100% agree. Nothing wrong with acknowledging your roots but until it drops the military ties and starts acting like a world sport not a U.S sport, it will always have a ceiling. That’s no slant on the military or the US.
It’s not about military ties. It’s known that the military has some of the fittest people in the world, and we have to be well balanced in everything in order to perform, especially in some of the more ‘advanced’ occupations. We do most of the CrossFit calisthenic workouts weighted and/or added weight of some sort. It’s no knock on the military, they’re just taking it as a test to see how some of the more fit people outside the military fair with that added weight. Reminder as well, a good portion of the workouts CrossFit uses were created by military or are military workouts honoring fallen soldiers.

I really liked the idea of the games athlete interviews initially since I think getting to know the athletes really elevates the viewer experience, but when I realized I had to listen to Dave Castro acting all smug, coy and slightly condescending for all of them I just couldn't watch them anymore.
Get a legit fabric arts designer in here. Highlight the person's work. Find a designer that does CrossFit!! Have Julian Marquez do it!! Like, come on, these uniforms lately are boring AF.
