Dave I have to disagree about the SOS button being faster for emergency help. You’re better off dialing 911 and getting the local PSAP directly vs hitting that button which connects you to an answering service who then transfers your call to the same PSAP you’d get if you had called 911 yourself in the first place. Just quicker to cut out the middle man. That being said, I will say there are some benefits to it. It is really cool. I had the Chevy but traded it for the Buick and found out the adaptive cruise control. Will literally come to a complete halt if traffic stops and then resume what you had cruise control sit on.
True, but it's not very good at recognizing stopped vehicles, so don't think it will keep you from running into the back of all vehicles. If you're coming up to a stop light, and you have adaptive cruise control engaged, there's a good chance it will not slow down automatically if a car is stopped in front of you.

Why does leasing seem to be a lot of the sales at Schumacher instead of financing? I live in the eastern part of Tennessee and the majority of new vehicles here are purchase instead of a lease. Is there a benefit one over the other? My wife and I have always financed and have never done a lease on a vehicle. My niece bought a 2024 Activ in Cayenne back in Jan and my nephew just got the 2025 2RS in Crimson. They are both in love with their Trax. Awesome cars. The only real update for the 2025 is it is FlexFuel - you can use E85. The 2024 is *not* E85 compatible.
@@charkswitlazers You mean the E85 capability? It's in the owners manual and I caught it in the Printbook sent to dealers and available online. The E85 is a poor value because mpg usually drops enough to make the fuel cost per mile higher. Sadly, 2025 ended many of the cool colors - the Orange, Bronze, Fountain Blue and the darker Blue Glow. For 2025, there is a dark gray with a greenish tint and Marina Blue - a reboot of the 1967 Chevrolet color of the same name, and it's a bright sky blue with a slight lean toward teal. It's good to look at the past once in a while to remind me why I spent $37,080 on a brand new 2024 Model Y Long Range, the last time that Tesla had $4,500 inventory discounts on them. I just took 2 round trips of between 2,800 and 2,900 miles each, Texas Gulf Coast - Wisconsin, the second one doing 650+ miles per day with just a single night in motels in each direction. Since it's "impossible" to drive long distances in an EV, I challenge ANYONE to drive 650 miles per day in a little internal combustion Trax.

WHAT A JOKE. Delivery day should never be "A Long Day".... NEVER. After the buyer/dealer have agreed on a price, typically the dealer needs a day to "get the vehicle ready". So on the next day, the buyer should walk in, inspect the vehicle (10-20 minutes), sign papers (5 minutes), drive off the LOT. WHY should this be a LONG process? Dealers need to adapt or die. Just go buy a Tesla or a Rivian. After ordering the vehicle online, the pickup/paperwork process is 30 minutes or less. Took over 2 hours at a Mazda dealership to sign the same papers. Unacceptable.
If the dealerships wouldn't mess around with trying to talk you into financing through them, selling you a extended warranties, gap insurance, car accessories. It wouldn't take 4 hours! maybe on a new car but on a used car oh you better get a extended warranty plan. saved my butt on a used car when the trans started leaking 2 years later. no warranty i would've paid $4k for leaking trans and $500 to fix a head gasket leak.
@@LCJammer I never buy extended warrants! My opinion there a rip-off!
Extended warranty seems like good protection until you try to use it!
Nothing's ever covered read the find print.
Don't waste your hard earned money!
If you want to give it away I'll take some!
@@DaveBsellsChevy it's not a scam until you try to use the extended warranty!
If you read the fine print there's always a way out of them fixing your car under the extended warranty,
The only one that makes out on these extended warranty, is the person or business selling it! RUN FORREST RUN!
Too bad these are only FWD .
Why? No paved roads near you?
What a piece of junk vehicle! Imagine lol
Who would want that junk? Jeep girl for life.
Careful, Karma may come after you. Chrysler (Stellantis) does not have the best record for reliability.
Jeep? Lol. Tried those. Bad gas mileage, noisy, sub par construction, ugly, bulky, plus we have paved roads where I live
This was the BEST explanation of all my stuff on my LT Trax thank you very much, because I'm old and electronic challenged 😂
And now I've got the plug in to stop my pain in the ass stop / start crap very simple to plug in
Trax is alot of car for your money and the 5/60k miles warranty is a plus and great.
