Great review Anthony. That really is a lot of car for the $$s. A great starter for a young family plus good MPGs as well. When you mentioned about spooling the engine up in some higher revs it made me think that I rarely do that and guess I should yes? 74 here now and was a really chilly 39 last night. It's super dry and I truly hope that no fires will start. We both are truly lucky to be having great weather in December! Great sleeping weather but ironically I did not sleep much last night and was up super early. Hopefully I will make up for it tonight. I did reply to your last message but the folks at YT saw fit to not show it lol. I really hope Isa is doing better and that he does not have covid. It's that time of year when all kinds of germs try to get up. Hope that your lighting project is going great! Hope all is well and happy Sunday Anthony
Thank you James. You are right it’s a great starter vehicle and for the dough it’s priced well. Yeah night time is awesome and even day time I can’t complain lol. I hope it rains for you guys the dry weather isn’t great with those wildfires. Isa is still under the weather but hopefully he will be good for school tomorrow. I told him he might have to take off and he said which team are you working with tomorrow 😂. He even asked if he could contact my teams and start reviewing lol. I told him take your time let them know you first. I’ll check on my laptop to see what is going on. YT is wired sometime. Have a great Sunday James
Nothing against this car, but if anyone wants to buy one, DON'T NEGLECT THAT WET TIMING BELT. Replace it at 60-80K miles and open the oil pan once a year to make sure the pickup tupe doesnt get blocked. Yes, it isnt the FORD disaster, but keep an eye on it.
And that's the problem. Most buyers of this vehicle won't do this type of maintenance. I think GM says 150,000 on the timing belt and there's good reason to believe that at around 90,000 people will start getting oil pressure warnings. Have to change the oil every 3-5000 miles in this vehicle. PERIOD.
Hawkeye, As a former Hertz driver of all types of vehicles you should do a vehicle like this on some mtn incline with a passenger. Getting out the way and passing is precarious in these vehicles. The non CVT is a plus on highways. Even some vacuum cleaner has multiple speeds. The rental car saying with these 3 cyck turbs is they are 80K and then done. Should be more reliable than a VW considering the limited serving folks do on the vehicles. Interesting proposition: Taos or Trax or Kona..
cheap production, cheap materials, cheap powertrain and a cheap price, perfect for customers where want a cheap SUV and they don´t care to have a car with good quality. Thanks 😀
Many people don't give 2 fucks about cheaper interior. Many higher priced vehicles have the same type of basic materials. You get what you pay for. It's an economy car. Set your expectations accordingly.
My girlfriend Father just ordered this exact model. He should get next week. Great review as always.

@@2040wagon thanks for the insight
The best subcompact suv on the market. Gr8 price and loaded with features. GM has been doing really good the last few years.
