    Watched the whole thing. Im on day 5 on Buspar 10mg 2x aday for GAD. Ever since i got sick with the virus i never recovered and on top of alot of debilitating symptoms my anxiety became extremely problematic where on somewhat good days just thinking about going somewhere would make me extremely weak and make my other symptoms worse. Including if someone said “ ill be coming over in a few hours to visit” that would make me anxious. Hopefully this helps me and just wanted to thank you for these vid. They have helped me loads. God bless you and hope you continue to do good 😊

    So happy you posted an update, thank you for sharing! I take buspirone only (15mg/day) for anxiety and depression and it’s been working wonders for me! However, I also struggle with some similar side effects that you mentioned, such as having less of a filter and finding it semi hard to relate to others. Your explanations and examples are the best I’ve heard by far. I hope things keep getting better for you and that you continue to share your journey!

      @@robertmakesashow7089 Oml you answered me!☺️ Congrats btw on finishing nursing school🎓
      You’re so right it hasn’t been an easy ride. I was coming off of several surgeries in May during which unfortunately I found out they gave me an antidepressant I didn’t need (Duloxetine). What followed was me experiencing not only anhedonia but also extreme fear, anxiety & racing thoughts that I could not stop. It felt like(still feels like) my personality was removed.
      Each week, I came back on here to hear people say you have to stick with it it’s not instant but your videos spoke to me the most. Then last week I noticed that even though mornings gave me extreme anxiety by about 11 am/12pm things started being relatively OK.
      This past weekend was a test for me though. Anxiety in the mornings was hard to take thru Monday however by Monday it was lasting less. Today I had a couple hours of anxiety in the morning but afternoon has been relatively OK (it’s after 2 pm here in Hawai’i).
      Long story short I thought it wasn’t working but each week improved somewhat after week 3/4. On the downside my blood pressure started going off the charts last week and BP medicine is not bringing it down. My doctor thinks it’s another side effect of Bupropion (I do have other side effects like insomnia, headache-which I think is due to not being able to sleep) but HBP definitely has to be resolved immediately. He wanted to bring me off of it yesterday but it’s taken 4 1/2 weeks for me to have afternoons of normal non fear-ridden time so I really did not want to start something new & Yeah have to wait another 4-6 weeks to see if it will work. We talked about a supplemental blood pressure medicine to see if I can bring BP down and am going to switch from 150 XL to 100 SR tomorrow (once or twice a day going to test and see what works) to see if the anxiety comes down in the morning, blood pressure comes down and the insomnia goes away.
      I’ve made this very detailed in the hopes that my experience might help somebody else hang on or at least provide details someone searching for a solution might want.
      Please keep making videos and even if you add just daily fun videos please don’t leave out the progress/updates/issues you never know who it helps.
      I’m going to be smiling the rest of this afternoon because of you😆Keep being as uplifting, honest, & funny as you are. Hugs to you🫶🏽💜

    Hi Robert did you have globus (knot in throat) sensation when you had bad anxiety? The physical symptoms are so annoying like muscle tension, tight and tense chest, tight breathing etc.

    • @robertmakesashow7089
      @robertmakesashow7089  Год назад

      You know I had very very few classic symptoms with my anxiety. Which made me doubt i had anxiety at all growing up. So when things were overwhelming as they would be every single day, in my head, I would just say to myself “suck it up, people have it way worse than you”. Once I got a hold of my anxiety and could look retrospectively at my condition, I recognized that I had been feeling a profoundly menacing fear of just about everything on a day to day basis. I used to lay in bed and spin an exhaustive list of all the potential terminal illnesses and diseases I had. I could barely step outside my door without feeling crushingly uncomfortable. I once called my mother at like 4 in the morning sobbing and convinced that I had a few months to live due to multiple sclerosis. When i was younger though, my anxiety definitely made me overweight, gave me terrible acne and eczema and focus issues, and i was always sick all the time. I gotta say think I didn’t get too many classic symptoms though because from a pretty early age I’d work out manically and was able to bring my cardio health up to a very high point to where my low resting heart rate would keep my sympathetic nervous system from getting too stimulated. any way, go figure🤷‍♂️