Yes it is. I just purchased my 2025 Chevy Trax last week and love it. I added a roof rack and mudguards to give it a more sporty look.
I just purchased mine a month ago. I absolutely love everything about it. So Happy
@@qgirlcharlie9582how much you pay 💰 every month ?🙏
no AWD
I wasn’t told anything about my activ when I got it. Unfortunately the salesman didn’t really know anything about. So I wasn’t shown how to change my speed odometer screen. Plus I had to setup the app, link my phone, and setup my onstar my self. I’m honestly learning things I didn’t know about my car from this. Thank you so much for doing this one! It was helpful.
Which is what a sales representative is paid to do. The hidden secret is that is how you generate repeat business. Sadly, for everyone, the car buying process is not a pleasant experience which is what it should be.
Very enjoyable video. My favorite part of the deal is the delivery and learning all the new stuff the car can do. Thanks!
Wait really?? In USA models? How is this not advertised anywhere?
@@charkswitlazers You mean the E85 capability? It's in the owners manual and I caught it in the Printbook sent to dealers and available online. The E85 is a poor value because mpg usually drops enough to make the fuel cost per mile higher. Sadly, 2025 ended many of the cool colors - the Orange, Bronze, Fountain Blue and the darker Blue Glow. For 2025, there is a dark gray with a greenish tint and Marina Blue - a reboot of the 1967 Chevrolet color of the same name, and it's a bright sky blue with a slight lean toward teal. It's an awesome color in bright sunlight as long as you like blue.
@@0pelman funny because I literally bought a 2024 Trax 1rs today and I LOVE it. Got it for 21800 plus tax instead of the 23-24k they want for that trim. I'm happy.
@@charkswitlazers The 1RS is the sweet spot for heated seats and steering wheel, and nice wheels and seating surfaces with the low out the door price. They're dealing on these cars, so the value is the best on the market right now.
@@0pelman yeah the car market has cooled immensely since covid. So far I'm happy with it. Can't beat the price, especially on sale
I almost walked out of my purchase in Chicago with all extended warranty talks.
Just buy one from the bank ..the dealership is over priced.
Great walkthrough video of the Chevy Trax controls and features; and that Cactus Green is gorgeous.
Got to remember some people have no idea that's a thing
Very Informative Video, Thank You Dave, Me and my Fiancée bought 2 new 2025 2RS Trax 2 weeks ago, we both could not be Happier with these cars, they are truly Awesome...
Before you buy, watch this video. It is an eye opener for sure. Should you buy a Chevrolet Trax? By The Car Care Nut.
I watched that video. I was happy with AMDs comments. There were a few things he didn’t like but overall gave it good praise for what it is.
Yes he said its refined and smooth.@@0REDSOX7
Bought one after I watched his video.
When can we see 2025 equinox.
Honestly I already knew everything about the car. I watched every video I could find before we bought our LT. Good video. Thank you.
Dave great walk thru, thank you. I have a 2024 black LT trax, it is very good value for the price. Rich
We need more reviews on the new Colorado Dave B!
When you popped the gas tank and there's no gas cap do you see a problem with that
Been around for 15 years
Never knew about the overhead light, the buttons on the back of the steering wheel or the different gauges. Thank you! Got my trax active 2 days ago!
I know Dave B didn't just call a Chevy Trax a "truck"
Very informative, I have a 1997 nissen quest, the chevy trax looks good, but I would really have to learn all this new stuff, that's why at 73, I'm hanging on to my 1997, a lot of stuff u don't need I like back up mirror, but that's about all, omg!! It would take me a while to learn
That's my favorite color on the Chevy Trax. I love it. I want one, but here in Puerto Rico it costs 10,000 dollars more!😅
Ha! I Love my brand spanking new 2025 Fully Loaded sterling grey trax-activ
I agree Tesla figured it out... fastest buying process and 2nd most profitable per unit (second to Ferrari)
If the dealerships wouldn't mess around with trying to talk you into financing through them, selling you a extended warranties, gap insurance, car accessories. It wouldn't take 4 hours!
For the dealerships it all comes down to making as much money as possible off the car they're selling to you!
For the buyer, let's Just get down to business, sell me the car, wouldn't take 4 hours!
Years ago car buying experiences was a all day thing, that was due to technology.
Everything was done over the phone.
Financing, insurance, license plate registration!
After test-driving, buying should be no more than an hour!
