I was promised that I'd be told where Jonathan Brooks would fall in this years list, I feel lied to smh. Jokes aside love this episode and cant wait for Jeanty to emerge from the pack as the true RB1 for this year!
Loaded RB class. Offers a bit of everything (power, speed, etc) but definitely lots of "weight room" guys as you like to say haha. Fortunately for Henderson and Judkins, in sharing a RB room, their bodies won't have to take a huge toll this upcoming season. Trevor, I also love the comps you've been doing. Helps me further grasp these players after learning about some of them for the first time.
Emil Lachheb Slatwinski BKA Míl Kiper's 2025 RB Summer Rankings: 1. Ashton Jeanty 2. Quinshon Judkins 3. Ollie Gordon II 4. Omarion Hampton 5. Treyveon Henderson 6. Damien Martinez 7. Kyle Monangi 8. Nick Singleton 9. Devin Neal 10. Trevor Etienne Great video as always fellas, love your work !
Best part about this Ep is that the Draft Sim is getting blurbs early. I remember signing up for PFF at Thanksgiving bc the 1.0 of the draft guide was out. I can't wait to see the board grow and evolve over the year w/ more than just grades to go on!
Do agree with Hendersons injury risk but 2 notes on him. He actually played WR until at least his junior season in HS, he's wildly underutilized in the pass game. He was electric on screens his freshman year and they just don't throw them anymore. Basicallt no one seems to know the story on Judkins, so here it is... he was pissed at Ole Miss because he's their star player name wise and I think they spent a bunch of NIL money to bring guys in and didn't have enough to pay him enough in respect to what they paid for others. 2 kids in his class transferred to OSU last year (including Davidson igbonosun who started at boundary corner) and they're close friends. He entered the portal quickly, called him, told him he wanted to go to Ohio State. Davidson told OSU coaches, they reached out, he said I wanna come. They're like well, we think treveyon is going to come back, I assume you thought he was leaving? And he was like I don't care I want to come either way. They then called treveyon and said hey, we know you're leaning towards coming back, quinshon judkins wants to come here and says he wants to come either way. Henderson entered Ohio State's recruiting class with the #5 RB recruit in the country (he was #1) and they both actively talked about limiting tread for the NFL as being a big reason they'd both committed). Treveyon told the coaches he'd love it if judkins came. They told judkins he's in. Judkins got paid well afterwards, but it wasn't an NIL thing, that's why he was never truly connected to *any* other schools. If you are an NIL kid, you shop yourself and make teams worry. OSU finally started using NIL like 6 months ago, but a lot of their portal wins were less NIL than people seem to believe, they just had the money afterwards to pay them their going rate. Julian Sayin, #1 rated QB transferred from Bama after 2 weeks when saban retired, along with caleb downs. OSU was the runner up in each of their recruitments and particularly with Sayin, he reached out to OSU, told him he wanted in, OSU coaches didn't want to take him at first (they had gotten air noland 2 weeks prior and he was their QB2 of the class on their board 2 weeks ago). Day *LOVED* sayin though (I talked to a guy covering recruiting who had spoken to day at a camp before sayings junior year and has other ties to OSU. He mentioned at that time how much they loved him. Eventually decided hey, we want good players. We will figure out how it changes other plans later, but he also wasn't an NIL guy
Nothing stronger than the admiration 6 y/o me had for Joseph Addai after watching him jump over the d-line to beat the patriots in the conference championship and send the colts to the Super Bowl.
Fantastic as always guys! Recommendation though, would love to see the ages of these guys in their bios too. Year is great but age gives us an idea of how young/experienced they are and is a big component when drafting. Love y’all!
Looks like an excellent Draft Class at RB, thanks for breakdown, sleeper pick is Iowa's Kaleb Johnson. He ran behind a terrible Oline with all time historic bad QB play but his top tier games are NFL level. His athletic traits are elite too.
I am at 32 running backs for this class so far. Can confirm it's a special class and there's still room for some guys to break out and others to move way up. Can't wait for the season.
This RB class is legit insane Soooo many guys who could make big impacts in the NFL For Treveyon Henderson to be as far down lists as he's become shows the level of this class
Love the jaydn ott inclusion here, that dude is absolutely the real deal his speed is legit. From watching a lot of cal games in person he plays at a clear level above everyone around him
Fun list. I'd say take a look at Tahj Brooks from Texas A&M as well, just an absolute mauler who runs like the rent is due. 1500 yards in 290 carries, and was going up against some fairly stiff competition (Kansas, Oregon, Texas, Kansas State). Definitely someone I have in my Top 10, even if the long speed and overall shiftiness at the second level is a step below some of the others in the Top 10 for me personally.
The image of Omarion Hampton lining up in the backfield, pointing to a mike lb, and saying "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU." has some Longest Yard energy and I am ABSOLUTELY here for it lol
Finally, some scouting love for QJ. Breaks my heart that he transferred away, but he was great at Ole Miss from day one as a true freshman. In my biased opinion the most talented back in the country.
