Fun fact: you can control where the trees will fall. It depends where you standing. For example, if you stand the left side to the tee, it will fall to the right. It even works if you cutting in front/behind the tree, you just have to stand a little to the opposite side to where you want the trees to fall.

Hey I have a tip about the cabins! They're usually used in multiplayer to house the other players but they can be useful in singleplayer as well. You'd need someone to help you out but basically you can invite someone else on the farm to upgrade the cabin fully, I suggest also marrying them so you can get rid of the bed, and after you put the world back in singleplayer the cabins all yours! It's usually just to have another cellar more end game, but still nice to know.

@@robonator2945how? he literally sold all of the tree seeds instead of regrowing trees in the hermit playthrough. his ignorance gets in the way often. and for a second he thought geodes would be a better way to get money despite wood being much better. not to mention planting beans instead of cauliflower, kale, or potatoes, then using some of the crops to make more seeds. which is more profitable than beans. then theres never using preserve jars. and coal is fairly common from fishing, i often get around 30-40 from the first 10 days of fishing. and when a year is 112 days, thats not bad. i mean when fishing is most profitable in the first month of the first year. if he made an exception to go into town 2 days on one year, he could have made the same exception to get the fishing pole anyways, so theres no need to wait until next year

Linus from LTT has memorized a shit ton about computers, yet when he got an error on a platform he hadn't memorized his competency, or lackthereof, showed as he then looked online, found a random forum post that seemed vaguely related to his problem, opened a terminal, ran a random command he didn't understand with full admin privileges, (which, by the way, gives a long "with great power comes great responsibility" warning that must be awknowledged on first usage that they conveniently cut out of the video) was given yet more warnings, was asked to type a full clause verbatim saying that he knew what he was doing and that the computer should "do as I say!", and then believed he "didn't do anything that unreasonable". Y'know, despite the fact that he did basically every possible thing wrong, sidestepped and/or ignored several warnings, and ran a random command he found off the internet with full admin rights without even understanding it on a superficial level.
Memorization and/or knowledge is not competency. An individual should strive to improve both, but if you have to pick one, pick competency. I love these series. And coming from The Netherlands, I hád to notice that you can grow tulips.
So, I got an idea for an episode of this! A Dutch farm! That would mean, I guess, that you can only grow tulips, make cheese, fish on herring and (of course, we're Dutch) eat or sell mushrooms.
Gosh, I'm enthusiastic about this idea, hahaha. A full blown farm full of tulips, would that not be great, Kevin?

Kevin, you can put fertilizer down after you plant your seeds! But only if they haven't sprouted yet. If you do something like this again, putting a barrier around your crops will help prevent the issue you were having of spreading debris destroying your crops. Fences work best, but you can use paths for a weaker shield if you think it'll look better.

    Tips!
    Time and Energy:
    1. Forage resets once a week so you can wait till the day before reset day then collect everything at once to save yourself trips. Things will spawn over the course of the week then all disappear on reset day.
    2. You can clear weeds and dead plants with the sythe instead of the axe to save energy. Very useful on planting day or if you want to do mines runs!
    Money and Resources:
    1. You can put kegs in your house if you want a little extra money from your crops. Fruits in particular have a decent price increase from being turned into wine. Preserve jars tend to have a better price increase with vegetables than with fruits, so put your veggies in the preserve jars and your fruits in the kegs.
    2. You can cut down the trees throughout the town and they will grow back in less than a season. It's a great way to get a variety of seeds for your farm.
    3. You'll get more seeds and debris if you have trees/stumps with empty spaces around them
    4. You can get hay from cutting the grass you can walk through with a sythe if you have a silo to put it in. The sword will not give you hay and until you have a silo you can't cut hay even though you have a place to put it in the coop.
    5. A mayonnaise machine will significantly increase how much value you get from eggs, even if you only use it once per day. Your egg quality will increase if you pet your chickens (they have a friendship bar like the villagers), which increases sell price.
    6. Trees last across seasons and continue to grow even in winter.

1:15 well, the stumps are not growing back, you need to plant Seeds to let them grow again, but you should have one space room between common trees.
There will be a 20% Chance that a tree will reach the next Stage each Day and has 5 stages in total.
I'm glad i could read this on the wiki, because i didn't knew this myself yet, at least with the one space between the common trees

@@IzzyJoFo Yeah you are right, didn't knew that, but a full grown tree would generate the same amount of seeds aswell, but he could use the matured tree for tapper.
