There may be some moments missing from here , like the ending, which I haven't actually seen, but I still hope you can enjoy the video.
This was a project for uni and my first time editing a video and I hope you all enjoy it.

I found it so eerie yet so peaceful to see three of the Golden Girls die a year apart from each other. It was almost like they couldn't wait any longer. Now they're waiting for Betty to join them for cheesecake in the sky.

The Golden Girls was a pretty ground breaking show. They covered many topics women face everyday, but they also covered many issues people face everyday. The show was and still is awesome.

They should make a special with Betty. Rose knocking on the door. " Hello.. I used to live here. And..well..I miss my friends. Can I sit on the lanai for a while?" " the what? Oh the patio" " not as pretty though. Isn't it?" She walks there and sits down at a table with a box. "Well, it's the day again girls. I moved in today. And got so much more than roommates. You know life isn't how we always thought? I remember back in saint olaf.. oh you should see it now. All expanded and big. Just last week we the department for dairy got a new building. Very extravagant. Shaped like a giant set of udders.. I know. Get to the point Rose. Well, i visited all of you, we all try to so you all can have fresh flowers. It's just not the same. So I brought us a treat. Cheesecake, chocolate sauce and whipped cream. " the owner of the house comes outside but rose already left. With a cut cheesecake and three slices untouched on the table.
Nah, she's not in her best health these days. Her body is slowly giving out.
I'd rather she go painlessly than suffering.
I’m watching these clips after hearing her death today, and honestly that fact she just missed making 100 breaks my heart-enjoy your cheesecake together again all of you ❤️

I think when Betty White passes away I'm gonna cry a little. She and the other ladies had such a great relationship. And when she passes away she's gonna be with the rest of the Golden girls, then they'll all be happy again. They were close enough to be sisters in real life. They're all waiting for her to reach those pearly gates. ❤️

In about another week and a half this past January 17th, she would of turned 100.
Every time I watch Blanche at the cemetery saying, “I’m nobody’s little girl anymore,” I just can’t take it.
Watching this after Betty passed 3 weeks before her 100th birthday. I know it’s over I know they’re gone. But not for those who love Bea, Rue, Estelle and now Betty. For us they’ll always be here. I’m in my 20s and it’s 2022 and I love these ladies. Rest In Peace Betty. Enjoy your cheesecake in the sky

In case you don't know, 3 TV channels....The Hallmark channel, *and* CMT run several back-to-back episodes of the show everyday. I'm not sure where _you_ live (I live in Ohio), but it comes on the Hallmark channel at 7 a.m. and runs until 10 a.m. Then on CMT, it comes on at 11 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m. LOGO also carries the show but when _they_ run it, it's a marathon. The other day, it was on for 13 hours straight. (26 episodes, back to back). I just wanted to let ya know, in case you didn't already know. 😀🌼

i always had this feeling that Bea Arthur left the show for some reason that no one but her could sense what was to come, and not let us have to deal with their deaths, while still in production or on the set, which would have been more difficult to deal with...
It's sad that all the main cast except Betty is gone. Herb Edelman died in 1996 shortly after the show went off the air, Estelle in 2008, Bea in 2009 and Rue in 2010. It's crazy that Betty is still here with that in mind. She was the oldest of the entire cast and the last surviving member.
I loved this. This show had the best writing. I miss them together.

I just can't imagine Betty White's pain and grief. She spent so much time with the other three women, and they truly became family. She laughed and cried with them, accomplished so much with them, became so close with them. I can't imagine being a part of a group like she was and then living through everyone else in the group dying, and a year apart from each other at that. She is so strong.
What a sad way to end the year - can't believe Betty has gone so close to her 100th birthday - so so sad xx
Betty had a long fulfilling life, with lots of curveballs thrown her way. She got to see a world before sliced bread, be on tv when it was first getting into colour. Meet the other three cheesecake goddesses and sing to Morgan freeman when he got his afi award, she may have only died day before her birthday, but we shall forever remember her, and what she did and stood for.
There's another scene where Blanche breaks down realising she should have gone to see her father before he died. That will always be the most emotional one for me. Rue really showed such feeling in that scene it still moves me everytime. This was a lovely compilation. Thank you.
+Chris Jones Yes I remember that part. I decided I should make a choice between that moment or the one when Blanche says "I'm nobody's little girl anymore". When editing the choice I made seemed to flow better with the rest of the video.