    • @robertmakesashow7089
      @robertmakesashow7089  2 года назад +1

      the sexual side effects are definitely concerning! i take an ultra low dosage of zoloft so i get no sexual side effects. Also wellbutrin is what they usually prescribe to combat sexual side effects, when I first started wellbutrin my libido was off the charts it was actually a problem it later settled down though. these drugs work so different with different people, I hope they start kicking in for you more, it takes a while to get the full effect. i think honestly half of it is just my diet and exercise and good sleep that helps me. how long have you been on these drugs? it took a little while for everything to kick in hopefully they’ll continue to ramp up for you.

      @@robertmakesashow7089 I was on 10-20 mg of lexapro for over 10 years. I think going upto 20 mg really brought on sexual side effects. And i had weight gain and sluggishness. I’ve been on 150 Wellbutrin for like 5 months and just started trying 300 Wellbutrin and 7.5 buspar twice a day for 2 weeks now. Last few days my anxiety has been elevated. Not sure what my dr will think if I should give it more time or possibly go back to 150 Wellbutrin and maybe up the buspar to 15 mg twice a day. I have an appointment next week.

    • @robertmakesashow7089
      @robertmakesashow7089  2 года назад +1

      wellbutrin absolutely increases the anxiety but it settles down and then goes away eventually. Those SSRIs will really kill that libido but i think also maybe give it awhile and you’ll adjust. Hang in there! let me know how your journey pans out! Also consider events in your life, not that anxiety is okay, but it actually might be justified! work toward putting yourself in the best possible environment with people who actually care about your well-being. I wish you the best of Health!!✨✨

    Hi Robert. I made it all the way through the video! Thanks for the update on your journey. You really are helping many people by sharing your experience. I was prescribed Wellbutrin and found your videos while I was looking for reviews on RUclips. I was on Lexapro+Wellbutrin combo. And Prozac and Wellbutrin together. I’m still on my journey to find the right medication for me. Now I’m on Viibryd and Wellbutrin, but it’s only been a week so idk how it’s working yet. But Viibryd is a SSRI and “buspar like” medicine combined in one pill. My question for you is how did you and your doctor decide to start you on Zoloft along with the other two medications? My doctor had me stop taking buspar because he said the SSRI will combat my anxiety. Which it did but I know everyone is different. Are the other two medicines still working for you? And have you considered starting a different SSRI? I’ve only tried three and they all made me snappy when I’m usually a pushover. Prozac is very energizing and it didn’t make me sleepy. Any way I am so sorry I just wrote you a super long thesis essay. But thanks for sharing your experience you have been very helpful for me and I’m sure many others! Thanks!

The meds im on i sorta pushed for, i did a buncha research and then asked for a prescription. So far they work pretty well but ya know not perfectly. I haven’t considered an new SSRI but if things take a turn i might consider it! So far i’m okay and am able to be productive and stable. I really appreciate your comments and hearing about your journey!!! i hope things keep moving in a positive direction for you!✨✨✨ Thanks again 🙏

    I'm on 200mg Zoloft and I think it has stopped working like it used to. Now I am just so unmotivated. I have an appointment with my Psychiatrist tomorrow and will ask about Effexor XR, Zoloft was beautiful in the beginning, but I had to increase the dose gradually for it to work, now that I've maxed it out, I'm just not happy with it. Oh and the Sexual dysfunction on 200mg is just depressing.

    • @robertmakesashow7089
      @robertmakesashow7089  Год назад

      Thanks for commenting! Again, not a psychiatrist here but if you’re gonna go on another medication, it’s likely you’re gonna have to taper off the Zoloft anyway. Perhaps you’re taking too much Zoloft and it’s working “too well” so to speak. perhaps you can very very gently and carefully wean yourself down in dosage and simultaneously start exercising getting your cardio in 20 to 30 minutes every other day (literally the most important factor in combating mental illness), this could help kick your system back online. I wish you the very best on your mental health journey!! Just remember when starting a new drug it can take months before it starts to work, so hang in there!!! wishing you the best of health✨
