Being a responsible father who puts his back into making sure their children grow properly and is willing to do many things to ensure that as well as setting good examples out of his own character, is never short of badass.
Kiryu didn't make babysitting look badass, he made it look right Kiryu is probably the best videogame father figure I've seen yet, he is just an actual crystallization of everything that makes a father good: reliable, strong, wise yet flawed And most of all, his altruistic love translates into utmost effort into raising Haruka and Haruto Kiryu might have wanted to become a yakuza like Kazama, but he ended up with Kazama's empathy rather than his cold-blooded demeanor Man I love Kiryu's dad moments so much lmao
Kiryu is peak father figure. Even beyond Haruka, he perfectly handled the problems the kids at Morning Glory had. He let them be independent and figure things out, but was always there to help them with problems they felt they couldn’t handle on their own. I'm new to Yakuza. I'm only on Yakuza 5 rn, and I've been playing the games for about 3-4 months. These months have been some of the best ever. Kiryu's story will always be something special to all of us. Whether you've been with him the past 15 years, or 4 months - He will always be our Dragon. Carry on, Kiryu. Though your story has ended, we will always remember you.
It's finish good....But bad also :( Kiryu sacrifice himself for Haruka and Haruto will not even be in trouble again cause him. Never see Them again :( That was a good ending but super sad :'(
y'know it's always been weird that you get scored in Karaoke. I know it's for the Gameplay but becuase there's a global leaderboard in 6 and K2 I like to imagine the top 10 versions of these songs are somewhere on social media so people listen to Hands (Kiryu Ver.) which makes me happy. That'd probably make for a good substory.
Damn, now you got me thinking of Haruka, Yuta, and all the kids at the orphanage hearing this as if it's their Uncle Kaz sing to them one last time thinking it's an old recording from before his "death".
Rgg team has a lot of passion for their stories, when nishiki's VA was recording the new backstory scenes in kiwami he supposedly broke down into tears several times in recording sessions.
Yakuza is great. Kiryu is a man we all wish to be, and should aspire to be and shoot to aim to be as good as a person as he is, if you’re reading this make someone’s day good crack a smile and make someone else do the same, if only we had a world filled with people like him.
YAKUZA 6 ENDING SPOILERZZ You know... Since he does not have to watch the orphanage or the clan anymore... He could have some alone time with Kaoru. ;)
It's so sad to think about all the friends and family he lost when listening to this song and now seeing he's going to lose another person who he clearly cared for
this song better be in Gaiden with images of a grown-up Haruto and Haruka. I know he decided to leave for their safety but Im sure as hell he's keeping tabs on his daughter and grandkid as well as all of the other children of Asagao
I am sad regarding this beautiful ending. But I'm also happy, because Kiryu knows his family is truly safe, now. That was his goal. And although he had to gave up on them, there is still room for happiness. He still has Makoto Date and his ex-Yakuza peers. Hell, he could even search for the gal from Yakuza 2 in the US. His life isn't over.

And give all you got for the one you take under your wing
Smile and try to hide the sadness deep inside
Standing on your own, trembling as you do
Oh, the tears we'll cry on the day we say goodbye
Leaving the days we knew behind
And though as cruel as it can be, the world can't do a thing to me
Wherever the wind blows, I'm there for you
So there we stand, hand in hand
Maybe we never had it planned, but there's someone out there to trust, watching over us
How long will this moment last, you're getting so big, so fast
Tell me what kind of dream we've cast?
Those little hands, they warm my heart, and they did so from the start
It's time that you let go, I'll be okay
But they will grow and then you'll fly, you're gonna soar into the sky
And give all you got for someone, just like you and I
Dunno why but during this song couldn't stop thinking about Nugget the chicken lol 😅

Ever noticed how the guitar riff in the opening, the turn around and the ending is a quote of So Much More, one of Haruka's songs in Yakuza 5?
I wait for the NicoB plays Yakuza 6 and will get whole meaning to "daddy kiryu"
i know, i'm not expecting a Y6 LP for like 3-5 years
MrFedoraGrey I highly doubt that tbh
Oh man this looks soooo good! He just finished 0 and now has kiwami 1 and 2 to look forward to! Should he skip 3-5 to get to here or it's better he plays them in chronological order?
MrFedoraGrey the first chapter does involve the Okinawa orphanage
Well he might play yakuza dead souls maby if he does its gonna be funny his reaction when he sees a zombie
Beautiful song, one of my favorite karaoke songs now, next to Baka Mitai and Machine Gun Kiss.

