The t-Rex was the one Dino rider I wanted for soo long. I still remember my birthday when my parents got it for me. I eventually got every Dino rider in the first 2 series except the brontosaurus. Sadly, my Rex was still in excellent condition, complete in box up until 3 years ago in storage at my parents house with my old things. . I recently found out my dad gave it away to goodwill in 2018. I get sick thinking about it still.
Always wanted one. Ngl saw someone dreaming on ebay wanting 19,000 for an unopened one. Hate to say if I had that money id blow it and open the damn thing, assemble it and relive my childhood. Still remember seeing the bronto back then for 120 dollars at kaybee toys.
This is probably my most favorite toy I had as a kid. I was a bit sad that Tyco was misleading us with the box art tho. The T-Rex had the cartoon coloring on the box, but the actual model was very different. Still great stuff.
Seein' you hold that, aw man, that must have been one of the biggest sources of joy on holidays and birthdays for many a kid to open up from the wrappings and being happy it wasn't just an oversized box for soft gifts for the lulz~
I only had one dino rider as a kid, think it was the Triceratops one, i would have loved the T-Rex but during that time I was hooked on M.A.S.K, The Real Ghostbusters and TMNT.
Hi, I’ve got this t-Rex in MINT condition in its box with all its assembly pieces from factory… I was a fussy kid who looked after his things so it was disassembled and everything put back as was in box after a very short time. I as well have the full set of the first wave of dinoriders all in mint condition. I was brought up in New Zealand so I never seen the second wave. I have 12 sets all up.
If they are all mint complete in the box with no broken parts, the lot will be worth heaps. It’s hard to price it correctly as demand and rarity effects the price I’ll say easy over 6k.
@@retrodinosaursandmore8294 I see there’s the t-Rex on eBay USA going for 6.7k with 33 watching it. Next time I’m in nz I’ll take footage of them all for you. Will the trend keep spiking or is it deflating & when do you think I should start selling them?
That would be awesome, I think they will keep going up, they are too cool of a toy line. I would only sell if you don’t have any attachment to them or ness the extra cash. I you keep them and they are in the mint condition they will keep going up. Imagine some sort of a reboot in the future they will be in high demand. Eventually Mattel will catch on dinos with guns is a winner.
It is a tight fit, from memory you need to go in between the guns at an angle, then straighten. One thing with these delicate toys is never force anything.
I'm on a huge Dino Riders nostalgia trip the last few weeks and you are the best! I'm VERY jealous and need to know: What do you think the Rex in box will go for on ebay these days?
Thank you for the positive feedback. The T-Rex with the box is not an easy find, I know there are more chances in finding one if you live in the US or Europe. The last one with a box sold for $1700 in Australia where I’m from. I’ll link some FB regarding Dino riders you could join if not already. Sometimes you can find good deals from collectors and the prices are way better then eBay. Dino riders international, Dino riders - buy, sell, trade and Dino riders collectors Australia.
Damn I have a massive collection it fills 3 garages but I don't even have 1 Dino Riders and those were around in the mid 80's right when I got into Transformers at 8 years old. So I been watching out for them in the 27 years of adult collecting. Anyways great look at the figures and boxes thank you for the review. One bit of info you called the snake guy a generic snake guy, but wasn't he second in command to Kronos in the cartoon?
Unbiasedly this is one of the best toys ever.
100%

Oh no, I had my parent’s give away some of my toys too, it is a yucky feeling. I still have hope that one day all these will be reissued.

Thank you, it is awesome.
This is one of the few videos on youtube. Thank you for sharing. It looks like a very beautiful figure.

That’s awesome looking after your toys as a kid was a great a great idea, as you can enjoy them.
From your professional opinion what do recon the 12 sets would be worth as a whole?

Thanks, I think by memory it was Rasp second in command and sometimes it was Hammerhead. Those two were always competing with each other.
@@retrodinosaursandmore8294 Hell yeah you got it right! Great toys again I have to say!
It´s incredible! can i ask you what´s the estimated weight of this figure with all the parts assembled? thanks!
About 3 kg
Is the toy story dinosaur based on this guy or is it just my eyes are seeing sume resemblance here?
