As a retired truck driver the best advice I can give is invest in a mini fridge, an electric stovetop, a nice TV/computer, a small grill for summer, adblocker for listening to things on youtube, A dehydrator for fruits and meats. My dad has been a truck driver all his life . Construction mostly. Just hauling gravel and dirt and rock to and from different spots in need of it. and he used to take me with him sometiemes from ages like 5 to up to about age 8 or 9 I don’t even remember anymore. Used to love that shit. He’d prop his hand over mine and lay it on the stick shift as he drove and would make me pretend I was the one driving as I was in the passenger seat. I remember napping sometimes the WHOOOLE job lol. The snacks and the views you get riding passenger were boss. I’m 25 now and life is kicking my ass and nothing will ever be that blissful
Listening to you talk about your trainer man really hit home to me... I failed my pretrip the first time, took me 3 extra months to get my CDL. the day i completed my test i went back to CDS to see him and get "verbally beat up" (all in good fun) and i heard the news that the morning i completed my CDL he didnt wake up. He passed away the same day i finished my test.... The other instructor that taught me specifically was really hard on me. As i got better he loosened up, i nearly walked and hung up the keys. but i stuck with it, he grew to become one of my favorites, i found out the same day that the one instructor passed away, that his cancer had come back aswell. so that part of this video really hit hard for me. God bless you brother in all of your journeys.
I stumbled upon your videos today just by chance. I’m a woman interested in jewelry and fashion, but I find your content very entertaining and interesting. I didn’t realize what life on the road for a truck driver is really like. You really have some obstacles, and it’s not easy. I’ll keep that in mind from now on when I’m driving around. We all owe you credit for the job you do.
If you are a 24yr old Truck driver, I take my hat off to you. It's a tough job and not a lot of "young" people want to have a job where grinding is the only way to go. I even want to say that I'm proud of you man.
its not about grinding itsabout patience in that job we dont like...even me if im not moving constently i will get bored and not want to do anything there is a difference. also i dont want to have to start my day like he does. wake up and take 8 hrs before i hit the road?....tf is that shit?.....aint worth the headache imo.
It is a tough job. I’m 22 and I haul livestock and after each load you have to wash the trailer out which takes close to 2 hours. It’s not for everyone

I’m a truck driver and I’ve been driving a truck over 20 years. It’s a rough and tiresome job. But it’s really good money. I can take care of my wife, grandkids, and step-daughters! It’s hard to be in a truck as much as we do, but it’s a really great career. Thanx for this video bro. Stay safe out there
I appreciate y’all. I used to work underground in the coal mines in WV and made some really good money but Obama came along and destroyed the coal industry so I met my wife and packed up and moved south in 2017 and been trucking ever since. I’m 23 years old and I’m in the process of becoming a truck driver. For the majority of my life, I was surrounded by truckers. My grandfather, uncle, cousin and my dad were all truckers. Ever since I was 5 years old I wanted to be one. I always wanted to see other parts of the country. Watching this video just makes me want it even more, it’s even wanting me to start a new channel like this one. Alex, any tips for a potential new driver and possible channel?

Beat you to death.. hauling paper rolls to 38th street and broadway, new york... yah, the new trucks, nice. oh ya, 18 cents a mile at that time...stay safe bro

It’s a job somebody needs to do, but I just can’t see it for me. When I’m not driving, the job stops. If I’m not at home, I want to be getting paid. I can make $75k and have a normal life.

Always cracks me up to see the modern day truck driver. Automatic transmissions and no backing up off a narrow 2 lane rd onto number 2 gravel with the fear of tipping over your trailer and trying to get out even with the splitter on.
You make really good truck videos, your audio is good and video quality is very good, I've seen a few but first time making a comment. Very enjoyable to watch the ups and downs of a truck driver life, you keep it real, keep on trucking as they say!
This was my first time watching your videos from your channel. This was actually really entertaining man. Very talkative which i find very entertaining as well. My dad used to be a truck driver back when i was a baby baby. He let me sit on this lap one time and let me try to turn the steering wheel. lol So as you can imagine watching your video with a pov? Brought me why back to some golden memories. 🥺 Thank you! Definitely subbing to you.
Safety first, Brother. Always hit the airhorn before backing, even in the yard. Also, never exit the cab facing forward. Back out of the cab with three points of contact at all times. It's easy to miss a step.
I agree, safety first. But I don’t think they have to always use the air horn if there isn’t anybody around. Cause honesty, I’ve seen truckers pull into a place to pick up their load, and it’ll be hella packed and they never use the air horn, just backs right in and leaves. Kinda nerve racking because that place where these truckers go (a building right next to my company) is always packed, and it’s a very narrow, spot to back down in. And trucks are literally mirror to mirror parked beside each other
I just got my permit a few days ago. Super excited for the behind the wheel training. I’m definitely going to stay tuned in. You make the turns look really easy bro. That’s the part I’m nervous about lol.
Always thought about getting into this line of work but don't know if I have the endurance to do it. I some times tend to get drowsy and tired when I'm driving long distances. Thanks for putting this content out there so that people like me can see what daily life is like for truckers.
I use to get exhausted after like 3-4 hours when I started I was extremely worried about what I had gotten myself into… after a few months it got better and now after 3 years a I can do 11 hours with my 30 min break somewhere in there
You've picked a HARD profession, I hope you always have good health and do well. GREAT video, I appreciate all you and the other drivers do and feel so bad that ya'll have to endure hateful people driving your fuel prices so high. Be safe.
Keep up the good work! I started driving for schneider when I was 21. I used to love being the young gun out there on the road. That was 10 years ago now! 😳
Thanks for taking my place in the line. I did 25 years OTR, 2 and 1/2 million accident free miles. Two happiest days of my life was my first and last day holding that steering wheel. Good luck and enjoy the ride. Remember “ You are like a whale in the ocean. Let faster fish go by they get caught sooner”.
Great video! I use to be a trainer. I had a student that we didn't see eye to eye either. Two adults cramped in a small box for 4 weeks can put most people on edge after a while. Great video and insight. Curious as to how many hours on the road you spend each week? I’ve always been intrigued by truck driving. I’m in Banking data analytics, so it would be a heck of a career change for me!

