    1. Sleep schedule 2. Proper diet 3. Establish a communication system with training 4. Reduce energy level and heightened responses?

I was watching TikTok videos when one with macaws came on. My Amazon got so heightened so fast she bit me before I could toss the phone out of the room. She used to live with a couple of macaws. But I guess it wasn’t a good experience for her.

Beautiful bird! I really enjoy these master classes. Love seeing the progress in action. And I don't own a bird 😂💜🐦

Same here! I’ve really enjoyed just watching and learning. So many of their training techniques can be used with other animal species too.

You can totally tell that bird is going to have a fun life with these sisters. They have very fun and sweet vibes.

I have adopted a bird that was very aggressive but now comes to me and receives treats without biting, I can’t get to her step up to get on a perch for training, or is there one on utube. I might add, she was trained to take treats and responders not by me, I’ve just continued to keep her reminded of these things.

Behavior changing with age is super pronounced with hens,..there’s this magic moment like puberty in humans where they become aware of danger, or more self aware, around 6,8 weeks..

How many people think she will "calm" down?

Probably not but hopefully during training sessions she will be more conscious of how her energy affects her bird.

My parrots go into their cages at 8pm and eat their millet. At 9pm, I say goodnight to each one and then turn off the light and close the door. Not a peep after the door is closed. And at 11am, I open the door and turn on the light.

Isn’t it amazing!?! I put my amazon and macaw to sleep at 630 every night, and their light turns on by 8 (on the rare occasion we can sleep in hehe), but we usually wake them up around 630.

What do you guys use for treats for training? My boy is so picky. And has fatty liver disease so I do t want to feed him real fatty treats.

Cheerios have too much iron for parrots. I would use sunflower seeds instead for rewards.

Hi I just got a cockatiel from a bad house hold she was very nice the first day but she escaped from her cage and I couldn't get her back in so I lost all her trust because I forced her to step up on a stick to get her back in the cage am I able to get that trust back
