This is the thing bro... I bought one two hours ago (was the last one, lucky me) ... Tested on Periscope, streaming with my mixer, and I'm crazy... Perfect and clear sound...

@@BennyVibes yes I did! It works great for what my church needs and thankfully we've started hybrid services and those online get clean audio directly from our sound board.
I entered the live stream world with my band using a Mevo Camera this past weekend. We were using an H4n Zoom as a DAW and an iPad. Too many digital handshakes, the Zoom wasn't cooperating and we were on a deadline of 2 PM start. At 1:55 I gasped out "If I only had an iRig". Turns out the bass player had a very early version, but it worked straight away, but was only one channel. It save our butts, cause we had over 4,000 people tuning in on just Facebook Live, over 100 shares, and we got digital tips for the band that was off the charts. It was a huge success and my eyes were open to the potential of live streaming. I've become a streaming disciple. When I got home I looked up an iRig2, but remembered seeing some of our viewers comments letting us know only mono was being streamed. I noticed there was this iRig Stream that ran in stereo and was designed for live streams. It arrives tomorrow. This video review has me extremely excited. This device solves so many problems, simplifies things and makes the live stream audio sound kick ass.

@@DjSuess hello- Yes, you’ll need to use some platform to stream… Twitch, Facebook live etc. to get the audio and video going out into the interw3bs. I haven’t been doing a lot of performance recently, but I wouldn’t recommend to check to levels of each instrument (if your having a band play) with the head phone jack on the Irig or your mixer. I'm not sure as I've not done that. When I made this video it all worked really easily. Over time Apple has messed with the OS and it works less fluidly - you have to actually go into record before it starts working and so maybe that is what's tripping you up. Maybe raise the issue with IK or try different ways of doing it to see if a certain combination works better. It may be that it needs to be powered in order to maintain the connection when something changes. Difficult to know at the moment. I do hope to look into at some point.

Awesome. This is the way a proper review and tutorial should be done. Just enough talking and demonstrating that it doesn't bore people away. You actually create a bit of suspense (building up to a crescendo). Of course, it doesn't hurt to be a teeny bit quirky (in a cool-cat quirky kind of way - of course). Cheers mate...., from the US-of-A.
BTW - When using a smartphone device (Android/tablets or iPhone/iPads). I believe the reason why you can't play music through the device and start a stream (with audio) at the same time is because these devices aren't setup to internally play two separate audio/video media sources at the same time. For example, you can't play a RUclips video, then simultaneously make or receive a call without the RUclips video stopping. The RUclips app will either pause and minimize to the background or close itself altogether. But you can make or receive a call, and then open up a "non-media" app (like your contacts, weather, browser, etc.) Only navigation apps (like Google Maps) can talk over your phone call simultaneously. But the technical reasons is because the map app is most likely using a Text-to-Speech engine - which has been allowed to generate sound simultaneously by the OS.....
I bought this and it took my videos to the next level! (audio wise). For $100 this does a great job! I was impressed. Great investment, great audio quality.
I use it to upload my music videos to RUclips. I connect my mixer to the IRig from the masters left and right using 1/4” left and right cables to rca left and right to the IRig. Dont know if that helps you

Thanks for sharing and this the best, thorough review I‘ve ever heard. I‘ve bought an Irig stream just some days ago and trying to figure out how I could go live using this gadget, am gonna follow what you exactly said. Thanks much, done clicking the bell!
Yippee!!!! I found a way to do my upcoming virtual gigs in February 2021!!! I did 2 in December 2020 just using the external mic on the laptop and praying to God would bless the final output over the airwaves!! When testing through Facebook Live; my music didn't slow down as you mentioned here. Not sure why. I did notice I was out of sync. I kept thinking why isn't there a direct box concept that can do this correctly with quality sound and visually correct? From the mixing board out to the laptop "record" in; merging and syncing with the video! I wish I had invented it!!! Your review was on the one! Not too "know it all" or offensive to a beginner/dummy (lol) like myself. Thanks again!!! Lady Sax®
Any power supply adapter will work? I just ordered the IRig stream AND the iPhone adapter like you have. So glad I just saw that it won't work. But which power adapter will work with it? Thanks
Thanks man for this awesome made review. Your comments were so detailed and the quality of the video and the tone is great as well! Definately where I wanna go too ;) I'll buy the iRig Stream, thanks a lot! Best Wishes
Thanks for clear review :) I use Tik Tok and was confused why I only had audio when I went live or recorded. I think the only bit you missed out was the mono on/off switch part of the Irig stream.