If you ever read my comment I'm still so scared to go trucking but literally watching your videos it doesn't look that bad at all!! Maybe I will make that call to a recruiter to a trucking academy and go for it thank you for sharing this kinda of videos for an inspiration!!! Cheers!! By the way are you a dedicated route driver, regional or nationwide and if so which and what is your best advice that you recommend I take when I decide to go trucking!!! Thanks!!😎💪🤗😊🙏❤🔥
Alex, I have a question. I'm 19 and I've been thinking about getting into truck driving for about a year. You honestly convinced me its the job for me. I live in LA, CA. I've been looking for applications but most companies have a 21+ policy even though you can legally drive intrastate at 18. Do you have any advice?
Tomorrow is my last day out with my TE before I go test for my cdl. I have everything down pack but backing! Some spots I’m good at others not so good, kinda frustrating but I know that it will come with time. When you back it looks so easy just like when my trainer does it. How long did it take you to perfect your backing to your liking? Great vids btw, stay safe on the road bro.

I agree with you , I always let truckers move in to the lane but some are assholes too
My dad has been a truck driver all his life .
Thanks for all you do man! I appreciate truck drivers for making life city possible.
It’s not for everyone
its jus a debilitating job
I'm 35 with 7 years of driving it's fun just stay positive and focused and pay attention don't speed.
I’m 32 been driving for 9 years. Let’s go
just wanna say thank you for driving truck! we need yall more than we think, my dad is a trucker has been for 30 years and i see him once a week, but i am currently studying for my cdl and im really excited for it
I’m a truck driver and I’ve been driving a truck over 20 years. It’s a rough and tiresome job. But it’s really good money. I can take care of my wife, grandkids, and step-daughters! It’s hard to be in a truck as much as we do, but it’s a really great career. Thanx for this video bro. Stay safe out there
I subed to you
I appreciate y’all. I used to work underground in the coal mines in WV and made some really good money but Obama came along and destroyed the coal industry so I met my wife and packed up and moved south in 2017 and been trucking ever since. It’s long hours and miles but I can take care of my family comfortably
What’s so hard about truck driving ? Like being in the truck for long periods or watching out for Idiots who be cutting you off?? Or just dealing with the loading docks taking forever
@@shadowk4718 ✅️all of the above
@@SLYT3K lmao I bet man I think the hardest would be being away from your fmaily
I just turned 24 and I am getting my license as soon as i can to help my family with money. Seeing you doing this I feel I can do it too. I am still nervous about driving and taking the test
How did it go?
I just turned 24 last month.
My grandfather retired w “Teamsters” and has made me proudly respect all truck drivers.
Cheers and best wishes, get that bag.

