I was recruited for Nuke however even though I was born in America... Since my parents are South Korean immigrants the South korean government said i am automatically a dual citizen and can't renounce it until I am 35 no exceptions. Because of this I was kicked out of the Navy Delayed Entry Program less than a month away from high school graduation. Sucked. Recently I just graduated in Chemical Engineering and going for my Masters in Nuclear Engineering. Trying to make the best of my situation so I can still accomplish my dream of being a nuclear engineer
As a person who found out they had dual citizenship, I definitely understand. It also almost didn’t let me get in because of the clearance issues, but I’m glad you haven’t let your dream down! Nuclear Officers are definitely a thing and needed just as much as the enlisted!
@@briannaawood this was in 2015 this occured. I was told if I did it today with my credentials (I also got honorably discharged from the Army after deploying to Afghanistan) it is more likely today I'll be accepted for the top secret clearance. The Navy recruiter I spoke to recently said back then things were so much more upright when it came to clearances. Today according to him it is more reasonable. Could you attest to that? He also said it depends on who is handling your paperwork too.
I discovered your channel for information on boot camp and I’m also going to ship out in 4 weeks as a female nuke recruit so I’m really happy to see you make this video 🫶
crazy we joined the navy at the same time , I watched your vids 2 years ago when I was joining. I’m a MA so my a school was way quicker and been in the fleet for over a year now. But I heard you guys get paid a lot of money. Do you like being nuke? Did you enjoy your a school? Where you getting stationed? Hope all is going well
We get paid well for mostly 20 year olds, I actually really enjoy being a nuke. It’s hard, but life’s been good. I have soft orders to Washington for the summer! Hope your time has gone good!
Hello, few questions. I myself am wanting to go into the NUKE program. Do you have any study materials I could have before I shipped out? I am just waiting and waiting for my date. I figured I could make my life easier once I get there.
I mean the only thing I would say would probably be like some algebra 2, some basic trigonometry, and I think you’ll be good. Until you know what rate you’ll be, it’s a little hard to figure out what I could realistically recommend! But all rates start with math, so math math math!
At the end of prototype, you can opt for a one-question oral board. A match is lighted in the engineroom. Trace it back to a change in reactor power.
Are you planning on making a video outlining how Prototype works?
These videos are SUPER helpful.
