This is very common on hosted multiplayer tbh. I was constantly banned in BF4 for killing the admin and wrecking the enemy team. Not only that but people like that also played together. Like they’ll be in the same team. 2 squads of tryhards and sometimes when they couldn’t win they just banned the top player so things went their way. A bunch of b as losers
If you knew the actual situation in the server then you would realize this was just a youtuber trying to get views, I personally played this server and the admins were great and helpful, I enjoy harvests content but the way he did these guys dirty really annoys me although I can't blame you for believing harvest. (Torstein and DevNFPS ran the server as a passion project if im remembering right and the server had been up for a decent while so when there was a raid issue a few months ago they decided they didn't wanna deal with the childish people anymore and shut the server down forever, in reality harvest exploited a vehicle loophole to get in and raid that base in which there was a SPECIFIC and hard set rules for raiding bases, I have nothing but fond memories of the friends I made on the server and the tv show level experiences I had. (sorry for yap)

Didnt seen the rest of the video yet and I already had this in my mind when he said the admin came to "check the doors" I knew hes either playing with them or giving his friends info so they can have "fun" by driving ppl off the server by raiding them even thou they didnt find them on their own... on one side it give the server more action but on the other you are in an unfair disadvantage... the "brothers" base was cool as fk!!! the position... but this? admin spying and giving info? I knew it had to be that the moment he mentioned admin did something he shouldnt... fk this game... PvP would be good if the admin would not participate in the game other then maintaining it
The giveaway that this server is corrupt is that the admins are active players on a server that never wipes. They will always have an advantage over everyone else due to character level and if anyone does manage to catch up or just beat them anyways they can ban them.
When I played the server the admins were neutral and fair with pvp, they never had a base or interfered with anyone in such ways, when I was a new player I had more fun then harvest WITHOUT EXPLOITING, I made great friends and the admins were very helpful but they had jobs to deal with and sorting out some youtube clout chasers bs was not what they felt like doing.

WOW this was so good! Well edited, compelling story, bittersweet journey... Only thing worse than sweaty gamers are power-tripping admins. What made them think playing on their own server while knowing everyone's location was fair? And the fact they try to ride their high horses to uphold conflicting rules on a PVP server and accuse you of cheating when you have clear evidence against their claims. Incredible. Man I'm so glad you started your own server. Hate people that power trip and basically cheat when they no longer have the upper hand. I didn't have a problem with no building to get in people's base but everything else was insane.

I love the way this entire thing is formatted and framed. The way it's told like a story had me on the edge of my seat. I was feeling tense, nervous and super excited to see what happened next! I love when people can take a game not always meant for stuff like roleplaying and still make a narrative out of the journey they take on it! The editing isn't overbearing or too flashy, just dramatic and clean enough to enhance the storytelling. The clean transitions camera movement everything is just really swell! I love the sound design too. I hope you make another video like this! I would watch more in a heartbeat, especially if they get longer than this
Really glad you liked it, it took a lot of time but it was so worth making every detail as perfect as I could- I will say though if you want this quality in a longer format expect me to take a few months to pump something like that out lol

I recommend that you do try the game. If you enjoy survival games with zombies, but far more indepth with its immersion and survival aspect. Skills like Cooking, Metalworking, Carpentry and more. Stats to keep track of such as happiness, boredom, depression, injuries. Even calories you need to keep track of otherwise you'll become overweight or underweight. You can exercise, increase your fitness and body strength. Incredibly fun, but difficult, game. Better with friends tho, I'll admit.
Truly one of the best youtube videos out there. I just recently got into playing PZ and have been completely obsessed, and this video just fueled this obsession while also being amazing entertainment, and kind of beautiful to be honest.
At the end of the day, I only have distaste for the admins. The Cult Clan was the bad guys of the server which made it all the more interesting and its a badge they should have worn, but using power tripping admins when they finally fell was pathetic.

I still don't understand why the admin. Made you move bases... perhaps because your first base was so well hidden and since they were so close to The Cult Clan, theh wanted your base easily raid able and found. If so, than that's really scummy, and low handed on the admins side.
There were some guys I knew on this server that lived in literally the middle of nowhere, there was no foul admin play just petty harvest trying to get youtube clicks and content.

Man, I sat right here and truly enjoyed all of that. I had a similar experience in the game Ark: Survival Evolved back in its early days. As crappy as it is to have these people end your time with ban power trips, the journey to 1 up them and force their power leaves great memories.

admins on games have never seen the "with great power comes great responsibility" speech and it shows. from ark to zomboid admins build and destroy their own servers and it greatly affects the players who are on those servers. played on a dayz server and it was amazing and i made some good friends and for something as minor as suggesting a mod to the admins apparently challenged their authority and hurt their egos and so they teleported to me and my group and just murdered us. one of my people put out a video showing this and the server with a steady 40 pop being up for months almost hitting they year mark completely vanished over a single mod recommendation. it wasted alot of players time and some completely dropped the game because of 2 admins power tripping. im happy to see a transparent admin like yourself putting out videos for your peers to criticize without the fear of repercussions. keep up the great work

I particularly loved how you chose to set up each scene with music that would add to the vibe at that point, with the sections of storytelling monologue being accompanied with subtle music that could easily and seamlessly shift to music that set you on the edge of your seat as tensions flare on screen. Everything came together to turn your video into a cinematic experience that stands apart from other videos in the same vein in it's own distinct way.