You guys suck killing people on road go to hell.
I’d love to do this man. I’m a loader at ups and this job sounds like heaven compared to what I’m doing now 😭
1973, 21 years old, fresh out of the army. First truck was a 4200 series cabover International. AC was a trane 250 model. drive 50 with 2 windows down. sleeper was 2 foot across and 6 ft long. Beat you to death.. hauling paper rolls to 38th street and broadway, new york... yah, the new trucks, nice. oh ya, 18 cents a mile at that time...stay safe bro
Sanitation driver here in Anaheim, CA I thought my 5am-4:30pm shifts were long. mad respect to you and semi drivers man it must be hard not to go home to your family. You gave me a new appreciation for my fellow truckers. Thank you 🙏🏼
We appreciate it. There's a lot like me who don't get to go home for 4-5 months at a time and then just get two days off.
I’ve been driving for about 20 years. I give these guys credit. I’ll take my 6-4 shift Monday to Friday with no weekends any day. I like to sleep at home and have time with family. It’s a job somebody needs to do, but I just can’t see it for me. When I’m not driving, the job stops. If I’m not at home, I want to be getting paid. I can make $75k and have a normal life.
Most people your age don't want to work and you're here taking on the role of the backbone of the country. I salute you!
Hey fam, another ‘98er here, I’m a railroader. Love what you’re doing and keep up the hard and amazing work. Thanks for everything you do.
I’m currently 24 right now & am in the process of getting my cdl to become a truck driver! I know there’s a lot of bad talk about trucking but I’m excited & hope earn my license to start trucking! You got my support brother, & a new subscriber!
I Love these videos Especially since I started out right around the same age I was 23 so I can relate for sure 10/4 to this guy. And to all of are brothers and sisters out there keep doin what you do we keep the world going see yall on down that interstate
Very thankful that I found this channel. Super down to earth and relatable. Thanks for all you do bro. Respect 🫡
Definitely subbing to you.
one of the strangest things ever but when a recommended video pops up you already know it’s gonna be a banger
And trucks are literally mirror to mirror parked beside each other
This videos moves out all the stress I have while I'm the road with semi truck gosh so much stress out here
I just got my permit a few days ago. Super excited for the behind the wheel training. I’m definitely going to stay tuned in. You make the turns look really easy bro. That’s the part I’m nervous about lol.
good luck man you got this bro
Success in all ramifications
You will master it king ✊
You are doing a awesome job keep up the good work trucks forever🚛💜
Always thought about getting into this line of work but don't know if I have the endurance to do it. I some times tend to get drowsy and tired when I'm driving long distances. Thanks for putting this content out there so that people like me can see what daily life is like for truckers.
You get used to it and tbh that’s the worst part about it, one of the most chill and free jobs you can have
I use to get exhausted after like 3-4 hours when I started I was extremely worried about what I had gotten myself into… after a few months it got better and now after 3 years a I can do 11 hours with my 30 min break somewhere in there
@agonz did this type of job ever mess with your sleep schedule? I have some crazy insomnia I feel like this job would be bad.
The skill and patience you have is incredible
we know from the alram sound, this man is man of culture 😂
Bro you doing your job so just do what you need to do I'm still looking at your videos bro I'm here with you keep up the good work 🙏💪💪
rip to the trainer. Respect to you for talking about him on your video.
As a former beer deliveryman / truck driver, the sound of that Toyota pallet jack brings me back a flood of memories.
You've picked a HARD profession, I hope you always have good health and do well. GREAT video, I appreciate all you and the other drivers do and feel so bad that ya'll have to endure hateful people driving your fuel prices so high. Be safe.
hard 🤣🤣
Keep up the good work! I started driving for schneider when I was 21. I used to love being the young gun out there on the road. That was 10 years ago now! 😳
I smoke weed so they won’t let me be a driver anywhere but props to ya for doing hard work that is essential
Mann, papa you got skills , backed her up made it look sooo easy!!
Love watching your videos man I was scared to become a truck driver and you motivated me ngl
That’s awesome what you’re doing , you guys are the real hero’s that don’t wear capes
Bro I love this kind of content. Nice and chill
Cool watching your videos man theyre relaxing. Much respect to truck drivers
Love watching your content all the way from Australia 🇦🇺. So relaxing mate! Probably not so much for you though haha.
I think so
Crazy watching the beginning of this video. I grew up in and around Kingsburg and recognized every road.
Difference between a 24 year old like you and a 24 year old like me , you can be moved and I'm just a waste, keep growing keep going
Dude wtf nobody is a waste. Keep your head up
bro Its 2 am and I was just binge watching your IG reels. SUBSCRIBED!
Lmao the alarm sounds are hilarious 😂😂 great video my man
Love how you are both fluent in English and spanish
Whoa brother Lo haces muy bien el trabajo y la manejada espero q un día q Dios me dé la oportunidad de ser un trailero como usted
Best alarm fosho 🔥
Thanks for taking my place in the line. I did 25 years OTR, 2 and 1/2 million accident free miles. Two happiest days of my life was my first and last day holding that steering wheel. Good luck and enjoy the ride. Remember “ You are like a whale in the ocean. Let faster fish go by they get caught sooner”.

