@@angelacole4411 To me, he has a spot-on combination of professionalism and enthusiasm. He’s knowledgeable about the athletes and is very clear in his commentary, but he also recognizes the “hype” moments and brings the enthusiasm to those edge-of-your-seat instances. Across all the other English-speaking broadcasters, I think he’s the best. There’s a gentleman at the Torian that I’d put second; I don’t recall his name.
What the hell no Sean or Nikki this is ridiculous they do an amazing job calling the action and allowing people who arent games fanatics to understand whats going on
No idea what your situation is but I can at least relate to the last month being an absolute struggle, one thing after another, hold on friend, keep holding on.
Chase Ingram usually ignores the other commentators, or if they say something he won't respond or atleast remember to reply afterwards. This has been my experience from watching the games since 2017. It's awkward. Hopefully they find someone who has a bit more emotional intelligence.
I didn’t think the commentary could get any worse but they get rid of their single true professional commentator?!?! Better replace him with Bob Costas or something
I think that cuts are a loss. There are less athletes to "middle" other athletes in the scoring. It makes it very difficult to have movement in the rounds after the cuts. In addition, unless the initial workouts are very balanced, this will inevitably favor one type of athlete. Given that it is CrossFit, it will almost certainly be the larger heavier Athletes, but who am I kidding, they have already selected for the larger heavier athletes going into the games.
Do you have any advice for how to learn Olympic lifts without a coach? I want to be safe and not hurt myself but I don’t know how to do the lifts. Are your tutorials (yes I have watched almost all of them) good enough ? Or should I reconsider my budget and find a coach?
Check out Zack Telander’s tutorial videos, it’s a whole playlist and it’s great. I’d also go ahead and check out Dylan cooper as well, he has a manual for like $30 that has ALL the cues for Olympic lifts. It was so worth the buy. I’m self taught as well, just get obsessed with it, RUclips is your friend. Sonny webster’s technique breakdowns are amazing, Catalyst lifts have a bunch of tutorials as well. These are my main sources, and within the 8 months my snatch went from 50kg to 86kg and my C&J went from 70kg to 102kg. And I’m a long femur dude with a weak ass squat. Hope this helps! Definitely start with Zack telander, his tutorials start from scratch they’re awesome.
I'm poor at Oly lifting, so I'm not the example. I find it technically challenging, so having a coach would be highly beneficial. Absent that, there are tons of videos out there on youtube. A couple youtubers I enjoy are Zack Telander ruclips.net/user/results?search_query=zack+telander -- he has a CrossFit background and respects CrossFit but really dove into the Olympic lifting side. He has good instructional stuff in my opinion. His buddy was on the national team at some point but I think had an injury that prevented major success, but he seems technically sound and I think also has good videos. ruclips.net/user/results?search_query=dozer+weightlifting Finally, former Olympian Sonny Webster does some good stuff too. www.youtube.com/@sonnywebsterGB
based on the semi finals turnout Europe and the oceanic semi finals were massive! The sport doesn't seem to be growing in the states at the rate it still is in both Europe and Oceania so would be great to see it travel!
It’s gonna be a big problem, especially if there’s like long running events, they had issues several years ago with athletes passing out in the heat. I think that was in California then
No. 1 for sure for Painface of the week. No Sean Ingram is not good news, that guy IS the voice of the games........also I would be the first in line for Europen Crossfit tickets. Great to see a new vlog and to see you so happy......
I like the cuts, so long as they have a good mix of workouts prior to the first cut, and not a bunch of workouts that favor a particular type of athlete.
...exactly like the World Cup. I'd love to see The Games go to South America! It should definitely move around every few years. Also, Sean Woodland is THE VOICE of The Games. This is one of those decisions I cannot wrap my head around.
Hopefully Sean wasn’t replaced with Adrian Conway 😬. IMO Chase Ingram is the one that needs to go. Hopefully CF has hired the team from Torian Pro. Those guys do a phenomenal job and people love them.
I personally think cuts are not a great choice from a sport and competetive perspective. The modalities of the workouts are so different that you can very well manipulate who is getting cut just by how you arrange the workouts. I see how it is exciting from a spectator perspective but that should not be the main focus.
Pain face = 1 - JH all day long I like cuts too Dalin Pepper is a Boss - what a response!!!! SHOCKING NEWS - No Sean Woodland - Such a bummer!!!! Excited for CrossFit to come to Europe As UK Citizen of course
Nice work CF. I thought it would take another 5 years until CF as an event sport would die out, but if they keep up their current pace, they might get there even quicker. Jesus … who still wants to watch this mess??
It’s gotta be #1. Everyone else you could make the argument those are lifting faces,,,but no 1……..that man just found out his dog died, Grammy is in the hospital, and Santa’s not real all at the same time.
No Sean Woodland?! Awful move.
Why?
It's not The Games without him.
@@clevertenor but what is it about him that makes the games the games, to you?
Completely agree. I can’t even.