Awesome guide and review which I just needed to buy this device, I bought their MTM active speakers this week, first arrived and second on the way, most expensive speakers I ever had but damn it was worth it... I can highly recommend them in case anyone wonders but there are enough reviews and ALL are very positive!

thank you for this video.. I've been trying to figure out what to do to enhance my livestreams and have gone down the rabbit hole of interfaces, cameras, etc... this is the exact information I've been trying to find for what I am doing. Just got the LIve Stream & Mic
I find the input audio level from a bose t4s mixer needs the irig volume control maxed out to get a decent level and green light. Could do with slightly stronger preamp in the irig.
dude...Dude...DUDE! You were up-straight fantastic, succinct, super eloquent, and full-on entertaining. I love the hair and shirt, by-the-way. I learned so many tidbits of never-knew-before (aside from the iRig nodules). Thank you. One particular stand-out for me was your mention of Facebook live and the megahertz modulation issues. Does that work for videos as well and does it also apply to other streaming services like Zoom?
Thanks! You'll have to try it and see. Most computers use 48kHz by default so it#s only a problem if you are using a different sample rate in your audio software. With all these things just try it and see.
I Ordered One And Won't Get It Until May But I Have A Question, When Streaming On A Laptop, Do You Need To Use OBS Still Or Just Plug In And Go Live With Perfect Audio?
It just provides the audio engine so whatever you use to stream with you still use - it's just that the inbuilt mic has been replaced with the iRig Stream.
Hello, I acquired this equipment to broadcast live on facebook or instragram, connecting it to my interface with logic pro x, and to my galaxy s9. I can perfectly record a video with audio quality, but at the time of transmitting on facebook the audio is damaged, do you know why for this? I have seen many videos about this product, and the truth is that I only see advertisements but not tutorials on how to make the connection in the interface and make the live transmission, in the video you see that it is very easy ... but when transmitting the audio is damaged, it sounds horrible, I don't know why.
What does “damaged” mean? If it’s distorted then your levels are too high. Also check the sample rate you’re using. Try a different phone or stream direct from your laptop. I’ve been using it fine as are many others so you have to look at what you’re doing for the answer.
I had this same issue when i was trying to do a Facebook live from my Galaxy note 9. What you have to do is start the live first then afterwards plug in the Irig.
48kHz is standard bit rate for synchronising audio with video while 44.1kHz is a standard bit rate for CD quality. The fact that Facebook only does 44.1kHz is actually a limitation with the Facebook live streaming platform, not an issue with the iRig. The fact that the iRig defaults to 48kHz is correct because that is the standard.
You need software to do that like OBS or VMIX or expensive hardware mixing solutions. The software then streams to Facebook or RUclips etc. You could use the iRig in that setup but you'd probably use a better audio interface that also mixes into the same software. This is really for quick, easy, phone shooting.
@@MoltenMusicTech well with Focusrite { rca from irig going to headphone jack in Focusrite/ chord from irig going to my Android phone and my mic is already connected to Focusrite) In trying to perform my track with my backup instrumental while singing live but I want my mic to have the effects ) 2nd option connecting to my amp mix ( rca from monitor out on my amp mix going to line output L focusrite but mic is plugged in amp mix instead of focusrite ) and with both of this I'm opening irig app and in settings it doesnt let me change channel
Sounds like you might be over-complicating things. The iRig is a simple device, it takes in whatever sound you plug into it. So if there is sound coming out of the Focusrite then plug that sound into the RCA inputs. If there is sound coming out of your amp then plug that into the RCA inputs. Whatever you want to record or stream goes into the iRig RCA inputs. There shouldn't be any need to change any settings. To test it use the iRig Recorder software and shoot some video and audio. If that works then it should work with your choice of streaming software.
@@MoltenMusicTech Yeah you would think it should be easy as you describe it, but it's not working out as such. When I plug it in, it shows signal, I can hear myself very well when singing, but when I record or go on live, all you hear is loud static noise, nothing else.