Awesome! It's good to see the young folks getting out here and taking this career by the horns!
No joke, sometimes I watch your vids and want to change my career to be a truck driver!
So cool
It looks you're from the valley? I think it's awesome to see a young driver making the most of his days and his career. Love it bro. Felicidades
Looks like the Fresno area
I made a video almost like this one about a week ago, good stuff man! I’m just grinding my RUclips channel too! Stay safe out there G! keep the grind

Great video! I use to be a trainer. I had a student that we didn't see eye to eye either. Two adults cramped in a small box for 4 weeks can put most people on edge after a while. Sorry for the loss of your trainer. One quick question, What is the GoPro mount you have on your mirror? Keep the videos coming! I am a new subscriber!
Yeah man I realized that early on haha. & thank you. He was a cool dude nonetheless. & it came with my go pro hero max that I purchased.
@@alexnino_ Thank you for the quick reply. Stay safe!

Love the video... i wanted to drive, just never did. But use to go on the road w my step dad when i was young. He ran nation wide... have a lotta awsome memories.. your doing a great job...

RIP dude, had a guy like that too an amazing dude who taught me so much, yet I almost couldnt stand being around him after 5 years.
seems really cool. you keep the country going with supplies. so with that I thank you. real question- How do you have a family life when you are away for days? Is it hard?
Sorry for the loss of your SUPER COOL TRUCK DRIVING TRAINER my dude. He wanted you to be THE BEST !!!!
Great video and insight. Curious as to how many hours on the road you spend each week?
I’ve always been intrigued by truck driving. I’m in Banking data analytics, so it would be a heck of a career change for me!
I’m currently in the insurance industry. Work a 9-5 office job but seriously considering quitting and going to trucking school. So I’m in the same boat as you! I’ll let you know how it goes.

Nice Giggity Alarm on the cell phone. It sounds like a family guy character on an airplane.
LOL I felt that brother, I hate being around people too, feels like a waste of time when I have a family to hangout with instead.
Come work for usfoods tough job but very great pay for being a local driver
Sorry I don’t
@@eliasstorch5034 Appreciate it anyway. Anything helps.
@@lsxjosh4217 I'll definitely look into it
He don’t reply but he wants you to buy his merch 👍
I like these videos when they also show the beautiful scenery as they drive to different locations
Just go slow and your be good i drive Otr with my clp my test august 2nd
@@BAJANBWOYRELL yea that’s what he told me. Said do little turns at a time with the wheel cuz if I turn too much then I gotta fix just as much. I can do a 45 but that’s what they was teaching us in school, but one dock was slanted I was aiming good at first but started turning the wheel too much and Fkd up 🤦♂️ but I’m determined ima get it. Preciate the feed back
Good luck man, it’ll be a walk in the park for you 👏🏻
Around 6 months and you wont have any problems 99% of the time. Ive been driving 2 years now and backing is just as easy as driving. You’ll get it like everyone else
the same here I just started I have 2 months now driving sometimes it’s hard for me to park on tight spots
Start my driving school on the 7th! Glad I found this channel! Cool watching to see how people handle and do certain things! I’m excited!
The alarm tho
I was a 19 yr old driver and it is one hell of a career man. Keep your nose on the grindstone
I'VE BEEN SEEING POST EVERYWHERE ABOUT FOREX TRADING AND CRYPTO CURRENCY, A LOT OF PEOPLE KEEP SAYING THINGS ABOUT THIS TRADING PLATFORMS PLEASE CAN SOMEONE LINK ME TO SOMEBODY WHO CAN PUT ME THROUGH..?
All you need is a professional trader to avoid
making losses
As a beginner who don't understand how
Bitcoin trade really works and you really want
to make profit from it. I will advise you to first
start working with a professional
Because my portfolio has been going down the drain while I try trading, I just don't know what I do wrong!
I have also been trading with her. profits are
secured and over a 100 percent return on
investment
Investing in crypto is a plan for the future so
it's high time people understand the
importance of investment.
My dude went blind side with that dog right there 💀 what a place to put a dog doe. Good job. Almost as smooth as me
always had an interest in this, but im already anti social and a loner and im afraid that this profession would really isolate me and ill separate myself from everyone including my family. i love my solitude. driving has never bothered me for work as long as i have my music, a good podcast or a good youtube channel. i drive a sanitation truck now fyi
If anything it might help your social anxiety. Being busy is key and when you come home, you’ll be more appreciative of the people around you.
Only 24 god damn so young , you have a life ahead of you bud enjoy it
i just turned 21, and i've been looking for a good job for me with minimal person contact, and i love driving so i felt trucking is for me, idk how to start or where, but i want a career in this if i can't get my pilot's license
Usually your local DMV has trucking training advertisements after that there will usually be a lot of trucking companies advertising on their trailers give them a call.
Really enjoyed watching this video! One thing i realized is you dont get any exercise at all and i understand you dont have any time but at the end of the video when u wake up and ur doing ur walk around to check if everything on the truck is okay, stretch out and check if everything on ur body is okay:)
Love the vlogs keep up the good work! Trucking is a passion many look down on.
I played a game like this, watching this makes me more excited.
You seem to be doing very well for yourself, being in your early 20's and all - GOOD job man.
