I believe what he is saying is that black men do not need black women because they have an open market to other races. However, black women are not highly sought after for long term relationships or marriage by men of other races. Black women are the least married, the most single parents and are closer to the poverty level than other race. The more we gaslight ourselves the longer we will be this statistic. Black men are marrying women of other races as black women are still trying to be Ms. Independent. I need my fiancé and daily I show up as the woman he wants. He takes care of me in life and my appreciation shows up in many ways as I take care of him in the home. I'm supportive and I understand that I am not the head of this household. It wasn't until I really started to listen to Kevin Samuels without taking the message personal, that I started really reevaluating myself and making adjustments. I'm a 6 figure earner and it feels amazing taking the load of the household off my shoulders because they were not built to carry the weight. When I met him I was already a business professional and business owner, I owned my house, and my kids were adults already. As black women we need to wake up and smell the coffee. Black men have no problem getting more agreeable, domesticated, feminine, fit women whom aren't baby mothers from other races.