Omarion Hampton reminds me of Fred Taylor, but not quite as big, fast, or creative. Still the freakish explosion, the physicality, and that frame - not to mention the 28 - conjure those memories.
Just scouted Hampton and had the exact same thoughts. Super close to being an RB1, but he doesn't match the creativity and ball carrier vision of the top guys. His physical talents make up for a lot of that ground, but he's just short of being RB1 heading into his final season.
Little late comment and I’m not sure if anyone has already mentioned him in the comments but did either of you happen to watch Jonah Coleman? The Arizona back that transferred to (I believe) Washington? He’s an absolute dawg out there. Only one year of production but he seems like a guy that could explode with the right opportunity.
I love Ollie Gordon as a prospect. I see him as an incredible zone runner. Almost half of the nfl teams run the Shanahan style offense and I think he fits the outside zone perfectly. Just think of how Derrick Henry builds up speed on outside zone. He also is great of counter and trap runs. I think we could see Ollie Gordon be a 1400 yard season guy and the way he runs he just gets better and better each quarter.
Nick Singleton outside the top 8-9 RBs in this class needs to be talked about so much Massive drop off last season so could be the biggest riser this season
Jaydn Ott is Him. I've been following this dude the entire way, and he's just getting better. I've had him in every devy league I'm in for over a year.
I remember there being a lot of hype for nick singleton his freshman year and then last year the numbers just didnt look as good. What went wrong there?
Devin did play baseball his freshman year, but decided during his sophomore year that he was going to stick exclusively with football. KU had a TE do the same thing. A slight factor could have been that KU went through a coaching change between when he was recruited and started playing. And while KU is doing well now and better/over on win totals each year, they were as bad as it gets when he was being recruited. He just wanted to stay home and make a difference. They call him the mayor.
I know Judkins past workload is impressive, but he specifically mentioned reducing that workload as a primary motivation for coming to Ohio State. He doesn't want the Jonathan Taylor criticism of too many miles on the tires come draft season
I think Montrell Johnson could be a really interesting prospect with consistency. Good combo of burst, vision, and agility. Just seems like he can’t put all 3 together game to game
I feel like I'm a bit higher on Ollie Gordon than you guys. Admittedly I'm also scouting the name, but he kind of reminds me of something between Jonathan Stewart and Corey Dillon.
Watch out for jaydon blue. Probably won’t even be the starter at Texas but he’s so fast and had a higher yards per carry than Jonathan brooks last year
Big fans guys! Love the pod. I’m a collegiate athlete, and I’m looking to get into something like you guys. Long time addict and would love to talk sometime. I’m also 6’4 270 so I can co-host the pod!! (RB List In "reply")
Also my RB rankings: Devin Neal Ashton Jeanty Quinshon Judkins Ollie Gordon II Omarion Hampton Trevor Etienne TreVeyon Henderson Jaydn Ott Damien Martinez Donovan Edwards Jordan James Nick Singleton
Bhayshul Tuten is a name to watch. His yards after contact and forced missed tackles is very good. If Virginia Tech’s offensive line was average he’d have went for 1500 total easy. Also can return the hell out of the ball on kick return
I feel like every year there’s one or two players that I think “Man, this guy isn’t going to get drafted, but he’ll make a roster.” One of mine this year is Josh Williams, the running back from LSU. He’s a grinder and does a lot of little things at a high level. I could see him finding a spot. Do you guys have some of those from this past draft or maybe ones you’re already seeing for next year?
Gentlemen I’ve had a thought hearing you mention Gibbs going 12 overall. Is Brad Holmes the 2.0 of Les Sneads “F them picks” where instead of trading them all, he simply says to hell with it and takes the players he wants where he wants?…
invested in Jud in both of my devy leagues a couple years ago. fingers crossed he keeps his head on straight after the rumblings of him not being the “best” teammate at ole miss
Can someone explain why Judkins had 4.3 yards per carry as rb 1, I mean that’s bad for any college running back and the worst of any guy with 1,000 yards
Very funny to continue to see the Henderson love (don’t see it even when healthy, never healthy) and no love for the Penn state backs. Singleton by the time this year + the combine is over will be a top 75 draft pick.
Damien Martinez looks a lot like Steven Jackson when he was at Oregon State in the early 2000s. Same size, speed, agility, only he's slightly shorter at 6 foot even. Steven Jackson was 6'2 238 with 4.45-4.50 speed. He was one.of the nfl's sleepers during his playing days with the Rams. His replacing of Marshall Faulk was textbook on how a team replaces veterans with new incoming rookie talent. The Rams didn't miss a beat when MF retired. SJ was the dual threat that MF was.
Since your top 4 all consist of the same four players (in different orders), and they're all juniors, do u realistically think they all enter the 2025 NFL Draft? Or who would u think does, and who would u think returns to college?
Nothing gets me jazzed in the summer like the idea of how good of a early day 3 value a running back could be in ten months
Gets me going better than pre workout
“NO ONE KNOWS WHAT IT MEANs… BUT ITS PROVOCATIVE”

