I love doing the way you are. Cutting out be hand, piecing by hand.
Thanks for this video. I want to try handpiecing small items. I do all my machine now. This looks relaxing.
So glad I found you, I’m about to start a dear jane quilt which I’ll hand piece and this video was just what I needed. The tip about the beginning and ending of the row of stitching was helpful so thanks for that. There aren’t a lot of videos about hand piecing, have subscribed 👍❤️
What is beautifully unique about you is your wonderful choices of combinations of fabrics in a quilt!! That’s a GIFT!❤
Thank you. I really do love fabric and choosing combinations 😂
✂️🧵🪡 I think you are great!!!
Love all you do. All the best with the new shop, and thanks for taking the time for the tutorial 🥰
Thanks so much! I cannot wait for the new shop!
A big thank you Bec for this video, and also for remembering me. I've been plodding along with my pieces. Have to admit my accuracy is not always perfect but I'm having fun, and I think this will help a lot. Also love the tip about placing the spot in the centre of a piece so they all turn out the same. I never would have even thought about this. Thank you again. Still love your videos.
Thanks Michelle - sorry it took me so long!
So excited to see a new video Bec! The highlight of my week!😄. Great tutorial! I will take away a few tips from you that I dont already do - thank you so much! Hope your mouth is feeling better💞
Omg my mouth is so sore!!! No chatting for me!
Thank You so much for showing us this with all your tips! I have already ordered some lovely items from your shop! You have me hooked lol Planning to make the gorgeous Needlebook . Hope you are feeling a lot better soon.Would really like to see your finished piece. Loving your videos too.
Thank you! I had to have some more work on my mouth so I’m super sore 😝
Thank you Bec for the wonderful tutorial! I am impressed that you are sewing your pieces by hand. It is inspiring. I have never been good with my sewing machine, but I do well when working by hand. I love your fabric choices too. Very cheerful! All the best to you. Lisa from California
Thanks Lisa - I am moving more and more to working entirely by hand - I’m not quite sure why!
Great tutorial Bec! You inspired me to start this quilt. have been using the stamps, quite good. Also down another rabbit hole with Gosling😂🐰
I think I need to get a stamp!
Love, love, love your videos !!!!!!!
Thanks so much!
I love a bent needle too!😍🧵
The more being the better!
Thanks for a great tutorial Bec ⭐️
You’re so welcome!
Thanks for sharing, Bec. I love to handpiece. I've been using the patchwork template stamps for a few years now, and they make my life so much easier. I suffer from Rheaumatoid Disease and all the tracing around templates was becoming a problem. Love the little scissors donyou stock them at your shop.
I don’t stock them as unfortunately I cannot find the wholesaler! I think I will have to try the stamps. Isn’t rheumatoid arthritis the pits
Great tutorial thanks Bec.
You’re so welcome!
This is so pretty. I love your fabrics! Thanks for the tutorial. I am just curious to know how you are going to stitch all the blocks together.
I need to do a joining row - but I haven’t chosen the fabric yet!
Lovely fabric choices!
Choosing fabrics is my favourite!

Is that what the dots are for??!! Do I feel a little silly. Thank you for that lesson. Simple but for people who have not done much stitching before it really helped.
Also congratulations on your new to be shop. I’m trying to convince my husband that I want a Newcastle holiday. He is a little perplexed by that.😂
I found you through the Roxy sisters and I absolutely love what you do and love the fabrics you stock.
I’m going to have to make the pouches, needle books, gosling quilt, the huswif, happily the list goes on. All the best for your future. Cheers Cathy from Adelaide
Newcastle is a great town to visit and not just for my shop 😂.
Oh my goodness Bec, this tutorial is GOLD for me.
It is just what I need to get started and just the way I want to do it.
I’m so grateful. Thank you for your chatty self and fantastic explaining….
Do you sell the sandpaper boards on line? I don’t think I saw them.
I have an order in at the moment and would love to add one into it if possible. You are the best! 💝
We do sell them! Just search sandpaper! And thank you for your lovely comment.
Found it thanks, I’ve just sent an order through to add to my first order - wow great Mothers Day package👏😊
It was so delightful to visit your shop from Adelaide. You both made me most welcome. The problem was choosing from your fabulous collection of fabrics and patterns xx
Thank you so much for visiting!!! Wish I could have chatted for longer.
I would have sew them in rows. What do you see as the pros and cons. What is the name of the little square you are using? I love seeing your work. A gal after my own heart. Inspiration for sure!!! Hello from Canada.
❤️
Where did you get the template?