I'm 50 or so hours into the game (entirely solo or with friends), with many times more hours of research and learning. I am convinced this is the best game ever created, but I get too frustrated to with the setbacks caused by my lack of skills so I play in stints. This video has convinced me to give PVP servers a shot. This looked like so much fun and in the new year I would like to try out putting my mark on your server if you'd have a noob like me :)

Honestly, I don't even think the server issues were the fact that the admins played on the server because, in all reality, when someone owns and plays on the same server, I think it says a lot that the people who run it are willing to dedicate time to it. However, it seems like these admins lacked maturity and couldn't admit that they were wrong. At least, based on this amazing video, you can see everything you had done was on the up and up. Some people just can't accept losing.
Honestly i didn't think i would enjoy a pvp zomboid video, but that was such a good little story arc lol. As soon as you said the admins play on the server and are on the same squad as the cult clan, i knew they would come up with a bullshit ban as soon as something didn't go their way. The giveaway that this server is corrupt is that the admins are active players on a server that never wipes. They will always have an advantage over everyone else due to character level and if anyone does manage to catch up or just beat them anyways they can ban them.
When I played the server the admins were neutral and fair with pvp, they never had a base or interfered with anyone in such ways, when I was a new player I had more fun then harvest WITHOUT EXPLOITING, I made great friends and the admins were very helpful but they had jobs to deal with and sorting out some youtube clout chasers bs was not what they felt like doing.

Its a shame that those admins where so aggresive, i read trought the conversations you had with them and it was hinestly sad. Since the day i first try this game( a lot of time has passed) i feel that it needed multiplayer and pvp, and now that i see a pvp server for the first time trought your story im hyped as f to play it again. I love the way this entire thing is formatted and framed. The way it's told like a story had me on the edge of my seat. I was feeling tense, nervous and super excited to see what happened next! I love when people can take a game not always meant for stuff like roleplaying and still make a narrative out of the journey they take on it! The editing isn't overbearing or too flashy, just dramatic and clean enough to enhance the storytelling. The clean transitions camera movement everything is just really swell! I love the sound design too.
I hope you make another video like this! I would watch more in a heartbeat, especially if they get longer than this

I recommend that you do try the game. If you enjoy survival games with zombies, but far more indepth with its immersion and survival aspect. Skills like Cooking, Metalworking, Carpentry and more. Stats to keep track of such as happiness, boredom, depression, injuries. Even calories you need to keep track of otherwise you'll become overweight or underweight. You can exercise, increase your fitness and body strength.
Incredibly fun, but difficult, game. Better with friends tho, I'll admit.

Truly one of the best youtube videos out there. I just recently got into playing PZ and have been completely obsessed, and this video just fueled this obsession while also being amazing entertainment, and kind of beautiful to be honest.
At the end of the day, I only have distaste for the admins. The Cult Clan was the bad guys of the server which made it all the more interesting and its a badge they should have worn, but using power tripping admins when they finally fell was pathetic.
I don’t even play Project Zomboid and came across this video by accident but I loved every second of it. You have done a wonderful job of storytelling. Definitely need more of this!!!!!

Man, I sat right here and truly enjoyed all of that. I had a similar experience in the game Ark: Survival Evolved back in its early days. As crappy as it is to have these people end your time with ban power trips, the journey to 1 up them and force their power leaves great memories.

admins on games have never seen the "with great power comes great responsibility" speech and it shows. from ark to zomboid admins build and destroy their own servers and it greatly affects the players who are on those servers. played on a dayz server and it was amazing and i made some good friends and for something as minor as suggesting a mod to the admins apparently challenged their authority and hurt their egos and so they teleported to me and my group and just murdered us. one of my people put out a video showing this and the server with a steady 40 pop being up for months almost hitting they year mark completely vanished over a single mod recommendation. it wasted alot of players time and some completely dropped the game because of 2 admins power tripping. im happy to see a transparent admin like yourself putting out videos for your peers to criticize without the fear of repercussions. keep up the great work

I particularly loved how you chose to set up each scene with music that would add to the vibe at that point, with the sections of storytelling monologue being accompanied with subtle music that could easily and seamlessly shift to music that set you on the edge of your seat as tensions flare on screen. Everything came together to turn your video into a cinematic experience that stands apart from other videos in the same vein in it's own distinct way.

I'm 50 or so hours into the game (entirely solo or with friends), with many times more hours of research and learning. I am convinced this is the best game ever created, but I get too frustrated to with the setbacks caused by my lack of skills so I play in stints. This video has convinced me to give PVP servers a shot. This looked like so much fun and in the new year I would like to try out putting my mark on your server if you'd have a noob like me :)

Honestly, I don't even think the server issues were the fact that the admins played on the server because, in all reality, when someone owns and plays on the same server, I think it says a lot that the people who run it are willing to dedicate time to it. However, it seems like these admins lacked maturity and couldn't admit that they were wrong. At least, based on this amazing video, you can see everything you had done was on the up and up. Some people just can't accept losing.
Honestly i didn't think i would enjoy a pvp zomboid video, but that was such a good little story arc lol.
