She said yes “ I have a 9 mm in the glove box.” Officer said “ Is that all the weapons you have ? Any drug or weapons in the vehicle? Do your own fucking due diligence. When I get stopped which isn’t often. I hand the officer my license. My insurance card. And my concealed carry card. First thing they ask any weapons in the vehicle? I don’t have to tell you. If there is there is. None of their business. Go f*ck off.

The DA needs to be disbarred. He admitted she was wrong and had no grounds but would prosecute anyway? Entirely corrupt.

    "The license plate is obstructed"
*Casually walks behind car and writes down the plate number*
Still can't believe the DA was willing to run charges with no legal standing

And could have went to the front of the vehicle and get an even better look at that liscense plate

@@DaveBigDawg not everywhere has front plates. But it’s a standard bike racks. She’s probably mad because her computer couldn’t read it.

@madtabby66 well this was in Texas and they do have front liscense.
It was in response to her walking behind the vehicle to get the plate number
Not about liscense plate reader but ease of excess to visually see said liscense plate

It’s pretty fucked that the DA was willing to file the charges even tho he literally said there was no law broken and her search was unconstitutional….🙄

He didn't really say there were no laws broken or that the search was illegal. He said that they have significant challenges that would have to be overcome for the case to win. There are circumstances similar to this where the police could be in the right, that's clearly not the circumstances here but that's pretty difficult for the DA to tell when he isn't there. He's telling her that there is a very high bar you have to clear for this case to work. He's also sweet talking the officer a bit, telling her that this very likely to be untenable and if that is the case it will look bad in court. My guess is that if the officer did submit this the DA would end up dropping the case at some point along.

Why aren't cops required to knlw the laws they are allegedly paid to enforce? This cop shoukd be fired for not knowing the law. She clearly demonstrated she can't do the job without violating citizens rights
