@@cloverbun2574 if you see in the editor credits in the description it also says kevin, he's said it before but both him and his editor edit the videos (so like, they both retouch and edit it, but he says something he does the entire video or sometimes the editor does the entire video etc, it varies depending on the videos ig, here it credits both).

My favorite running gag Kevin has is how whenever he goes underwater, his voice sounds like it's submerged too.
It really adds depth

You actually can sacrifice children in Stardew Valley. If you marry and then have kids, you can get rid of your kids by turning them into doves in the witch's hut

I just laughed at the imagery that Kevin approached the Goddess with a corpse of a child and the goddess just looks with disgust saying she doesn't require sacrifices lol.

Just to clarify, this mod started out as a Harvest Moon/Story of seasons mod (which is a series of farming simulator that inspired Stardew Valley development).
If you liked /loved Stardew Valley, then you will be amazed with what Rune Factory series has to offer. If you want any recommendations on where to start then 3 or 4 will do, but if you dont have any console then 4 Special Edition is on steam. Also, nearly an hour of Kevin content? God has truly blessed us and by God i mean Jim Pickens.
I love Stardew Valley! So I should check out a game called Rune factory? I'm definitely willing to try it if it's reminiscent of Stardew....
@@georjiep4338 Rune Factory is basically Stardew Valley for DS (and Switch / PC with 4 and 5), I definitely recommend trying them out! 1 is kinda iffy due to age, so I'd recommend any of the others. You can play them in any order, but they only added the option to play as a woman in 4 if that's important to you. Hope you enjoy them!
I knew it was actually harvest moon as soon as the harvest goddess appeared. Harvest moon games are fantastic.
@@georjiep4338 Yup, don't be afraid and give them a try. As the other comment said Rune factory 1 and 2 aren't as smooth as Rune Factory 3-4-5 due to a change of direction that harvest moon's devs took by that time.
Rune Factory 3 is only for ds but it will have a remaster soon for the switch and probably (i pray for it) a port for pc, but you can't start as a female nor marry a male character (shame).
Rune factory 4 is more accessible due to be ported to switch and pc.
Rune Factory 5 has ports for pc and switch too, but, and i don't say this bcs i think i was a bad game (all the contrary, i really liked, in fact I'm still playing it), but it doesn't have the same "charming" vibe as the others.
The series has a more "Anime" like graphic design in comparison to Stardew Valley, but is a game worth playing. From it's story, to the characters, farming, combat mechanics, taming, yes, you have to tame monsters to help you fight, help you with your farm, give you items, ride them, use them on festivals and so on. You will love it, i can guaranteed you that.
@@jenniferadamson3519 Yeah, it's actually a mod called "Harvest Festival" if I'm not mistaken, it was a really fun mod that added a lot of the Harvest Moon series (specially those utterly adorable and cute cows) , but sadly, for some reason, at some point it stopped getting updates.

this is absolutely nostalgic as I remember seeing SSundee and Crainer do this back in the day. I don't remember them getting far, but I loved the content cross over. So glad to see it back in another channel

I gotta say, I've been loving the longer videos recently, especially since the editing is still quality in them! And they're so much fun that half the time I don't even notice they're any different from the normal length ones until I try to use them to tell time - "at the end of this video I will go do laundry, so in- oh whoa, it's an hour long??? *I've been watching for 30 minutes????"*

I'm really impressed of how dedicated these modders to overhaul the game and make the game feels like a new one. I also made my mods back in the day with Skyrim but those are just additional items that I wanted but I never go this far that will dedicate my time where you are almost developing the game. Big respect for these Modders.
I just wonder why they decided to make this modpack in version 1.10 instead of a more recent version.
I really hope Kevin keeps playing this. It’s such an enjoyable watch
i really really enjoyed this one, and the long form videos in general, theyre very cosy and nice!! (maybe cosy isnt the word with all the explosions and putting peoples hands in a vice but, i know what i mean),, i also know they must take a hell of a lot of effort, so thank you!!!!

I remember Kevin long ago you were calling your content 1 short video too much Kevin but honestly I bet hundreds of thousands just smile when you say "Hi there friends" everytime anew and laugh nonstop watching you. I am always happy giddy watching your videos.
It's way easier to find a village early on before starting diving deep into the modpack, it's gotten me to the Animal Ranch on day 16 so far. Also you are able to play the modpack just as effectively on Peaceful
Tried this mod for the first time. Made a new world and was placed in the middle of the arctic. Snow and ice as far as the eye can see. Seemed like a great place to start a farm!

For everyone complaining that it's Harvest Moon and not Stardew, this is from the modpack's page: "This modpack is centered around the genre of games that Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon are in."
And it (the modpack) even has the menu music from Stardew Valley, hope that helps with any confusion or irritation.

i really hope kevin comes back to this one. i've been playing stardew and minecraft nonstop since he's started doing videos on them a lot again and it's so calming and pleasant to play alongside him. i'm alone a lot because (like kevin) my chronic pain means i'm not really able to work a conventional job. playing minecraft and stardew while i watch kev do the same makes me feel less lonely when everyone i know is at work. he's also inspired me to start working on my own videos (altho they'll be essays); i've always loved film/tv/videos and it'd be kinda cool to use my bachelor's degree lmaooo
anyway; i really hope we get more of this specific challenge. it's a huge banger imo