Well it’s a new one on me. See if you can borrow an iPhone off someone and test it out to see if there’s a problem with your phone. Also level should be flashing in the green not the red and turn off loop back. If you get no luck send it back to IK.
What a great video! Thank you! The one question I got, that is making me hesitate to buy, is: Could one route the audio coming from a Macbook (e.g. from Ableton) to the iRig via the Headphone jack and then out of the iRig into an iPhone via the lightning cable?? I would be so glad if you saw this and could give me an answer. Cheers!
Great review thanks and your image and sound quality is excellent. Can you do a video about your livestream hardware setup please? Cameras, lights, capture, software etc.
Hi Ya, Great presentation. I may have missed it but as well as live stream can this device be used to record a vocal session on an iPhone which would be videoing the vocal performance. This would be by using a mixer board with Dynamic Microphone and backing track music from an iPad or computer. This would then be sent out to others as a recording via WhatsApp or messenger. Is this possible? If not please can you advise what would be the best way of doing this rather than just the iPhone microphone picking up the sound of the PA being used? Thanks for any advice.
Hi Robin! Thank you for the review! So can I use a headset with an in-built microphone (or ear buds with mic, as you said) and monitor myself real time? I mean, can I hear my own voice when using the headseat and iRig Stream? Thanks!
@@MoltenMusicTech thank you very much for the reply!!! Sorry, one more thing, is it a direct monitoring or with a latency depending on the buffer size?
GREAT REVIEW.....I have the irig stream but it suddenly starts having a drumming sound and stops the audio signals.....have to unplug and replug it again and again and disrupts my music....JUST NO PLACE FOR TROUBLESHOOTING
Great instructional video! I am new to live streaming. I plan to use a single AUX Out from my Behringer XR18 Mixer. Will a XLR Male to 2 RCA Male cable work with the IRig Stream? Thanks!
is the irig stream better than the Irig pro I/O if so how ? I have the pro now and i was considering upgrading to the irig stream.. is the sound quality better ?
No, the Pro I/O has better everything - however, it only has one input. So if you want stereo input and direct monitoring with loopback then get the iRig Stream Pro as it's the same quality as the Pro I/O but with more stuff.
@@MoltenMusicTech I have a 16 track mixer which I run 5 mics and 4 phones thru so I'm not to concern with a lot of inputs on the stream. When you say " stereo " are you saying the irig pro only does mono? Also are you saying the sound quality of the stream & the irig pro is the same audio quality? I really only would get the the regular irig stream if the audio quality is better and or it let you steam in stereo. Please advise as I have 4 irigs in my current set up currently and it's works pretty good but if the irig stream is going to let me send a stereo signal then I will upgrade to the stream irig. I definitely wouldn't need the stream pro tho. Let me know. Thanks for your help.
It depends on what you mean. If you go to the IK website you can see spec comparisons between the various iRig boxes. The "Pro" versions generally have better connectors (XLR/jack rather than minijack/phono) and go up to 96kHz rather than 48kHz. The Pro I/O very specifically has a single input. The iRig Stream has a stereo input. All the others have at least 2 inputs. Now, whether something streams as stereo or mono is a function of your phone and the streaming platform. Some platforms sum to mono, some dont - so that's another factor to consider. But ultimately if you want to live stream from your mixer then the iRig Stream will do that. And remember it's only the "Stream" version that has the ability to loopback software playback and include a side input mic over the top of the main input. So you need to decide what to get depending on the things you need it to do.
@@MoltenMusicTech thanks again for all the information I appreciate your knowledge. Basically I think I'm a stick with the Pro i/o with my set up I use a MG 16 Yamaha mixer which runs my micro phones and any other sound to the irig which means I would never need to use the loop back feature or I'd never need to plug a mic in to the stream. I actually was thinking the irig stream would get me better quality audio since it's called the stream. I guess I'm a stick with the irig pro i/O since it has the same audio quality as the irig stream plus Instagram live only get you stream live in mono and that would be the main reason I get the irig stream would be because the irig pro i/o only let you do mono?

