As a guy who tunes air rifles probably 5-6 times a week (and sometimes that many in a day) for different shooting scenarios and in different rifles, this info is better, and more simple than most the stuff out there. Keep up the good work.
Fabulous, watched all of that and have been shooting these for years. Sensible and organised explanation. It's what I have said for years, take your time, learn what the rifle can do. Listening to the rifle is a top top tip. Your ear will indeed tell you a lot.
So with the standard 700mm superior liner, my .25 M3 grouped really well with 41g slugs at 960fps, it would be really interesting to see what this newer 800mm heavy barrel can do with different slugs/ weights, the lower reg pressure needed to get these slugs to the same velocity as the 700mm is a real bonus, i think you are the first person on youtube to show what the .25 800mm can do.
Very interesting video Chris,I have the FX impact .25 FAC with the 700mm barrel /standard STX and you were completely correct, I to got carried away with buying different pellets and slugs and found myself getting confused and distracted.I have decided to go back to pellets and find a consistent/accurate set up .
Good video. I’ve been waiting for this one. I’m also using the 37grn Zan in .25, but with the FX King, 600mm slug liner. I didn’t hit consistent precision levels, until I got to 985fps, with the reg pressure at 145bar, and micro 4 clicks past 3.5. (It’ll be different for the M4 800mm, but may help somebody reading) I don’t have the valve adjuster, but with this balance of reg pressure, hammer spring tension and speed, I’m getting an extreme spread of around 5fps. 50yd groups, shot outdoors, easily sub 10mm. The best being 5mm x 7mm. I hunt, not target shoot, but still like to be precise as possible. Plus I enjoyed the process of it. I look forward to watching Part 2.
Good video, tuning these guns can be long time consuming process, done a lot of tuning over the last few years and one major thing I’ve noticed is chasing low ES is not the most important thing in the world, I’ve shot all my best 100m groups (14mm) with es of around 25fps.
At 50m with a 25fps they will still be going through the same hole!
More of these vids!
👌👍
Super clear explanation. I tune it exactly the same. Works good for me aswell. 2 tips for you. Change the hamer weight to 7,5 gram and place a carbon sleeve instead of the orings. Makes is more smooth this hamer weight and it’s not almost max out on both wheel and sound lots better to
I have a spread of around 2till 4 now, sinds I change this. Also with the 37 gr. zan
Interesting Chris good video mare 🏆
Excellent video Chris , I have the FX impact m4 sniper /.25 and fell into the trap of trying to many projectiles at first .I am currently concentrating on a good set up with pellets .People buy these rifles then realise you need a different liner in order to shoot slugs successfully ,then you find out you can’t just buy the heavy liner ,as you need a slot for a barrel on your FAC CERT.
Thanks for video
Super gun 👍 nice videos 😊 from Indonesia 💯☑️
Hi quick question do all fx impact fac come slug ready as in the barrel/liner taking in consideration the model like compact, normal, sniper or extended? I'm intending to buy a fx impact 22 sniper fac but I need to know if barrel/ liner for slugs and pellets is an extra option.
What did the rifle start of in the reg at the back Chris on the extended just wondering what the difference is
Between it and the 700 when you get it
Maybe You could explain this, for a rifle with no hammer adjustment and valve adjustment, only a regulator, how can the regulator be adjusted to have a constant shoot when the valve is pushing at a certain lb as air goes through it and the hammer, also unable to regulate, is pushing the valve at a constant lb?
I have a problem with the speed decreasing and gradually returning. What is the solution?
Not good accuracy
@@PisaTapiap glad you actually listened😉 i shall have a look at your channel