Nothing against the other commentators, but Sean Woodland is just the best. So many great CrossFit moments are literally memorable because of him.
Getting rid of Sean is one of the worst decisions they’ve ever made. Chase is…not Sean (trying to be as nice as I can here).
Sydney Wells in the demo team 😂😂😂 Guess Brooke will not know the workout..
Europe based CrossFit games is long overdue. Big thumbs up from me.
What the hell no Sean or Nikki this is ridiculous they do an amazing job calling the action and allowing people who arent games fanatics to understand whats going on
Going through a very difficult month emotionally. On the verge of depression. Your words closing the video mean a lot.
Do one little win a day! Even if it’s just a walk, trust me it’ll add up🫶🏻 sending the good vibes you got this legend
No idea what your situation is but I can at least relate to the last month being an absolute struggle, one thing after another, hold on friend, keep holding on.
Just remember waking up and getting out of bed is an accomplishment, so take the small victories my friends.
If you haven't, please please see a therapist and doctor. They can help.
Ditto the last comment above. Sometimes it’s not just a matter of will and a professional could be the difference between life and death
Chase Ingram usually ignores the other commentators, or if they say something he won't respond or atleast remember to reply afterwards. This has been my experience from watching the games since 2017. It's awkward. Hopefully they find someone who has a bit more emotional intelligence.
And even though he swam in college he is awful at commentating swimming.
He is just aweful.
#1 for Painface of the week.
Same - I felt that haha
Bummed about Sean Woodland not calling the Games. I'm guessing CBS is exercising more authority over their collaboration.
Crossfit games commentary IS Sean Woodland. Letting him go has been the worst move yet. Absolute joke.
OMG, if they use the effing yahoos that commentated the semi finals I won't be watching. They sucked so hard.
I didn’t think the commentary could get any worse but they get rid of their single true professional commentator?!?! Better replace him with Bob Costas or something
This is your jam! Doing the news! Thanks for the fun!
I can't imagine the games without the voice of sean woodland. Very, very bad news!
Sean Woodland is the voice of the games for me. What a drag 😠
Got my shirts 😊
The XS is a bit bigger than expected for my wife but we dig them.
I’m happy that Dave is doing individuals
Your words at the end helped me. Thank you. ❤
Glad to see you smiling bro. Keep at the powerlifting training
Hopefully they'll learn a thing or two from the Rogue Invitational in Scotland this year... 🧐
love the outro! thank you
On a walk while watching this 😆
Sean woodland is the David Croft of Crossfit. Bad move HQ.
Loved this video with the music all along 🎉😂
Hopper 🙌🏼 BEAST MODE
I did a triathlon in marine creek lake last year and it was brutally hot in October.

Preach, look a past years, people have moved massive on the board depending on the workouts... They really just make shit up as they go
Great video ❤
Jasons pain face is hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you
Cuts...yes. Agree, it will allow more events with less people making it easier for us to see the greats on streaming channels.
The issue on box steps was QF. Not semis!!! It was an issue because everyone had friends judging who don't no rep. Live comp will be wayyy different.
you guys rock!

I train in my home gym so I don’t have nearby lifters that can give me free advice. Just a note

I’m excited to have the games here in DFW I just hope these Athletes are ready for this Heat !! Aug in Texas is a different kind of Heat🔥🔥🔥🔥🥵💯
From OKC. LMAO they have no clue.....

Would be good to take games overseas but Torian Pro is the best semi finals out there. It need a to come to Australia
Nice
No. 1 for sure for Painface of the week. No Sean Ingram is not good news, that guy IS the voice of the games........also I would be the first in line for Europen Crossfit tickets. Great to see a new vlog and to see you so happy......
excellent idea to drop the games in Europe.
Thanks Craig for the outtro part, I needed to hear that today.
Jayson Hopper had the best pain face by far. #1
#2, definitely
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 PV be practicing those step ups
I can’t tell if the second eye is colored in!
Wut the freak. How and why would crossfit get rid of two of the faces of our sport 🤷🏾♂️
I like the cuts, so long as they have a good mix of workouts prior to the first cut, and not a bunch of workouts that favor a particular type of athlete.

#1 hopper is dramatic as ever 😂😂😂
Some events have a voice associated with them like the Tour de France And Crossfit is one with Shawn Woodland
One of the odd numbers, for sure!
Hopefully Sean wasn’t replaced with Adrian Conway 😬. IMO Chase Ingram is the one that needs to go.
Hopefully CF has hired the team from Torian Pro. Those guys do a phenomenal job and people love them.
The moving the box every 100 with a random twist is a good idea
February in a leap year. I'll use that :D
Quick calendar math
This is exactly why I have personally approved your CrossFit games media pass
Will you start doing CrossFit again?
Hello! I am new to the party!! Where Is the fridge?
The fridge is just in to the left, come take a cold beverage and enjoy
#1 Jason Hopper for sure :)
#1 definitely
Hopper for sure!
The chain rolls on
Not having Sean Woodland but keeping Horseface Ingraham just shows that HQ is intentionally trying to crash the plane.
#1 for sure
Hopper absolutely takes the cake #1 all day
Losing Sean and Nicki is a huge loss
#1 and 5 are tough to beat.

What a legend
Is there not going to be a documentary for the 2023 games???
Pain face = 1 - JH all day long
I like cuts too
Dalin Pepper is a Boss - what a response!!!!

Maybe CrossFit will have the opportunity to find new growth and momentum if the games move to Europe? It feels like it’s gotten a bit stagnant
Jayson Hopper. Looks like someone just took his soul. The part where you can’t see his eyes or teeth is kinda messed up too.
1 for sure
Number 1 Jason got that one
#1 Hopper
Never here this early
But you are today 🤌🏻
It’s gotta be #1. Everyone else you could make the argument those are lifting faces,,,but no 1……..that man just found out his dog died, Grammy is in the hospital, and Santa’s not real all at the same time.
Number 1
Don’t like cuts tbh because you can get workouts that suit you after the cuts
I hope they kept Chase Ingram at least, because I only enjoy the bike event when he compares it to a stage in the Tour de France.
Sean Woodland is going to be missed. Fack....
#5 with honourable mention to Hopper
