The cops should have explained to the sergeant from that jurisdiction, the laws that they broke and let her decide what to do about it. They told her their dumb stories instead of explaining what laws they broke instead of explaining what they are trained to do. Funny how they can easily find the laws when they either lay want to arrest someone

You have an immigrant her legally for 14 years, gainfully employed as a truck driver. Having driven from Texas up to Ohio for his company in his company's truck, he moteling it for the weekend, till Monday. The truck is locked up at the company, and he decides to walk over, buy a beer, and relax in front of the tube at the local watering hole. When are federal heroes being thoroughly smashed decided it was time to bring the weight of the federal justice system against our obvious criminal mastermind disguised as a 40 year old truck driver from Ethiopia with fair English skills and a heavy accent! Leaping to a final outcome. Obviously, qualified immunity should be out the windows. It was a given that the locals didn't want to do anything but make this fiasco go away. Asking our victim what kind of outcome he was looking for was nothing but a way to subvert the law and protect the blue line. What should happen is these clowns should be terminated from their federal positions, lose their certifications, and serve a couple years in federal prison for assault, kidnapping, and violation of numerous constitutional amendments, and forfeit their pensions to their victim. What will happen, smoke and mirrors!
I also wish I could personally apologize to this man for the way he was treated by *everyone,* including every single officer that responded to the call. *"Sit down! I didn't say you could stand up!"* This is the 3rd time I've watched this footage, and I get madder every time. I hadn't planned on watching this again, but I really respect how this channel is pretty damn unbiased, reads the actual law based on each case and its own jurisdiction. Most channels that do this are extremely biased, whether it's pro-cop or anti-cop, and it gets spun and edited to fit their narrative. It's shocking, to me, to see just how many people are incapable of seeing gray, that everything, in their view, is only black or white. "All cops are evil." "Every single courthouse in America is corrupted, along with all the judges, prosecutors, and defense attorneys." "The American justice system is the worst in the whole world." "All white people are bad." "All Black people are bad." "All Jews should be killed." "All people from the Middle East are terrorists." "All gay people are pedophiles." etc., etc., you get my drift. How are these types of people able to navigate their lives on a daily basis thinking in such extremes?! Anyway, like I said, I wish I could give this guy a hug and apologize for everyone involved that night. None of them, even by the end, seem ashamed or embarrassed in the least.

I once had a long-distance American friend. I think his name was Matt. We were good friends. As far as online friends go. Met in an online game. But after seeing many videos like this one, as well as corrupt and tyrant cops, I actually fear for my life and don't ever want to go there anymore. Does qualified immunity apply when you’re drunk and blatantly racist? Imagine how many lives these two corrupt officers have ruined. They should’ve been arrested and charged.
@drewizkoollikeicecre qualified immunity is for regular cops. Scotus has decided cases that essentially give federal agents absolute immunity, and basically made it impossible for people like this guy to sue the federal government for violating his rights.
Not to mention they wanted him to show them his truck, after essentially robbing him. Ofcourse he is gonna say he doesnt know where it is and not show them. No sane person would show delinquents to an expensive truck, since they might even take his keys and possibly drive off with it. smh
All the cops were so confused, especially the two that said “does that sound sane to you”😂😂everytime they explained “we were talking with him and then he showed us his ID and he’s not from this country” I kept thinking “that’s it?”.
Dude, they just did. In case your "they" is only referring to feds, not cops: They (ie. DEA and ATF) are not supposed to, that's why the FBI is looking into this.
That truck driver is incredible. The one cop was unprofessional to the victim when he told him to sit down in a rude manner. The VICTIM of a crime should never be treated this way.
You need to understand that everybody is a criminal in the eyes of police. In your mind the truckdriver is a victim. In the mind of that cop he was a criminal. Pretty normal for a cop to treat " criminal " like dirt. It's very common. Not saying it is right though.

Literally an abduction, I cant imagine how terrified that poor guy must have been.

The way they talk to the cops is completely different to the guy, is disgusting. The guy was minding his own life and was attacked only to be mistreated by the cops. USA, you have problems..
What country doesn't?
You missed the empathy. They did agree with him and recognize he travels so much
They heard all the evidence and tried to sweep it under the carpet.
@@jphanks What empathy? Can provide a timestamp please?
The only "empathy" I observed was the standard practice from the police investigation handbook. Manufactured empathy in order to get the suspect to speak more with the officers.
As the commenter above you stated it could appear as though at least one of the uniformed officers tried to reduce the likelihood that the civilian would bring civil and criminal charges against the intoxicated officers. It's possible that the repeated question of what outcome the civilian wanted was an attempt to push for charges against the off duty officers. However, if that were true a more effective strategy would be to explain the potential charges that could be brought against the intoxicated officers.
@@john2g1 "if that were true a more effective strategy would be to explain the potential charges that could be brought against the intoxicated officers."
I'm pretty sure that's exactly what happened.
@24:24, she says, "Alright let's talk to him and..."
Then there's a pretty substantial cut in the footage.
Then she asks "so... *you're sure* about possible charges against them?
Then he emphatically declines because he "want's to be nice with people". That's what he thinks.
Honestly, she seemed to me to be very angry with those two. I think she really wanted to arrest them on the spot.
“I had him in a leg lock”
“There was nothing physical”
That doesn’t add up.
It adds up perfectly when you realize he meant that the guy did nothing to him physically to warrant being out in a leg lock. Dude told on himself without trying.
But he wrestled since he was 6 years old.......

Oh, so the other guys can stand up drunk as hell and tell fucking lies on the man. So then when they go talk to the other guy, he wants to talk to him rudely town around face him, but sit back down like he can’t stand up.

The ATF guy doesn't know that Eritrea is a country, so he keeps saying the victim is from Israel.
It's always funny when racist americans attack some foreigners, when they sounds like the english is a new thing for them. Off course imigrant from a country where people not speak english been having a accent or even been not speak english (it's not like we born with this thing).
But if youre american and you can't talk - well...
As a US citizen, I simultaneously laugh and cringe when some id10t from the US complains about an immigrant's use of English (which is _AT LEAST_ the immigrant's second language) while absolutely butchering the language themselves. Not to mention the hillbilly complaining absolutely doesn't speak/understand any language but English. I always think, "Maybe calm down the criticism / mockery of the person who speaks their second (or third...or fourth) language no worse than you're speaking your ONLY language."