Update, I've played all the RGG games a while back. Only one left is Ishin! (Kenzan was fun even though I couldn't understand it)
Anime opening : Judgement
Anime ending : Hands

y'know it's always been weird that you get scored in Karaoke.
I think that we can all agree that haruto is without a doubt the single most cute thing that ever apeared in a game am i right or am i right ?

Imagine being born and seeing Kiryu is your grandpa
Playing this at my son's graduation.
This song just hurts all the more after playing Gaiden.
FR, i hope next game will just have him with his family.
This song being here shows how much touched even the developers are with this character
Rgg team has a lot of passion for their stories, when nishiki's VA was recording the new backstory scenes in kiwami he supposedly broke down into tears several times in recording sessions.
Its like already a full song if the song is this long.
Now he is dying😢😢😢
Yakuza is great. Kiryu is a man we all wish to be, and should aspire to be and shoot to aim to be as good as a person as he is, if you’re reading this make someone’s day good crack a smile and make someone else do the same, if only we had a world filled with people like him.
who else would want kiryu to be their grandpa
Me duh.
Why couldn't an awesome fucking guy like Kiryu pass on his genes? The Yakuza universe is messed up.
BangkokHard I blame it on all his prison time.
YAKUZA 6 ENDING SPOILERZZ
You know... Since he does not have to watch the orphanage or the clan anymore... He could have some alone time with Kaoru. ;)
Godot that and every time kiryu got close to someone they either died or were written out of the series
Well, he could NOW, but not as Kiryu Kazuma.
he passed on his ideals. that's way bigger.
So I cried. Doesn't make me less of a man.
It's so sad to think about all the friends and family he lost when listening to this song and now seeing he's going to lose another person who he clearly cared for
Kiryu is the best grandpa for haruto, this can make me cry,i think......
this song better be in Gaiden with images of a grown-up Haruto and Haruka. I know he decided to leave for their safety but Im sure as hell he's keeping tabs on his daughter and grandkid as well as all of the other children of Asagao
cuteness over 9000
Hands was the song of life
Not me realizing that someday kiryu will be a 70 year old grandpa 😢
I am sad regarding this beautiful ending. But I'm also happy, because Kiryu knows his family is truly safe, now. That was his goal.
And although he had to gave up on them, there is still room for happiness. He still has Makoto Date and his ex-Yakuza peers. Hell, he could even search for the gal from Yakuza 2 in the US. His life isn't over.
I wish I could be like Kiryu in my adulthood

Before playing Yakuza 6 I used to listen to this song a lot and I still quite like it, however I think playing Yakuza 6 has caused some permanent damage.
Listening to this song now causes my vision to go blurry and my eyes start to sweat, this didn't happen before playing it.

@cu11en76 Haruka was like 9 when she went out looking for her mum back in Yakuza 1 so yeah, I can imagine her son doing something similar.
@@wchan39 Right, I thought this dude was nominating him for next protagonist for some reason 😂
Just realized that start of the song has the beat of Haruka's So Much More song.
Just finished the game today. Been a while but I started the series when 7 had just come out and I'm finally caught up to it. It's been a great ride.
I don't know Haruto from Adam but he's the most prescious, Adorable and most loving child. And i'll kill anyone remorseless if they ever hurt or intended to hurt him ever...
Wait.... is this the power of Unconditional love???
Something I only just noticed about this song , and absolutely adore, is that the guitar riff at the begining and after the choruses is almost exactly the same as the horns in Konnan Janai that play at the same parts. It makes me feel like Haruka's singing this too :)
As sad as this song is, the more I listen to it the more it kinda just floors me with how good of a rock song it is on its own. I gotta learn it on guitar
I love the fact they used same melody as "So much more!" for this song.
