Definitely needed this upload today, got some bad news about our senior dogs health and won't know the details till the end of the week. I love these series. And coming from The Netherlands, I hád to notice that you can grow tulips. So, I got an idea for an episode of this! A Dutch farm! That would mean, I guess, that you can only grow tulips, make cheese, fish on herring and (of course, we're Dutch) eat or sell mushrooms. Gosh, I'm enthusiastic about this idea, hahaha. A full blown farm full of tulips, would that not be great, Kevin? Also, love your content!

Kevin, you can put fertilizer down after you plant your seeds! But only if they haven't sprouted yet. If you do something like this again, putting a barrier around your crops will help prevent the issue you were having of spreading debris destroying your crops. Fences work best, but you can use paths for a weaker shield if you think it'll look better. Your farm turned out very cute, and I'm impressed you were able to fit the coop!

@@alexleighton7587 thats so annoying when you finish a youtube video and it automatically changes you t o a new one without enough time. I've accidentally done the same and liked or left comments on the wrong video before
Tips! Time and Energy: 1. Forage resets once a week so you can wait till the day before reset day then collect everything at once to save yourself trips. Things will spawn over the course of the week then all disappear on reset day. 2. You can clear weeds and dead plants with the sythe instead of the axe to save energy. Very useful on planting day or if you want to do mines runs! Money and Resources: 1. You can put kegs in your house if you want a little extra money from your crops. Fruits in particular have a decent price increase from being turned into wine. Preserve jars tend to have a better price increase with vegetables than with fruits, so put your veggies in the preserve jars and your fruits in the kegs. 2. You can cut down the trees throughout the town and they will grow back in less than a season. It's a great way to get a variety of seeds for your farm. 3. You'll get more seeds and debris if you have trees/stumps with empty spaces around them 4. You can get hay from cutting the grass you can walk through with a sythe if you have a silo to put it in. The sword will not give you hay and until you have a silo you can't cut hay even though you have a place to put it in the coop. 5. A mayonnaise machine will significantly increase how much value you get from eggs, even if you only use it once per day. Your egg quality will increase if you pet your chickens (they have a friendship bar like the villagers), which increases sell price. 6. Trees last across seasons and continue to grow even in winter.
Thanks for posting this. This made my bad mental health day a bit better, I always get so angry when the crops get taken over by a rogue weed branch. I’m glad I’m not the only one!
I've been searching through all the comments cause I wanted to know if there was a way to get rid of all the files he had around his plants. All I found out is that stumps give out seeds and you can predict where the tree lands depending on what direction your hacking away at it. And stuff about mines. Nothing about the flies lol
Gunther: The last museum staffer stole everything.... They didn't even leave a rusty spoon behind.... I'm ruined. Kevin: Pssh, what idiot builds a whole museum without getting any artifacts first?? Loser!
1:15 well, the stumps are not growing back, you need to plant Seeds to let them grow again, but you should have one space room between common trees. There will be a 20% Chance that a tree will reach the next Stage each Day and has 5 stages in total. I'm glad i could read this on the wiki, because i didn't knew this myself yet, at least with the one space between the common trees
@@IzzyJoFo Yeah you are right, didn't knew that, but a full grown tree would generate the same amount of seeds aswell, but he could use the matured tree for tapper. So in long term it would be better to use a grown tree for his needs.

My favourite ever farm I made was using the "Tiny Garden Farm" map by DaisyNeko. Not as small as this, and still has the greenhouse, but it's still pretty damn small. I posted a picture of what I did on the farm somewhere in the mod comments, and also the r/FarmsofStardewValley, where it's on the second page if you sort by top :D
i feel like you could pick up the hermit challenge but instead of going out on the first of spring, you could go out on the 3 days of the night market, you can buy crops of all seasons there and because its 3 days you could also upgrade a tool.
I love this challenge! I like playing on the four corners farm and just taking the corner with the house in it. As a bonus, I can come up with arbitrary challenges to "unlock" the other corners. :3
This is actually a really pretty farm, especially given the constraints! I think that space you couldnt get to at the bottom of the farm is one of the bits of terrain that you can't break. Sadly enough its kind of just stuck there.

