The very small visual addition of showing where Trevor and Connor have a guy ranked while talking about him is a huge win as somebody with the memory of a goldfish. Thank you.
One of my favorite things about this show is that its not about arguing, its about sharing your thoughts on prospects and being respectful where you differ
Quick note on Mikail Kamara out of Indiana since Connor mentioned him, Kamara is returning to Indiana next season so that's why he's not on Senior Bowl or Shrine Bowl rosters.
Lol @ 1:06:00 "Spring listing was 236. I think he's heavier on film..... I'd say he's 240" Really doing your film study when 4 lbs shows up on the all-22.
Me: what’d you listen to on the treadmill? Wife: just some house and hip hop music. Something high tempo. How about you? Me: podcast on the top 15 edge rusher for the draft in three months. Wife: … how long did you listen to that? Me: listen about to Donovan Ezeiruaku
I didn’t have time to get to his full eval in before this show but I like the midseason eval I have on him! I’ll write his after all-star weeks seeing him in person
@aceywacey05 Jackson looks, moves like jj Watt. Frame can get bigger stronger. When I see u throw 300 pound guys. I think green gonna be gone to Dallas. I'm a Washington fan too.
The more I hear people break down JT Tuimoloau the more he sounds like the Steve Spagnuolo/Bill Belichicl perfect DE: no bend around the edge, limited pass rushing ceiling, stout against the run, high motor.
@@TampaBayTre So who makes the most sense for Carolina? Travis Pearce Jr? I was warming up to Jalon Walker lately but it sounds like you aren't as high on him. I'd love Abdul Carter but I doubt he makes it to 8... Could a trade up be in the cards with all our draft capital?
@@natem1579 Abdul Carter likely stays as EDGE1 for the rest of the cycle, if the Panthers trade up, it’s likely with the Patriots at 4, so it wouldn’t be too big of a haul for him, but still worth considering that the team needs as much depth as it could get. The next two to consider would be James Pearce Jr. or Mike Green (Marshall). Between all these choices, they all have in common that they’re more of a finesse rusher for the most part, but still have traits of winning other ways, otherwise they wouldn’t be ranked this high. For the Pearce Jr. vs Green convo, I think it’s important to consider who is more adept at setting the edge (run defense), because then they can stay on the field moreso. Pearce Jr. also gets a nod for playing against SEC level comp, whereas Green will need a strong senior bowl to keep him in these talks within the top 3 EDGE guys.
here after the senior bowl measurements and holy cow Mike Green came in way under on weight, arms, and hands. lucky for the bucs tape doesn't lie and he'll probably test out like a freak
I do player evals for Rivals and am a PSU fan. Carters hands beginning of year were just ok. But his hands got better and better and once he got good hands to go with his freakish speed and agility, he was unstoppable. And I met him and he has killer instinct.
Browns are in such a tough spot. I cant even begin to wonder wtf they will do this year tbh. Theres an argument to trading anything of value until Watsons off the books because 170m deadcap is not something you can eat. Its still 100m next year. Idk wtf you do tbh.
Would be an absolutely devastating duo. But I wonder if they can afford to do anything other than take a QB or trade back. Carter is extremely tempting
1. Abdul Carter - Penn State (Might be my Fav player in the class (Other then Jeanty and Travis) 2. Mike Green - Marshall 3. Bradyn Swinson - LSU 4. Jack Sawyer - Ohio State 5. Jalon Walker - Georgia 6. James Pearce Jr. - Tennessee 7. Mykel Williams - Georgia 8. JT Tuimoloau - Ohio State 9. Shemar Stewart - Texas A&M 10. Nic Scourton - Texas A&M 11. Antwaun Powell-Ryland Jr. - Virginia Tech 12. Donovan Ezeiruaku - Boston College 13. Landon Jackson - Arkansas 14. Kyle Kennard - South Carolina 15. Princely Umanmielen - Ole Miss
This felt... strange. Maybe it's because it's so different from Summer Scouting but I guess this video & the Tackles video makes me feel like I don't know this draft class. Hopefully there will be less FYF next year during the season so we can truly get to know that draft class. Also, how big of a difference does scheme matter at the top of the draft? Seems like those guys are more ideal for 3-4 instead of 4-3 defenses
Did you guys get a chance to watch BJ Green from CU? Decent production, more so just looks the part. Long arms, good height and decent bend. Curious your thoughts!!
You two seriously deserve awards for these shows. The breakdowns, the analysis, and even the chemistry between the two of you is top-notch. Appreciate y’all boys! 🫡
It's a good year to need Edge Rush help. Hoping my Falcons double up taking some of this talent. I would love to get Mike Green or James Pierce Jr in the 1st, and then JT Tuimoloau or Landon Jackson in the 2nd.
When you do your final RB video, if you can find the tape, check out Targhee Lambson from SUU. Dude had an unbelievable season at FCS. Curious if you guys could see him as a next level guy
Was hoping to hear about Antwan Powell Ryland, very productive and at the senior bowl, why is he not mentioned often? Size? Athleticism? Production seems to be there
APR is a prospect that hasn’t been discovered yet by the mainstream media, once the draft process is over he’s either going to shoot up draft boards or teams are just going to miss out on a top 5 edge. It’s really weird with his lack of buzz, there’s guys even smaller and less athletic than him getting more fanfare like Donovan Ezeirauku who I like If he tests well athletically he’ll be going round 1 or 2
With regards to Ezeiruaku, Bill O’Brien had Donovan watch Von Miller tape and work on his bend. While he’s not Von, who came into NFL at just under 6’3 and 237 lbs and ran 4.6 40, I think Donovan will be low 240’s and run 4.6 to 4.7 range
I wouldn't mind the Commanders pulling a Texans and trading up to 2 or 3 for Carter or Pierce, but I think there's a real shot with the lack of hype and depth of the class that Mike Green could make it to us, and I'm all for that. After Green, I'd love for us to add Stewart, Ezeiruaku, or my guy Colin Oliver 2nd, 3rd, or day 3. They are just too good of football players not to make it in the NFL, and I see them ending up like Off-Ball Frankie Luvu/Ivan Pace types. Honestly, I wouldn't even hate Tripling up with Green, Pearce, or even Princley in the 1st, Ezeiruaku, Stewart, or Gillotte Day 2 and Oliver, APR or Bradyn Swinson day 3.
Just for the Plebes.. can you every once in a while remind of the meaning of alignment terms like 4i, 7-tech, etc.? Don't forget yr audience is very much autodidact non-athlete dads.
I have a feeling Sawyer is going to be the 2nd best in this edge class looking back 3 years into his career. Don’t See hin falling to the Lions, because he literally is a Hutchinson 2.0. He would look pretty good in a Bears uniform tho 🎉

