Love it when Dane is on
The way the "A" was lining up over the navy hoodie, I was convinced we had a University of Arizona Alum in the house.
It would be hard to pass on Garrett if the right deal worked out. but overall the right way forward for this team is through the draft and those picks.
Dane is a BEAST
I love it when Fishbain strawmans the fanbase into a monolith opinion on Ryan Poles to make an argument. Three years is a small sample size for a GMs draft record, also considering Poles did not have a 1st rounder his first year. Jim Finks who is probably the Bears best all time GM had a fantastic draft in 1975 then whiffed on the next three. Then he stuck good in the draft 5 years in a row. The Kahil Mack trade was a stupid trade that began Pace's downfall and a Myles Garret trade would be even dumber for not learning a lesson.
I think both lines will be addressed the hardest. We know Poles wants depth. I like the idea of grabbing an RB with a third-round pick. Make the new guy and Roschon compete for main carries. I don't think Roschon is the final answer, but I want to see what he does with a competent O-line and Ben Johnson. He could end up being a cheaper and stronger Swift with the homerun RB in the next draft.
I was thinking the same thing earlier when watching you all talk to Trey Smith-Hoge really is the ‘Pops’ of the crew.
😂
Id love Garrett but that's the old Bears. going after an aging Dlinemen when there's so many other holes to fill. Spend resources on OLINE during fa then draft well
Going after garret means you’re a Super Bowl contender. This team should’ve been second in the devision behind the lions. They are 2-3 olinemen away from competing in the playoffs don’t do a half measure and waste a possible Super Bowl run
@JJ-zr6fu you ain't Superbowl bound with this OLINE. resources need to go there for once. Bears have gotten the big time d player multiple times. time to focus offense. Draft D. imo
More BANG for the buck is Kaleb Johnson out of Iowa! PUNISHER!! 😊
I let my subscription to the Athletic go due to the lack of support but will miss the articles these two put out as well as the Beast
Please please let’s stop this Mikes Garrett nonsense now. Garrett is apiece you go get when you’re a piece away. The Bears- definitively- are not a piece away. They would albatross their ability to have upper echelon talent for the next two years while Caleb runs for his life. Let Dennis Allen be Dennis Allen with an already talented defensive roster and build that offensive line. I’m not saying don’t add pieces to the D line at all. But aggressively pursuing Myles Garrett is absolute folly.
100%!!!!
Or you have Myles Garret be a game wrecker. Get your oline on free agency and one guy in the draft and you’ve got a Super Bowl window. Caleb isn’t Mitch Johnson isn’t Nagy.
If Johnson can bring 75% of his lions production with top 5 defense which the lions were never close to having the bears are the favorite in the north. Garret is better than Mack
The problem is, no team is just a piece away, this year has proved that, you have to be able to make the strongest push you can every single year unless you're breaking down your team to start over which we are not
58:45 you have a QB to develop. A running game and pass protection should be first off the checklist . They're already a year behind after going WR last year. If you have a potential franchise QB you get him on his way before worrying about any defensive issues. He's likely the only guy in the building that could still be on the roster in 2035.
Having a franchise WR1 is a lot harder to get than a franchise lineman
Drafting Jeanty and trading for Garrett gives you guys lots of clickbait but destroys the Bears playoff chances
💯
Not a fan of lineman who will probably go or should go to gaurd as a top 15 pick. I was against drafting a RB in the first , until I did a deep dive on Jeanty. Jeanty is a freaking stud. He has no weakness. Reminds me of Payton a little bit. Tough as rocks, fast, quick, cuts in a dime , and has fantastic vision. No lineman in this draft would affect the offense like this guy. Easily better than Gibbs or Bijan all day!?
Yeah I’m with you. A top 10 pick should get you a star player. And an offensive core of jeanty DJ Rome and Caleb will be together for atleast 4 years which is truly a lifetime in the nfl.
Can we have some context with the swift trade? The lions just drafted Gibbs swift was expendable and they got a 4th rounder for a guy who didn’t have a role anymore. I don’t see the bears doing it this draft maybe next draft.
Dane is the only analyst I ever heard say OT needs to hit "that 33 inch number" with arm length. And I've heard him say that several times. Everyone else says 34 inch minimum for OT. I've heard that for several years. Not sure why he believes its shorter.
They better not give up a shut ton of draft cap for Garrett. Better move t Smith, and get Hendrickson. And make moves in draft and get some of these great players coming out
Also. Matt Nagy is a great dude who wasn’t a great coach. Big deal. If anyone is still sour about that guy, go kick rocks. You’re a child.
Nagy was WILLFULLY dogmatic and stubborn. He wasn't just bad, he was arrogantly bad.
I miss the Photoshop Post-it Note with Fishbain on it over Hoge's name
Vicks hole in one was at Strawberry Creek believe hole 13
Gotta say does anyone really care what Nagy has to say? We all know he's such a huge part of what Andy Reid is doing 😁
Josh Bellamy mention?!? He’s a free man?
Trade for Trey Hendrickson, cheaper trade for same quality as Garrett
In what world is hendricks the same as garrett?
Get Myles Garrett with 10 and a first next year!
A lot of people I hear are saying they aren’t getting two first for him if that’s the case bundle a first and second
Fishbain is the best
Kaleb Johnson is very similar to Jeanty and can get a whole round later
The more I watch, the more I like Kaleb Johnson...Judkins & giddons are 2 more I like..Giddons is shifty as hell
I like Omarion Hampton and Ollie Gordon
Omarion Hampton is the guy I want.
Big boy NFL running back right there..
@@KevinLampley I haven't checked Hampton out yet but he's on deck. This RB class has a lil something for everybody
Brashard smith is number 2 back, sleeper hit
Nagy is a good sport. Garrett would be nice, but he's not a fa. The roster isn't good enough to be trading high picks imo
Is poles still RAS guy if so I think he’ll drool over shemar Stewart the guy is a live wire on the field
No way! Unless they pay some his Salary.
Fishman!!!
Comment
dont forget the zebras
Back off the mic Johns. You pop your P's and muffle the sound. Fish sounds perfect. He's off the mic.
Bears should trade for Garrett because Poles will draft the wrong guy in the first round with those picks anyway. He always does
Poles obviously doesn’t draft best player available because Jalen carter isn’t a Bear
Jalen Carter on the bears isn’t Jalen Carter on the eagles look at Stevenson this year
@ huh?