Two little things. The stumps do not grow back but they do drop seeds around them. And all foraging gets reset on Sunday, so technically the "optimal" day to forage would be Saturday! Apart from that you've done... great! So far
Oh! I was very confused when you left the farm at first, I forgot how this game was originally intended to be played haha. This mod was so cool, I feel like I'm rediscovering the game for the first time everytime I watch one of your Stardew videos.
I just wanted to say thank you for always helping me get through hard times. Watching your videos helps me relax and have a laugh even when life is very tough. I haven't been able to eat and hardly drink for a while and I'm in a lot of pain constantly right now. But watching your videos has helped me not feel entirely miserable or alone, so thank you..
If you do a second part to this please make sure that you have a heater in the coop for the chickens and enough hay for them to get through winter! Loved how pretty your farm looked at the end, it's small but manageable and a nice challenge to try :)
Gunther says the previous curator stole all the stuff from the museum and some other villagers mention that the Valley used to have a lot more tourism if I remember right, so having a local stuff museum would make sense
A good tip is to ignore the lack of space on your farm and just place a bunch of stuff out in the village, like machines and stuff. They don't tend to care
The 50-coin hay must be a ref to the real-life joke of a firm not even saying hello (or the likes of "hey") for less than 50€. That, or a massive coincidence.

Sorry to hear that. Hang in there!
Sorry to hear that... Hopefully it means something even better is on its way to you!
Getting rejected is just a sign you'll find something even better! Trust me!
You'll get there! Keep at it ❤️
I'm hoping that when Haunted Chocolatier comes out, Kevin is gonna find just as many ways to play it _differently_ as he has with Stardew
Kevin is a farming genius.
Everyone says that!
You know, it is a pretty cute farm. The haphazard placement really adds that rustic, serial killer in the woods vibe.
Kevin's videos always make my day. The creative way he plays with dialogue and storytelling brings so much to every game and when he revisits something it's either with a crazy new angle or something simple that he corrupts on an insane and hilarious scale. It's beyond entertaining, it brings joy to life, inspires and I swear trains mischief skill. No wonder this is a cult, I hope you know what a difference you make Kevin.. thank you for existing
AWE I wonder if Kevin read this. How far does he make it down into the comments.
@@rachelsuegoodman it was one of the first comments I saw, so hopefully he will see it :)
aw well hopefully he see's it one day and feels good, he deserves all of the praise and his comments are full of them for a reason :)
@@moofaasa you're absolutely right :)
I discovered this channel only recently, but it's already one of my all time favorites, such a breath of fresh air. Kevin's videos are really entertaining and [weirdly] soothing. Watching them helped me a lot with my anxiety. So I'd say that yeah, all the praises are 100% deserved :)
The fact your tiny farm is better than the farm I literally achieved perfection on is both impressive and infuriating
I really like how body positive Tiny is and that he just wears what feels good.
Gender non conforming icon
Yeah, I wasn't sure if that was a skirt or not, but good for Tiny.
tiny man, big personality
He’s too poor to afford a different set of clothes 😞
10:07 theres this tiny town of probably less than 300 people in western Maryland called Kitzmiller and they have a museum! Ive been multiple times because the guy who runs it grew up with my grandparents who are from there. Theres actually a lot of cool stuff there, especially pertaining to the mining economy and culture of the little town. Plus theres fun stuff to do in the area like skiing, kayaking, camping, shooting ranges, etc. It's really a beautiful landscape and my Grammy would always talk about how much she missed it because it's really flat where she moved to
Fun mod! One of my favorite games ❤ I've never seen anyone play the Wilderness Farm, where monsters come out after dark so that could be a funny video for you, Kev!
I picked that for my first playthrough.
It was cool at first and I like the layout, but the monsters rarely do anything after a while and are just a minor annoyance when they do.
I have one with my bf in one of my multiplayer saves. We would rush to go to sleep fast because of the monsters the first few days, so I hope he tries that it's very fun
@darkiusmc979