Honestly the boys (and bootleg) coming back just as teams break until late july is perfect timing. An oasis of great content in these dry weeks.
Love coming back to these and seeing how on the money they were on a few of their evaluations. (ex. Ashton Jeanty)
glad im not the only one who did that for jeanty
I was promised that I'd be told where Jonathan Brooks would fall in this years list, I feel lied to smh. Jokes aside love this episode and cant wait for Jeanty to emerge from the pack as the true RB1 for this year!
Was wondering if I missed it or something!

1. Judkins
2. Hampton
3. Jeanty
4. Brooks
5. Gordon

Hahaha omg so good
MOMMA MIAAAAA
I feel like the biggest question from this episode is not about running backs. It's whether Connor is attempting to grow a moustache?
I saved all the summer scouting to watch at once. I am starting now, and I will watch them all over the next 7 days.

Finally, some scouting love for QJ. Breaks my heart that he transferred away, but he was great at Ole Miss from day one as a true freshman. In my biased opinion the most talented back in the country.
Was curious where Phil Mafah at Clemson ended up on your boards. Has the motor and power to be a top 5 guy in this class imo
Omarion Hampton reminds me of Fred Taylor, but not quite as big, fast, or creative. Still the freakish explosion, the physicality, and that frame - not to mention the 28 - conjure those memories.
Oregon St likes those big boy RBs This guy and last year DeShaun Fenwick that’s about 500lbs of backfield right there
Just scouted Hampton and had the exact same thoughts. Super close to being an RB1, but he doesn't match the creativity and ball carrier vision of the top guys. His physical talents make up for a lot of that ground, but he's just short of being RB1 heading into his final season.

He's not quite there but check out Dylan Sampson against UK. Think he can be on this list by end of season or going into next year's summer scouting.
I love Ollie Gordon as a prospect. I see him as an incredible zone runner. Almost half of the nfl teams run the Shanahan style offense and I think he fits the outside zone perfectly. Thoughts on Boone or RJ Harvey at UCF?
Boone is unreal, he just has the worst fumbling issues
Nick Singleton outside the top 8-9 RBs in this class needs to be talked about so much
Massive drop off last season so could be the biggest riser this season
Thoughts on Dylan Sampson from Tennessee? He always popped to me more than even Wright. Super dynamic with flashes of receiving ability
Jaydn Ott is Him. I've been following this dude the entire way, and he's just getting better. I've had him in every devy league I'm in for over a year.
Ok, so who’s the Audric Estime of the 2025 draft?
No one. There will never be another Audric. Should have gone #1 overall this year
I remember there being a lot of hype for nick singleton his freshman year and then last year the numbers just didnt look as good. What went wrong there?

Where does Tahj Brooks and RJ Harvey sit on your boards?
So early, the first two clicks didnt have sound.
You’ll get to see Martinez week one Trevor. It’ll be very similar to what Ray Davis and Kentucky did to y’all
I love Ashton Jeanty. I watched 1 mix tape and he was my favorite RB other than Achane
I feel like I'm a bit higher on Ollie Gordon than you guys. Admittedly I'm also scouting the name, but he kind of reminds me of something between Jonathan Stewart and Corey Dillon.
Where'd you go for bagels?
Watch out for jaydon blue. Probably won’t even be the starter at Texas but he’s so fast and had a higher yards per carry than Jonathan brooks last year

How good are these guys on a scale from Zac Stacy to Audric Estime?
Gentlemen I’ve had a thought hearing you mention Gibbs going 12 overall.
Is Brad Holmes the 2.0 of Les Sneads “F them picks” where instead of trading them all, he simply says to hell with it and takes the players he wants where he wants?…

Trevor's opening monologue made me pause the video and go watch 20 minutes of Antone Smith highlights
Very funny to continue to see the Henderson love (don’t see it even when healthy, never healthy) and no love for the Penn state backs.
Singleton by the time this year + the combine is over will be a top 75 draft pick.

Trevor coming up eith comparison like he used ChatGPT😂
Watched Tahj Brooks. He’s def top 8
Have I been lied to about Gordon? I was under the impression that he was going to be the rb1 this year. I guess I didn’t do my research.
Alright, yall be cooking up dope in the crock pot. Out here feeding families

Devin Neal will be the biggest riser come draft time.
Judkins is playmaker #1 in the class. Special player
Jeanty is #1 RB and it's a shame people don't get that just yet.
Go throw on Phil Mafah's tape against Notre Dame and in the Gator Bowl. IMHO he was a better pure runner than Shipley last year.
What about the Don
Since your top 4 all consist of the same four players (in different orders), and they're all juniors, do u realistically think they all enter the 2025 NFL Draft? Or who would u think does, and who would u think returns to college?
