Glad you found your polycarbonate at least 🤭 Sometimes they are never seen again. Like others have said, sealant might help, but I tend to have the best success by sticking bamboo canes across the poly, often you can slot them nicely into the slots of the frame so they're locked in place. Green side up has a great video explaining how he makes blowaway tunnels last for a long time - essentially building beds inside the frame, but anchoring them to timbers which are feet into the ground. And then you put the plastic of the tunnel up against those beds, and then on the outside you screw timbers through the plastic cover to hold it down!
I feel seen during the polytunnel chat 👀👀 🤣 I spoke to a very knowledgeable allotment holder on my plot on the weekend and he gave me some amazing advice - his polytunnel has lasted years but he does still take the cover off in winter! When I put my new one up I'll create a video of the advice I've been given and what I'm doing differently!

@TheGrapevineGarden I said I must listen again when back at my allotment,I'm not going to grow many from seeds this year, that's my thought now. Going to putlrchase from centres partially grown ones. As I want to focus on sorting the place out. Rejigging our garden, got out in it yesterday, and thinking of making a small glasshouse, not walk in.
@TheGrapevineGarden Danny, manifesting in my head, without telling my hubby, it may never happen ha ha. I'm not as handy as you when it comes to building.
I bought a 6×3 metre polytunnel. Anchor the frame on each corner and bury the skirt at an angle .it even withstood the storms of 2021..I replaced the cover last year but had to buy it from another company and as soon as I saw it I knew it wasn't going to last because it was so thin and last week's winds tore it apart .
Great video. I put sealant all around the panels in my greenhouse at home last year. Fingers crossed so far they have stayed in place. The range looks lovely for plants. Will definitely visit.
Hi Danny, as you know i don't have a plot and just use the back garden, i have had a few of those cheap polytunnels the green cover and the white, the main problem with them is the covers they have are so thin that a few weeks of bad winds and the cover is wrecked with little squares everywhere on the floor from the cover, the metal posts are ok as they are bolted together but those covers blimey they are garbage. Stay Safe. Barry (Wirral)

We got a poly 2 years ago and first winter it blew away twice and so we can only ope the door one side now as been taped the corners are taped as fabric ripped.it’s taped up well the flaps are dug in and we have 2 layers of bricks around the bottom so it hasn’t blown away this year but we havnt had the gales we had that first year. Someone else on plot puts pallets all around in the winter standing upright. I don’t think we will buy another one once this one is done. We havnt grown anything in it in winter ass it all gets nibbled but tomatoes grow well and cucumbers and basil. But we grew toms and cu’s amazingly well outdoors last year so it’s not a must to have a poly. We have a small greenhouse for our seedlings in spring I think we would get another greenhouse next time not a poly. We can’t have a big poly as size of structures is restricted on plots. I am a little bit old school in that years ago my dad didn’t have all these mod cons and he was self sufficient in fruit and veg. So that’s how I try to be. 👍
Oh thats unfortunate! Yeah I don't think anything is a need, more a want with gardeners. Anyone can garden, they don't need all thr fancy gadgets. Just soil and seed 😊🌱
