Is the coming up long video going to introduce every step of starting a 737? Thanks, I'm a student pilot looking for the most accurate "cold & dark start video" on RUclips to practice on my PMDG. :D
Really nice video.. Suggestion: maybe you could try to film the whole dash instead of doing all close-ups? I think the flight simulator fans would all appreciate that!
If restart is safe then yes mostly similar you can see the checklist here www.737ng.co.uk/737-800%20Quick%20Reference%20Handbook%20(QRH).pdf page 105 section 7.13
Pretty much, we use bleed air from the APU (sort of a small jet engine) to get the engine rotating, once it reaches a certain rotation speed (25% N2), we inject fuel by lifting the lever you see around 0:10
Ducts in the airplane running form the APU to the engines, air can also provided by ground generators. However the ducts are heavy and wasting limited heard room, one of the many reason why 787 Dreamliner got rid of bleed air system, 787s use motors instead.
Because this doesn't show a full startup procedure and puts a few different clips together. This video is a little better as they don't cut it all out, but the camera man doesn't know where to look. ruclips.net/video/IGM8EAkolts/видео.html
I am not sure about the 737 system, but on the A320, Engine #2 was started first because the Parking Brake is pressured by the Yellow Hydraulic System, itself powered by Engine #2. Thus, after push-back, if the ground staff asks you to put the parking brake on, you do not use the accumulator. It's been a few years since I've flown one though, so SOP's may have changed.
All new video coming up this wednesday in the evening! Make sure you are subscribed to my channel.
I'm a bit worried about engine view camera, tell me it's ok and still operating.
For the purpose of this video, the engine was turned by hand at a slow speed, the footage was then sped up with an editing software.
Well, this is exactly what I thought. Just kidding.
I think if he legit put GoPro on engine....I will more worry about engine explosion or damage not camera.....
Live from the Flight Deck Well that’s good!
Awesome preview. Can't wait for the full video! :)
Nicely done! Can't wait for the full video!
Looking forward :D
Huge congrats on 100.787 Subs :) Keep up the great work!

exellent, congratulations!!!
His editing skill is getting better

can´t wait!!!!
I cant wait anymore :D
I've always tried to figure out, what's EXCATLY that constant ticking sound in 737? Avionics fans?
A small thing clicking in the standby altimiter instrument so it won't get stuck.
I think it's a gyro
More Please! Thanks
Sounds awesome! Can't wait! Any idea when? :D
Monsieur! Please do longer video and more! Gracias!
Nice!!!
When you start the Engine, you put the central switch on both, Eng. 1or 2 ?
It's been so long since that last video!
How did you became a pilot? Like through what program? (University, cadets, etc.)
awesome
Vers cool Video
Can you make video on how to start engine
Will you upload another Live from the Flight Deck for 25th december? i'am so hyped if i think it.
thanks for reply :)
so cool
Your the best make more video
Really nice video..
Suggestion: maybe you could try to film the whole dash instead of doing all close-ups? I think the flight simulator fans would all appreciate that!
Cool!
when u uploading the full one?
I got a lot of anxiety when the GoPro was right next to the fan blades 😁
Is it a similar process to restart the engine during flight, if it failed for example? Looking forward to the full video.
If restart is safe then yes mostly similar you can see the checklist here www.737ng.co.uk/737-800%20Quick%20Reference%20Handbook%20(QRH).pdf page 105 section 7.13

Hello :) At what airline you work?
nice camera quality
Good
Did the gopro get sucked into the engine or what? :O
how did you attach a camera right in front of the fan? 😮
Magic.
GOOD:)
+41 outside?!? Toasty day!
Great video! So the engine is turned on, and then at some point fuel is injected into it?
Pretty much, we use bleed air from the APU (sort of a small jet engine) to get the engine rotating, once it reaches a certain rotation speed (25% N2), we inject fuel by lifting the lever you see around 0:10
Gotcha. How does the bleed air get from the APU to the engines?
Ducts in the airplane running form the APU to the engines, air can also provided by ground generators. However the ducts are heavy and wasting limited heard room, one of the many reason why 787 Dreamliner got rid of bleed air system, 787s use motors instead.
AaronShenghao OK, thanks! Yeah, I heard about the 787 getting rid of them!
TAT= 41c (106-f) warm!
Why start 1 first I thought in a 737 its 2 then 1 25% then fuel dump?
Awesome vid what airline do you fly with?
VeteranGamerHD He flies Airfrance
Edit: I stand corrected, as pointed out he flied Ryanair!
Bakeey hahaha no, Ryanair
The videos he once had were shot with mostly in Canada if I remember correctly.
rkan2 no, he said he works for an european airline. And in one of his older videos you can see an engine in the Ryanair livery.
Ryan Tyler Woops... I confused this with 737Channel.. That one had awesome videos.
Give me a valid reason to dislike. Ive been thinking for five minutes and I can't think out one reason.
jealousy ?
Airbus fans
Idk, the go pro next to the engine?
Because this doesn't show a full startup procedure and puts a few different clips together. This video is a little better as they don't cut it all out, but the camera man doesn't know where to look. ruclips.net/video/IGM8EAkolts/видео.html
Oscar Salomonsson airbus
La cabina de control
Love video like this please upload you flicking that button....
so what is the sequence of the engine start, first 1 then 2 or the opposite? and Why?
I've always been doing it first 2 then 1 in FSX
Typically 2 then 1. As you can see in this video, Eng 2 is already started.
Because of the hydraulic system or SOP
thank you very much, appreciate it !

No video yet, in gonna die of you dont do the full video of the Flight Deck,
Where is the long video? 3 month pasted.
18 dislikes by the airbus pilots :D
2 months and still no video. wtf?
hell lot of switches...how to remember all these....
Sreehari Satheesh they're labeled and if you fly in a 737 then you kind of memorize the layout
And the go pro is eat by the engine....
VİDEO OR RİOT!!
I made a recreation of this video on my channel. Feel free to check it out!
That's it ? 😡
awesome
