I also follow Iranian Nomads who are many moving from the mountains closer to the cities. I also follow families across the world who live off the land….BUT THIS ONE FAMILY FROM AN ANCIENT TRIBE…..take you on walking exploring tips up the water fed creveces of those treacherous mountains almost reaching the heads. They mention tribes who came from those areas…it is SO BEAUTIFUL…I TOLD MY HUSBAND IT LOOKS LIKE THE GARDEN OF EDEN! They also eat from the trees and gather resin from some in the drier areas…but there are fruits, nuts, berries, wild herbs etc. It is I believe close to that area you are researching but over the border to Iranian mountains! I never saw so much fast flowing water! Trees also look like the ancient type of cedars…shorter and spread out more like oaks….it is incredibly beautiful….in that desolate land of Iran. I wish I knew what town they are near. I watch mostly how they build and eat and survive but often they take these video trips climbing the watered crevice almost to the top, then find a place to build a fire, have their tea and cook over the fire…rest then clean the area and go back down climbing on edges far above the ground below….it looks like a garden of Eden! You can follow them on RUclips called “Daral - Iranian lifestyle” it’s mostly 2-3 sons, a Mother and Father. I hope you get to see the latest walking trip which was on 1-28-2024 I believe. The head anthropologist in Rihyad showed me cave art of fish and human feet from a cave in the middle of the desert. It is on display at the museum. He seemed very intrigued by the art and said there are no natural rivers in Saudi Arabia.

My own father worked for many years , over two decades , in Abu Dhabi , Qatar and then Dubai as a Civil Engineer . Amongst his skill set he could find water and rock sources , useful for building roads , docks and runways . He wondered what would happen when the oil reserves depleted and knew there were massive areas of desert which actually had sub surface water and soils good enough to grow desert hardy plants such as Castor oil . When trying to develop a home vegetable garden , a hobby he had taken up , in his out of town Dubai garden he found decent soil hidden under the desert sand . he was able to grow q lot of vegetables provided he was thoughtful about water use . His firm even built a special green house in his garden with hydroponic systems to experiment with castor oil plants . My point really though is that the Gulf , Persian Arabian whatever , might have been , probably was , a much greener place in the past , much more wide spread than the river delta at the closed end . Water and land both can raise and lower over time for various reasons ; I think the Gulf is sea water flooded at present .
PS The islands of Bahrain are worth a look as possibly being part of the garden of Eden ..... Bahrain has sweet water springs all over it's islands ..... In Qatar , in 1972 , I was taken to a large farm growing mainly tomatoes . The area consisted of a limestone low lying plateau . The farm was in a naturally formed depression , formed I think by collapsed cave systems , which had water not far below the surface . There were two places my father took me , in much the same area , where caves had collapsed leaving entry points ; we could hear running water but did not enter the caves fearing dangerous animals like very large lizards , seen on roads at night and or wild dogs , never mind the spiders . Lol

It’s probable that the flood drastically changed the surface of the earth and the earths crust. With tectonic plates breaking apart when the fountains of the deep came forth. With all the shifting of land when they landed with the ark it’s possible they just renamed the rivers they saw because they reminded them of the land before the flood so they borrowed the names even though they weren’t the same rivers.
Yes it's also probable that two of the rivers managed to not change that much and the other two disappeared or changed as in the video which are all possibilities as the Bible says water burst out from the deep
@@orpheemulemo8053 The pre-flood earth surface was destroyed (Gen 9:11). What we see today is the remnants of this flood destruction. It is possible he found the Pishon and if he did, the real Pishon could be anywhere from 50' to 500' below the surface where he drove his 4X4. Reality is, this is an exciting adventure to find nothing but a Saudi desert dry Wadi (wash) bed. The Pishon could be 1,000 miles North or South from where Saudi is. How far did Noah's boat float or get pushed by the currents anyway? Those rivers are long gone, buried under tens if not 100's of feet of sediment.
Yeah... Totally agree, the pre-flood world is gone. None of it is like it was. We went from one continent to 7. The rivers we know now were named after the originals. It's really important that believers read the bible carefully and understand the science behind what happened during the flood.