Your not lying I’m tired of seeing arguing too 👍
It sets such a good tone for the community too
Just out of curiosity, what sports podcasts are just about arguing? I haven’t really experienced that with any podcasts I listen to
Whenever Connor & Trevor become NFL GM's it's great to know we have so many guys that can host the pod
Yeah, you've got to be joking, right?
@@NolaNerdof course they’re joking. I mean, some of these edge rushers aren’t even 6-4

Hearing that a defensive end “cuts linemen in half” when talking about David Walker made me like him immediately
As a Falcons fan this is so interesting as this is THE position we need most for next season. Great content as ever keep it up!

no Bradyn swinson from LSU?
They haven’t been enlightened
Surprised he didn’t even get a mention. Wonder if they’ve watched him yet.

JT’s speed to power moves are insane to watch especially against great tackle play he makes great tackles look weak when he goes speed to power

Glad to see you guys high on Green, hes my number 2 and it wouldnt even surprise me if he went top 10.
I’m glad you guys love James Pearce as much as I do. I put on his tape and honestly, it makes me giggle a little bit.

please no. Just take a qb and spare the rest of the league
Would 100% be a route I'd take. Reunite Cousins with Stefanski on a vet minimum, take a dart throw at QB on day 2 or 3. Punt on QB until '26.
1:39:44 you could say he brings the boom 😂
Did you guys get to Bradyn Swinson? Curious about your thoughts on him

JTT is my dream 2nd rounder for the 49ers. He compliments Bosa so well, especially coming from OSU. Fills that Robin to Bosa's batman need perfectly
He won’t make it nowhere near the 2nd rnd, these guys are terrible, they have him completely underrated

Tuimoloau at 12 is absolutely nuts lol
Watch Conerly’s tape against Carter. Or against the OSU edges when they played @ Oregon. He dominated both matchups.