But the technical reasons is because the map app is most likely using a Text-to-Speech engine - which has been allowed to generate sound simultaneously by the OS.....
awesome review and demo!! I ordered my Irig today after not liking the sound quality from my last Facebook live stream. You just got a new subscriber
YOU GET STEREO SOUND ON EVERYTHING EXCEPT FOR FACEBOOK. IF U FIND THE WAY TO GET STEREO ON FB, PLZ LET ME KNOW...THX
This might be the best review for anything ever. I, legit, will be buying this because of your review!
I bought this and it took my videos to the next level! (audio wise). For $100 this does a great job! I was impressed. Great investment, great audio quality.
Does this work with going live with people on Instagram?
HI DIAZ, HOW DO I GET STEREO SOUND WITH THIS IRIG ON FACEBOOK ? I GET STEREO ON CAMERA VIDEO, VOICE MEMO, INSTAGRAM BUT NOT ON FB. PLZ I NEED HELP
I use it to upload my music videos to RUclips. I connect my mixer to the IRig from the masters left and right using 1/4” left and right cables to rca left and right to the IRig. Dont know if that helps you
Eureka !!!! Finally a simple explanation of the IRig stream. I’m sold. Thank you Molten Music. You get a subscribe, a bell tap, and a 👍🏻 like. Thank you !
Follow up... This is such a game changer. The iRig Stream has made my life so much easier. The tests have been great. The red, green and blue lights output level indicator is great... strong audio finally. I'm doing a FBLive livestream with the John Clifton Blues Band. I would love to have you check out our livestream concert so you can give me some your thoughts afterward. Thanks for the tutorial.
HI..I will watch and review. but I need one help from you. How do I get stereo sound on Facebook live with this Irig stream. I don't get stereo, I can get stereo on every other things but not on FBLive. Please help me ..thanks
I have been researching all types of IRig Interface for live streaming but this is really amazing and will try to get me one ordered, thanks for that review Greatt!!!
Thanks for sharing and this the best, thorough review I‘ve ever heard. I‘ve bought an Irig stream just some days ago and trying to figure out how I could go live using this gadget, am gonna follow what you exactly said. Thanks much, done clicking the bell!
Thank you very much for the very complete review and how to on the iRig Stream. It's exactly what I need. Mahalo!
Excellent, indepth and not boring review. Liked and subscribed.
Great video thank you so much. I have a mackie USB mixer will this work well with the IRIG? Why did you put your phone horizontally for facebook live?
Sure, should be fine. My phone stand only holds it horizontally.
Thanks
The one on IK’s website
Exactly what I was looking for. I really enjoyed your way to explore the device. Thank you.
Can this be used just to record a video of yourself (not live-streaming) and save it to upload onto a platform at a later date?
Thanks man for this awesome made review. Your comments were so detailed and the quality of the video and the tone is great as well! Definately where I wanna go too ;) I'll buy the iRig Stream, thanks a lot!
Best Wishes
Great presentation, great video. Best explained visually. Purchasing one of these
I’ve been toying with the idea of live streaming jams for ages... This is going to make that happen. Fantastic, cheers Robin ✌️
Can i hear my phone’s output with this as well? 😊 For example if im on a stream with someone else or on a zoom call
Yes
great review!! Practical application is what so many other vids are missing. Thanks!
This is the best video i have seen on the irig stream...
Thanks for clear review :) I use Tik Tok and was confused why I only had audio when I went live or recorded.
I think the only bit you missed out was the mono on/off switch part of the Irig stream.
Cool. I couldn’t get any clear information on what the mono switch was useful for.
Awesome detailed review! Getting one for my dj sets online!
Very well done, sir!!!! I really appreciate you giving your time to do and share this.
Awesome guide and review which I just needed to buy this device, I bought their MTM active speakers this week, first arrived and second on the way, most expensive speakers I ever had but damn it was worth it... I can highly recommend them in case anyone wonders but there are enough reviews and ALL are very positive!
Thank you for this info. I love to do karaoke but everytime I go live to my Facebook the audio was terrible I will buy me one of this tools and hope it will make the audio a lot better.
does anyone know if this device works with iPhone XR? i read a review where a user had trouble getting it to work with his iphone xr.