You know what dude... I'm kind of at that point right now. I loved my dad. Didn't like him much of the time but, you know life. Anyhow, 1998 we had a bust up and that was the last time I saw him, on seriously bad terms. At the start of Covid I got in touch with a family member only to find he'd gone the year before.
My unkle said they had tried to get in touch but, obviously, it seems to me, no so hard. Many times I thought about it, then put it off to another day. I listened to Mike and the Mechanics - Living Years... It seemed fitting. I will go and visit him again one day, that's for certain.

God this show dealt with so many topics that even shows today are afraid to touch. AIDS, aging, suicide, homelessness, and all dealt with the compassion and tact of the girls themselves
It was like a sesame street for adults. I dont know if those topics which were so taboo and still are would be issues that are talked about without such a timeless show

When the video started I shed tears,but when Betty said “what happens when theirs only one of us left?” and when it show their deaths and when Betty said “I’m the Survivor,take care of them god” I burst into a waterfall of tears. It kinda amazing and cute,how they all died a year after each other. When Betty White passes away I’m gonna have a fucking emotional breakdown mowing the last survivor of the Golden girls is gone. I grew up with all four of the golden girls I started the golden girls since I was 5 and I’m 16 now,
“I know it’s over! I know they’re gone, but in my mind they’re still here!” Jesus Christ that hit hard. My grandma loved Golden Girls, she’s 89 and not in the best of shape and it worries me everyday. 💔

I didn't think this show was going to be a hit when it first came. My cousin loved it and Sophia was his favorite. He would laugh so much at her. Now I love watching it on RUclips. I have to watch at least 2-3 episodes a night

A wonderful tribute to four women who lifted people out of dark times with humor, wisdom, and life lessons that can better help everyone. This show was ahead of its own time and was highly progressive in terms of teachings.

It is bone-chilling how Estelle, Bea, and Rue died consecutively in 2008-2010. I keep checking the news weekly to make sure Betty is still around. Amazing how Betty will be turning 100 in January 2022.
This show had some of the most amazing writing, it perfectly balanced those comedic moments with the slice of life moments that broke your heart or gave it a lift. The heartfelt acting was amazing and I don't feel a single sitcom since has come even close to its grandeur.
The one that gets me is the "What happens when there's only one of us left" line. I believe that line in stark contrast... That Betty is making the girls proud.
Finally the girls are all back together again ❤️😢💜
Just started watchin golden girls, to think that most of them are now dead just really gets you and makes you think that that just it. Time passes and everything will too at some point.

There will never be another show like Golden Girls. This show was way ahead of its time and addressed controversial issues in a much more acceptable and respectable manner. I remember my mother watching it when I was growing up. Some of my fondest memories are laughing hysterically. Now, I watch it all the time with my own sons.
I was not prepared to sob like this this early in the day 😭😭😭 this show had so many poignant moments.

Rue, Bea, Estelle and Betty was the very reason this show is beautiful in many ways. If Betty passes on, I do hope they wouldn’t do any reboot of this sitcom because it would not do the Girls any justice.

I don't have her listed as dying on her birthday in the video. It says 1922, not 2022. She was the only one with one date listed as she was the only one alive at the time I made the video

This was a great video! I have tears in my eye.
This one scene that made me upset was when this lady asked Sophia if there were any flowers for her and Sophia said the answer is always no. So the lady got upset and it made me upset but then Sophia tricked her and said all those flowers were her's and she had to take all the flowers and cart and Sophia would keep the lady's walker so it looked like she delivered all the flowers! Oh Sophia!