I chose the same farm for my 1st playthrough too! Thought it'd be fun having monsters chasing me around in farm. Welp until I needed to just fish a lil more and bats hitting me hahaha
I believe @rinqueen plays on wilderness farm, if you like Kevin, you will love her sense of humor as well! She is hilarious
I'm having a rough time right now, and I've watched this video 3 times just because it makes me smile and brings me comfort. Thank you, Kevin ❤️
Definitely needed this upload today, got some bad news about our senior dogs health and won't know the details till the end of the week. So roughly an hour with Kevin is exactly what I needed right now Edited for details our dog is a nearly 10 year old Irish wolfhound cross(her mum was an Irish wolfhound her dad was a maremma) for anyone who knows Irish wolfhounds that's ancient and for anyone who doesn't the upper age range for the breed is usually 8, she stopped eating well shortly before Christmas and we got her into the vet on Monday where they are running a full senior organ panel to see if there's anything wrong there and the vet is concerned it could be heart disease, if that's what it is there are medications but they get expensive for a dog her size and as I can't work due to my disability I'm at the mercy of if my parents think we can spare the money.
I'm so sorry about your dog, I hope they're gonna be ok. Wish you the best ♥️
Sorry to hear that, hoping things get better
Hopefully the long like the doggo lived was a good one. Spend lots of time with the doggy as possible
I know this is how Kevin is, but the "hibernate until my crops are ready" strategy makes me die a little inside every time
So much fishing $$$ to be had on rainy days :(
Agreed. Mines, fishing, foraging, shopping, cutting down trees... The game is jammed packed with a ton of activities.
I think it's a leftover reflex from doing the "Never leaving the farm" serie
Yeah but that assumes he cares how quickly he makes money in a year. It's not like there's a time limit for anything
@@gracegrass4462 the problem is fishing is so annoying
Kevin’s farm is actually so cute! It’s super cozy yet still efficient :)
i love watching your stardew videos! 1:16 also don’t worry you’re doing great. leaving the stumps just causes tree seeds to spawn close by so you were onto something
34:40 that moment when you know that you've watched Kevin long enough to accurately guess the chicken's name 😂
I love your Stardew challenges!! And over 40 mins of Stardew is a delight!
the fact that the editor added half a second of echo when kevin went in and out of his cave makes me believe in people again
These Stardew Valley episodes are the best to put on and chill. Always make my day better :D
Kevin, you are not stupid. You are a kind and polite young man and actually my favorite irish lad on youtube. Don't hurt or debase yourself in order to keep a few sad people entertained. Remember to have fun. We like you very much. Have a wonderful year!
Ah yes, a 42 minute stardew valley video, this is exactly what I needed today :)
Same
Kevin, you can put fertilizer down after you plant your seeds!
Kevin's Stardew Valley videos are always such a delight!
After having been out of cell range for the holidays and no wifi, I'm finally home. Turns out the roommate has covid, and I've already been here for a day, and now I've got to self-isolate to make sure I'm not developing symptoms.
Thank you for the videos, Kevin. I've got a nice little nest-egg of videos to catch up on, and it's keeping me sane 💕
Kevin riding a skateboard is just like learning how to play the guitar all you need is the mentality to learn new things and you inspired me to play the guitar now I'm playing all my favorite songs thanks to you learning new things is difficult but I hope you realize you are inspiring me and a hell of a lot of people to go and learn new things too I'm glad to see you trying something new. This made my year I can't wait to see what you do next
Wrong video Weasley! 🛹
@@alexleighton7587 thats so annoying when you finish a youtube video and it automatically changes you t o a new one without enough time.
I've accidentally done the same and liked or left comments on the wrong video before
@@fairystail1 yeah I really don't like when that happens
the little part where he goes in the cave and has an echo on his voice for like 0.1 sec *chef's kiss * 30:40
I’m loving the increased face time we have of our dear leader, his facial expressions add so much to the videos!!
Tips!
Time and Energy:
Money and Resources:
3. You'll get more seeds and debris if you have trees/stumps with empty spaces around them
They don’t grow back, but stumps do generate seeds on their own, so leaving the stumps on such a tiny farm is a good choice