So will this work with xlr to rcas? Or does it have to be a pure rca from mixer to I rig box ? Plz help just don’t want to waste my money
You can use whatever cables you like
The perfect answer to my crap audio nice video - prayers. Except I can't bloody find one anywhere.. Anyways.
Pre-ordered 👍 I am very grateful to you for making this vid and even more grateful for stumbling across the iRig. 🙏🙏 All the best.
This looks great. Ordered! Thanks Robin for this review!
thank you for this video.. I've been trying to figure out what to do to enhance my livestreams and have gone down the rabbit hole of interfaces, cameras, etc... this is the exact information I've been trying to find for what I am doing. Just got the LIve Stream & Mic
I was struggling soooooo hard get that high-quality output in my social medial and this helped. Thank you Sir.

I find the input audio level from a bose t4s mixer needs the irig volume control maxed out to get a decent level and green light. Could do with slightly stronger preamp in the irig.
The easiest explanation I got about irig ..thanks ❤
dude...Dude...DUDE!
Thnak you for this video! This is exactly what I need for my setup.. Ordering now
48kHz is standard bit rate for synchronising audio with video while 44.1kHz is a standard bit rate for CD quality. The fact that Facebook only does 44.1kHz is actually a limitation with the Facebook live streaming platform, not an issue with the iRig. The fact that the iRig defaults to 48kHz is correct because that is the standard.
Best Info video I have seen in years.
I will have $99.00 less in my pocket because of you man! But I have also 100% of certainty about this product. Such an amazing review! Thanks a lot!
Dude you rule this device! 👍🏽
Thanks, timely as usual. Ordered and will give this a shot.
Very detailed info on the Irig Stream device! Thanks!
Wow! Best information I have seen or heard yet!!!! Awesome 👏 😎. Thank You!!
and how do you switch between different cameras ...like you see in many livestreams right now. they have different angles set up.
You need software to do that like OBS or VMIX or expensive hardware mixing solutions. The software then streams to Facebook or RUclips etc. You could use the iRig in that setup but you'd probably use a better audio interface that also mixes into the same software. This is really for quick, easy, phone shooting.
Brilliant review made simple , it would be great if you could do one of the evermix4 which i currently own but my purchase an i rig stream now .
I tried connecting through my Focusrite Interface and my amps' mixer but none of them work really. Help please!
Talk me through your connections
You must download irig recorder LE for it to work on iPad 6th generation
Bro need help pls
What a great video! Thank you! The one question I got, that is making me hesitate to buy, is: Could one route the audio coming from a Macbook (e.g. from Ableton) to the iRig via the Headphone jack and then out of the iRig into an iPhone via the lightning cable?? I would be so glad if you saw this and could give me an answer. Cheers!
Yes
What is the difference between Irig stream and irig duo?
Everything I said in the video. Or the Stream has 3 inputs, the duo has 2.
Awsome video ordering my irig right now..I needed this😎💯
Great review thanks and your image and sound quality is excellent. Can you do a video about your livestream hardware setup please? Cameras, lights, capture, software etc.
With the iRig Stream i plug it into my iPhone and open instagram - that's it.
Yes
@@MoltenMusicTech Thanks,
Hi Robin! Thank you for the review! So can I use a headset with an in-built microphone (or ear buds with mic, as you said) and monitor myself real time? I mean, can I hear my own voice when using the headseat and iRig Stream? Thanks!
yes, you hear the mic through the iRig.
@@MoltenMusicTech thank you very much for the reply!!! Sorry, one more thing, is it a direct monitoring or with a latency depending on the buffer size?
It’s direct I think. There weren’t any drivers to install so the latency would be horrible - but it sounds fine so...
Good job, answered some questions I had about the irig.
You covered all the bases..Excellent video.
Thanks!
Yes it will
is the irig stream better than the Irig pro I/O if so how ? I have the pro now and i was considering upgrading to the irig stream.. is the sound quality better ?
No, the Pro I/O has better everything - however, it only has one input. So if you want stereo input and direct monitoring with loopback then get the iRig Stream Pro as it's the same quality as the Pro I/O but with more stuff.
@@MoltenMusicTech
I have a 16 track mixer which I run 5 mics and 4 phones thru so I'm not to concern with a lot of inputs on the stream.
Yes