There was not a global flood.
These Rivers existed prior to the flood, which would have dramatically changed the whole geology and landscape of the earth. There is no guarantee that Rivers today with similar names, such as the Euphrates, are the same rivers, but rather they are more likely to be different Rivers that were given similar names to the previous Rivers by Noah’s descendants after the Flood.
Also one river flowed out of Eden and split into 4 Rivers not the other way around, see Gen 2:10 Now a river went out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it parted and became four riverheads.

And how is that scripture relevant? Regardless, the global flood of Noah completely destroyed and resurfaced the planet so any evidence of Eden or the rivers mentioned in Genesis were buried/swept away about 4500(ish) years ago. It is likely that the land mass before the flood, Pangea, suffered rapid continental drift during and after the catastrophic flood creating the continents we see now. When Noah and his family emerged from the Ark into a new world they would have named rivers and cities with names they already knew.

I found the whole search fascinating, I have read of course about the 4 rivers but to actually find the unknown one is fabulous.
I can only imagine how beautiful the whole area surrounding Kush or the cities established by the Annunaki was when the Tigris and the Ephrates fed the marshes. No wonder Eden was built in this area, the lush soils of the time and clean fresh water supply certainly made it an Eden!

I wonder how many Mormons have actually read the Bible.
Additionally, how many Christians have actually read the Holy Bible. A lot of preachers teaching lies.
Because if they read something that contradicts LDS doctrine they simply can say the Bible was mistranslated. That is their standard excuse.
@@gebswife Many have read the bible. I was raised RLDS, which is the oldest. There are Cutlerites, Hedrickites which came before LDS . My father was an elder and minister in the RLDS church. I have had Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants, I have been to Nauvoo and Carthage jail to see where Joseph was murdered (inside job BTW) and Independence.
I got my first book of Mormon at age 12.....By 18 I had left the church, because I knew it was a cult...my father left and mother left after me, and eight of the nine kids in my family left and disavow it.
As an Adult I was re-baptized in a Baptist Church....but most regular Mormons do not know the hidden lies .... But they do read the Bible....and explain it away. But many leave the church as adults who are not LDS, because they get out in the real world and see....BTW, YES I have read the Bible cover to cover. And just began again on Jan 1st...(not my first time) I finish Exodus tomorrow. But as to your question....every Mormon I knew had a KJV Bible.
But the Garden of Eden was pre-flood. There were major changes in land and rivers after the flood.
I am in no way disputing your statements here, I am just curious as to how rivers moved and changed. You are far more knowledgeable than I am so I cannot argue the point.

I thought the same along with Mt. Hermon where the rebellious angels came down and made a pact. That was pre-flood era in the time of Jared who was the 7th generation from Adam. How are these places still recognizable? I don’t doubt any of it just curious. I would think the flood waters would’ve drastically changed the topography of everything.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I would have liked it if he addressed this in the video. But yeah, all the evidence lines up so perfectly it's hard to dispute. God certainly could have preserved the geography of this area if he wanted. And if I recall correctly, Genesis was written after the flood. So, I think that could actually explain it. That answer just came to me. Hope it makes sense. Moses would have been using post flood geography and river names to describe the location of the garden.

Moses wrote the book of Genesis after the flood through inspiration of the Holy Spirit who knew exactly where the Garden of Eden was located. Moses (through inspiration of the Holy Spirit) was using rivers and landmark that were known at the time to tell us where it had been located. It is gone but it's location can still be known.

This is groundbreaking work, Joel. Many thanks. When I was working on my PhD, Dr. Phyllis Bird, a renown scholar whom I respect, told me that there existed only 2 out of the four rivers in question. That is what she was taught, but now I see that this idea is mistaken. Your video is very clear and convincing. Many OT commentaries have to be rewritten. May God continue to use and bless you. Keep up the good work. I have subscribed to your channel. Eye opening work for many who doubt God’s word.
Only 2 of the known named rivers are known. The other is conjecture and has a different name. It might be correctly the 3rd river, or that could be another river like the Pishon, waiting to be found. But his conjecture makes sense.