I posted a picture of what I did on the farm somewhere in the mod comments, and also the r/FarmsofStardewValley, where it's on the second page if you sort by top :D
love that kevin still thinks trees will just DIE in winter, despite having played this game for eons
i feel like you could pick up the hermit challenge but instead of going out on the first of spring, you could go out on the 3 days of the night market, you can buy crops of all seasons there and because its 3 days you could also upgrade a tool.
The dandelion pic coming up when he ate the daffodil was so unreasonably funny 😂
I can’t remember if Kevin remembers there is a luck system to make the mine easier. If not, check your TV
Kevin does not conform to such efficient means.
Having an absolutely miserable day, so seeing this video up and then giggling for a solid 43 minutes did me serious good. Thank you for your hard work, you are an utter delight to watch.
Love the tiny farm in the end, it's so quaint and cute. Now I wonder, is there a mod to make the farm bigger? You should industrialize it and gather cult members to maintain it. Maybe. Just an idea. Love these vids as always Kevin!
"Okay I got to 5 that's enough to call myself a minor" damn Kevin that definitely intentional pun had layers 8:03
Hermit's son has followed his father's path of being an unconventional farmer.
I'm rewatching. I have a feeling that this will be added to my calming playlist. I love the look of the farm in the end
Kevin I watched your stream last night (Christmas fundraising) and I laughed at the child adopting chaos and your music made me cry (such beautiful music, my tears might stain my petticoat). Seriously love your content- you’re such a joy!
When Kevin talks about how daffodils *surely* must be on the food pyramid, he shows a picture of a dandelion (7:31)... and then eats a dandelion (which are definitely more edible than daffodils). 😂
i can always count on you, kevin, to release a video as soon as i start eating lunch so i dont have to sit and eat alone with my thoughts. you are awesome.
Yes. Thoughts bad, dear leader Good
Awe so cute. So0o true
Watching gardening genius Kevin cut the grass down with a sword instead of a scythe to get hay is what anxiety is made of
Tbh I don’t think it matters since he doesn’t have a silo

hey, i made the mod, and it's literally just the size of the map hahaha, the black part is just the void but yeah it does look cool
Kevin’s SDV videos are my absolute favorite! Truly a farming genius!
I love these longer videos, we get to see the whole downfall in one video instead of three
Absolutely hilarious. Probsky the funniest video of his that I have seen thus far. Also, Zack Morris reference was quite unexpected. I figured that was from my generation. Kev looks too young to remember that crap.
this mod looks great actually this would be so much better for me, i always get stressed out about having such a big farm.
I am laughing so much at this, you’re in your element. Jokes that are genuinely clever and you’re having fun, I’m loving this so much
Complaint: complaint is that I have none. I love your videos :)
The editor is killing it this video! (...Except for when they put in a dandelion when Kevin was talking about daffodils.)
Two little things. The stumps do not grow back but they do drop seeds around them. And all foraging gets reset on Sunday, so technically the "optimal" day to forage would be Saturday!
Apart from that you've done... great! So far
i love the Stardew series, thnx Kevin! hope you're doing well :)
Oh! I was very confused when you left the farm at first, I forgot how this game was originally intended to be played haha. This mod was so cool, I feel like I'm rediscovering the game for the first time everytime I watch one of your Stardew videos.
So proud of you Kevin! Your farm may be small but your heart and ability to torment yourself with challenges is massive
I just wanted to say thank you for always helping me get through hard times. Watching your videos helps me relax and have a laugh even when life is very tough. Right now I have mono and have been sick for 13 days, this virus is 10x worse than anything I've ever experienced.
I actually really like how your farm looks! It’s a cute little place and the idea with the trees in the back was cool :D
ITS AUTUMN I need this as a soundclip to announce my arrival in calls
A good tip is to ignore the lack of space on your farm and just place a bunch of stuff out in the village, like machines and stuff. They don't tend to care
You have to make sure that it is out of thier pathing or they will break it.

Yay Stardew Valley! Very much enjoy these and your Minecraft videos because you always come up with a fun new way to play the game. Also your farm is adorable, love the little veggie patch.
His mind craft videos are the best. I haven't seen any new ones in a while. The project zomboid ones arnt too bad. Especially the very last one he made where he actually tried to survive.
Lol
The last mindcraft series where he made a zombie fortress was the tits.
Loved it.
I want more of that.
His grand theft auto chaos mod ones do alright. They feel all the same sometimes.
His sims ones are okay. I think he does the Sim videos still because the sims community invited him onto a couple of their channels. And it probably felt really humbling for him. Since the sims community isn't usually as vulgar as Kevin's videos. But still fun
I might have had one too many Jameson tonight, but I thought the leek joke at the beginning was absolute proper class. Keep 'em punning, Kev!
Yay another stardew valley play 💚 and I didn't know someone even thought of making such a small farm 😂 that looks cute but also extremly hard 😨
