I have the 24 LS. I put vinyl carbon fiber film over the chevy badges and it's literally my favorite car that I have ever leased. It's so basic, but it has so much. It's an amazing commuter car as well.
So I just bought this car minus the sun roof and charging pad. Test drove all was well driving around the area of the dealership, went to take it home and the roads are bad in my town, it was loud and started feeling every pebble on the road…….regrets start setting in. Started thinking about over night and thought maybe the tires could be deflated a little to help with the ride quality and road noise. Next morning check the sticker in the door frame, front should be 35 psi, back 32 psi. Start the car check the tpms pressures and all we’re at 47 psi😮. I was like what hell man! Bled air from the tires down to spec and the ride and noise is a non issue! 😅
From what I've researched, they are all set at 40+ psi from the factory. I don't recall the specific reasons, but it could be related to general pre sale testing. It's an easy thing for the dealers to miss.
2024 activ same problem, my tires all had 47 PSI, something to do with shipping, avoid flat spots on the tires. This should have been done at the dealership when they do their PDI.
The big changes were last year for 2024. So most of the changes came then and carried over for this year. This one is a 2025 though. For the cladding I meant the calendar year not model year. Sorry for the confusion.
I would only be interested in the base car...I would love to see a review of the base economy model. But of course, these models are probably impossible to find, and the manufacturer would never make them available for review.
Yeah, I wish there were more base models available. I've had a couple of cars that were either base or close to it, including the Equinox EV, which is always a pleasant surprise. On the other hand though, it's easier to take the loaded out one and say that certain features are or aren't worth the money than it is to take a base and just guess at whether or not the features might be worth it.
You should be able to just hit the lock then hold down the start button for a few seconds. If that's not working, maybe something is up with the fob. Hopefully the dealer should be able to help if there is an issue with it.
Try hitting the lock button twice, wait a few seconds and then hold down the start button. It took me a little while to figure that out with my 2016 trax, but it works fine doing it that way. Now if I could just remember to turn on the heat or the cold (depending on the time of the year...) 🙄😉😂😂
That's just not the target. More performance would add too much cost and complexity, and despite how the engine looks on paper, it's more than fine for daily driving. I know what you mean, and I'd love to see more performance out of most cars ha, but it's just not the target here.
You should be able to find cushions that fit it on Amazon. Would definitely be nice if it had one from factory, but there are some solutions out there. Hopefully the rest of the car is working out!
Should be easy to find leather covered padding online. I've gotten armrest padding for exact model fit for several cars so they should be out there and not expensive at all. Wish I could remember the manufacturer for you, but it's been several years, and I'm getting old 😊
Well, one of the biggest selling points for the car is the price. Plus, if I don't qualify my statements with "for the price point" then people will come after me for whatever the statement was ha. It feels like lose lose.
This one was the Jet Black w/Artemis trim, which has the muted vents, but you can get the Activ trim with Jet Black w/Yellow trim, which gets you the yellow through the vents.
Oof, sorry to hear that! You might be able to replace the vents. I know you can get colored cover/circle pieces in the aftermarket. Congrats on the car though! Hope it's treating you well!
Why though? That would add weight, reduce fuel efficiency, add cost, and they already have a Trailblazer with awd. I think it'd be fine with a good set of tires.
I typically wouldn’t even consider this vehicle, but then I heard the price. All of a sudden it got my attention.
Yeah, there's not much of anything you can get for this price nowadays. Definitely a major part of the appeal.

Congrats! That's awesome to hear!
got a 1RS and love it
I've had my 24 2RS for a year and over 20k miles. I love it!
Congrats!
Great review! Im seriously considering upgrading from my '16 to a new trax. 👍
Thanks! Good luck with the search/purchase!
Got an LT...love it
I just got a LT on Friday. ❤️
Great review! Think this is the car I'm going to with for a new lease.
Thanks! And nice! It definitely checks a lot of boxes for a solid price! Enjoy when you get it!
I have a 2rs and i love it
Awesome! Glad you're loving it!
I wish the wireless charger was standard but my 25 activ doesn’t have it. I do love this car for the most part
Wireless charges are overrated. They are slow to charge and there always seem to be other items on the charging pad besides a phone.

Phew! Glad it worked out! Man, that's pretty bad on the dealer's part. How is that not part of a checklist?!

@slayeddreamer3820 I guess I'll be chewing on my own words 😅 interesting...🤔
You keep saying 2024, but the video says 2025...

The elephant in the room at the 17:00 minute mark.
Surprised it took this long for someone to point that out! The timing worked out great on filming ha. I kept playing leapfrog with that guy.
Got 25 Lt cannot get remote start to work I have to use Chevy app for remote start

@@GearboxCarReviews possibility. But I hope not literally got vehicle yesterday
@@BleedCubbieBlue77hopefully you can get it working 🤞

Extremely attractive profile... Now put an engine in it! Why make such a beautiful car so underwhelming in the performance area?

Why is there no color in the vents if this is the activ?? The less trim has blue yellow red....can someone answer

@GearboxCarReviews thanks. I had mine delivered and didn't know. I'm like where's my color. Ah well

It's tourqe that lights up your tires. Not horsepower.
True. What did I say "low-power" in the video? My mistake. Good catch!
I rather buy a 2022 Mini Cooper
I would too, but that's a totally different category.
Needs awd
Why though? That would add weight, reduce fuel efficiency, add cost, and they already have a Trailblazer with awd. I think it'd be fine with a good set of tires.
Um, no. Front Wheel Drive is adequate for most winters and it's less money to buy, operate and especially service.
F this foreign job killing crossover
I don’t like this car. Looks cheap.
To be fair, it's one of the cheapest cars on the market. I still think it looks better than the price would dictate though.
