One of the best most draft videos I’ve seen, great energy, good amount of banter, and for the most part everybody made good points for each pick explaining the need and/or value. Of course I gotta point out 1 thing in the mock I didn’t love the fact that nobody traded up for McCarthy, just feels like picks 7-10 are teams that want to move back, and with the Viking picking at 11 I can see Broncos, Raiders, or Saints jumping them.

If my Vikings stay at 23, I'd lean Jackson Powers-Johnson if the DTs are gone. Instant starter at guard if not center for when Bradberry inevitably gets hurt again

#23 Jackson Powers-Johnson makes a lot of sense. Bradberry has been terrible except for last year he was average. We need a bigger center to take on DT’s. And if that’s the move i wouldn’t mind trading back a few spots and somehow get a late 2nd or early 3rd if not more.
Thank you Trevor, I’ve wondered why Johnny Newton is considered a reach in the top 10, he’s easily a top 15 prospect. Falcons IDL is aging a bit and Newton would thrive in their 3-4 base alongside Jarret and Onyemata. I honestly think it’s better value than any edge at pick 8.

Vikings fan here: if they keep 23 I think they go DT, although Newton and Murphy II won't probably make it there. Otherwise I see either CB/DE or a trade-down. Very slim change they go offensive line too.

Interesting note on Seahawks draft tendencies: John Schneider has been quoted as saying interior offensive lineman are "overvalued and overdrafted" in the league. He also doesn't tend to draft them very highly or invest in those positions in free agency. So even though IOL is one of their biggest needs, it would surprise me if they picked one high.
No doubt. I feel like we have Jonny Newton circled on the big board and if he's gone then we try our best to trade back for a second or third rounder

Arnold to the Vikes was solid. At that point with the way the board fell, other options would have been Latu (Edge depth is lacking and Latu has the size to shift inside on passing downs ala Danielle Hunter), JPJ (Interior O-Line is a weakness at all 3 positions), Brian Thomas, Jr to bring in as WR3 (Super Tempting to go Worthy to stretch the field for JJ and JA as well), Not opposed to dipping further into the DT class and snagging Fiske or Sweat either, they don't pick again until round 4, so they won't get a shot at a starting caliber DT otherwise.

i feel like everyone chalks up the falcons not needing another WR but people are drafting high end WR2s for Cincy Buffalo and others idk why they wouldn’t take rome as BPA. Londons already approaching his 3rd year
Vikings fan- if we were able to get our qb at 11 and keep 23 would be an ideal scenario. I think the 2 main targets at this pick would be Murphy or newton. If these 2 are gone I could see powers-Johnson at guard. Vikings have a hole there currently and would upgrade an already good oline. I also could see edge go here if a guy like laitu is available. I don’t see the Vikings going corner this early considering they have heavily invested into that position the past few drafts. Ideally though would be DT 100%. Went hard after Wilkins and free agency and came up just short. Such a huge need and a game changer like that would change Flores defense.

Outsider looking in at the franchise.. seems like Harrison Smith is the energizer bunny that never loses juice, but would you consider safety 1 at 23rd overall?
@@JusticeDutton doubt it but you never know given the fact that Flores has 3 safeties on the field almost all the time. Smith is actually probably our 3rd best safety behind Bynum and metellus. Our biggest strength on our defense is safety. Also have Lewis cine who was a first rounder a few years ago.

love ya trevor but man we cannot go Alt at 5 when our starting wrs are palmer and johnston. regardless of how much harbaugh/roman will want to run the ball you can't go into the year with those as your best pass catchers. Nabers/Odunze/Bowers is the pick at 5 in this no-trade scenario
You don’t have to fight me too hard bc I think Nabers and Odunze are fantastic and you’re not wrong about the WR room. But I will say I do think the Chargers are in long-term rebuild mode (so like 2-3 years) and that opens the door for Alt
Pipkins was the 2nd best olineman on the team last season. Unless Salyer and Johnson stop being traffic cones and Bozeman plays much better than he did last year in Carolina that oline is not going to go from horrific to just regular bad.
people forget that Harbaugh didn't just run the ball every play in SF. They were at the expected run rate in the first half of games. in the second half they pretty much stopped throwing it after getting the lead. Also the fact that they actually had good wrs and weapons in general something the chargers don't have at all right now. Plus the only wrs that are rostered after the 24 season are QJ and Darius Davis and nether of them are NFL caliber at this point.
I think with Joe Hortiz will continue to build the team like they have in Baltimore and they haven't put really anything into the right tackle position other than stop gaps since Brown left. I don't even think they'll have Alt as their top tackle anyways he's just not the typical Harbaugh/Roman style of tackle. Fuaga makes way more sense if they went tackle

For your 23 question, I would love the 2 DT's who are off the board, then I would consider an interior o-lineman. JPJ makes sense, Terrion Arnold at 23 would also be amazing if we kept 23 and still got a QB
As a Vikings fan if we kept that pick 23 Arnold would be 🔥 there. Personally I really hope Newton drops to 23 and we get JJ at 11. That said I hope we move up to grab a QB and if JJ is available at 5 with the Chargers willing I’m not betting against them sending both those first rounds picks for McCarthy and not risking he drops to 11.

Great triple threat idea. After seeing Trevor on Hack City/First Team draft show, what if you did a fatal 4 way with them? Trevor vs Connor vs Joe vs Ryan. I feel that Ryan or Joe will be ones to purposely trade up to annoy one of the others.
