- Hi RUclips! Spoiler alert *** I made it into the US Navy DEP Program. I went up March 4-5, 2021, signed a contract, and gave my Oath of Enlistment at MEPS. Here is the very, VERY long awaited video, and what my plans are next! As always, thanks for watching!

My ship date changed from 16JUN2021 ---> 02AUG2021 🥲
- I wasn't informed but it happened about a week ago, and I was officially cleared for the Nuclear Program (imma be a nuke!)

That’s wussup Nukes are chill but in bootcamp they always got picked on by instructors you’ll see what I’m talking about when you get there 😂
I kinda wish I had a video like this of myself when I went to MEPS. It would be cool to look back on how much has changed. Good luck in nuke training!

I went to MEPS in Harrisburg, PA about 2 weeks ago. It was rated the best MEPS nationally this year. The staff and enlistees were extremely chill and I am fortunate to have had an experience like that. Some people had experienced a bad time at MEPs in general. I signed a contract for CTT and ship out in 14 days.

Great vid. I was kinda blindsided by my job options. I picked ABE but now I'm having second thoughts on that rate. I ship to RTC in about 2 months and some change. Would I be able to change my rate?
Technically yes, you are always able to change your rate until the day you leave for bootcamp. It might be a long process with some paperwork but if that’s what you want to do, go for it! Don’t be stuck in something you don’t really want to do, it’s a lot of years to commit to
Congrats!!! I’m currently a EM in A school right now. I didn’t want it at first either but it grew on me. If you need any information or want insight of what it’s like here you can let me know.
OMG thank you for your advice! I was a little bummed when things didn’t go as I anticipated at MEPS, but hoping things will work out soon!
Congratulations!!! How long was your entire process!? I'm still waiting for a psychiatrist consult, but if I remember correctly, if all goes well with my consult, I will get to swear in that same day!!! So hope I get that appointment soon. I'm on week 4 of waiting starting 03/10/2021.
Entire process was a little less than 2 years, took a little less than a month to hear for my consult. Thank you for the support, keep bugging your recruiter to keep your name out at MEPS to make sure they don’t forget out you. You’ll be there soon!
@@briannawood2124 Cool and no problem! Yeah, I contact her every Wednesday. So this Wednesday I'ma ask her can she contact MEPS to see what's going on and give me an update since it'll be 30 days since MEPS.

Been in two years now, lmao. Man.. I don’t even know what to say other than it’s been an experience. A lot of bullshit you put up with that’s for sure 😂 Good luck to y’all who are going to boot or the fleet...especially the fleet 😂

When do you go to bootcamp after meps? Is it immediately? T.I.A.
It depends on the job you pick, for most people it’s at least a few weeks to months before you leave
is there different boot camp dates when you chose your job ?
Yes, usually 1-2 dates each month per job
i go to meps on monday but been bing watching videos to prepare my self😭 but i am going for the marines.
Congrats, lots of the process is mainly the same so don’t worry too much!
I have bad credit will that affect My eligibility
For some jobs yes but not really

How long do they give you to pick your job?
You are allowed to step out and make a phone call to your recruiter for help if you like, but it’s better to come prepared as best as possible because the jobs literally update by the minute. So you have time but no time, if that makes sense 😂

Could you have choose a sooner date to leave ?
When I went up in March, the soonest they had available was June and farther out, for the jobs I was initially qualified for. If they find a date sooner to leave, your recruiter can contact you directly and then you may be eligible for a bonus for leaving sooner!
@@briannawood2124 I take my asvab tomorrow downtown 🙏🏽🤞🏽 I want to leave as soon as possible but I still need to do my drivers Ed course for a traffic that will be the only thing slowing down my process
Best of luck, just take your time on your test! Just tell the classifiers you want to leave as soon as possible and they’ll work with you, or they’ll keep your name for reference and work through your recruiter!

Requirements to enlist as E-3 babe?
48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours of college credits or a college degree (Associates degrees, bachelors, masters) is the bracket I fell into to make E3!

High school diploma is a requirement, not to gain rank
