I have recruited to help build a new colony on an alien planet. There is a breathable atmosphere but not plants, no water, no dirt
I will have to survive on an alien planet that has no plants, wood, water or dirt and survive for 100 days
I can not leave the planet the entire play through
Industrial craft 2 is the main mod in this 100 days challenge
But also it has Nuclearcraft aka Nuclear craft Immersive Engineering and Thermal Expansion

The mods for that tend to not work well or be broken most of the time so he probably cut it off so he could actually play the game
He already has a lot of water and heat isn't a problem and probably kept getting turned off
imediately after he got a single water bucket.. but he still kept refering ot it for a while- xD

This was actually pretty enjoyable with the botanist and farming, especially the machinery. You've out done yourself again captain.
The next video you suggested is great, I'd love to watch some nuclear craft. Maybe after that video, you could continue on crossbreeding plants and see how far it can go, A dedicated video for just planting and crossbreeding would great like the Pams harvest craft one's.

1:04:44 I know this isn't a big deal, but as a chemistry nerd, I can't help it. PLEASE do not call ethylene "ethanol". Ethylene is the stuff the generator is burning and also used to make plastics, ethanol is just pure alcohol. Ethanol can be used to make ethylene, but it's not the same gas.
Edit: fixed accidentally calling these gases elements. I'm stupid.
Neither are elements and both are from the same group of covalent compounds

My guess is that at that point nothing could grow only spawn, so he didn't plant any cactus because it wouldn't grow.

Possible suggestion, if you get the ExtraTAN mod for tough as nails, Pam's harvestcraft drinks will restore thirst! You can also make heated and cooled drinks to regulate temp better
11:03 that heat generator is not a full effecenty. Filling up corners around of generator makes more power from one generator. Also you can lavaloged generator (it is similar to waterloging stairs, but with lava instead of water). (Sorry for bad English)

I'm super late, but also temperature mod stopped working at some point during the first 30 minutes. Just a grey circle afterwards.
Aaaand at 1:0604 it temperature and thrist disappear completely. Probably part of the roleplay, since he clearly changed something up to make the sky better and remove the fog. But why add thirst, if you don't want to use it later. At least acknowledge that you've removed some survival mods, that were hyped up at the beginning of the video

also heres a way to make melon farming more efficient put one row of seeds then two rows of dirt then another row of seeds so that when melons grow the two dont touch the same melon

I really love 100 days like this. I saw so many zombie apocalypse stuff, I'm just not watching them anymore. Player vs environment is way more fun and interesting to watch 8) I wouldn't mind 200 days of this 8D
Captain should use HBM’s Nuclear Tech for the next video, it would put an interesting spin on things. Perhaps attempting to make a fully functional vault. Ride off the success and rise in popularity of fallout as of late.
What is probably my last tip:
Minecraft crops grow WAY faster if they're planted in unique rows.
E.g.a row of wheat, then a row of potatoes, then a row of wheat. But twp rows of wheat next to eachother will grow slower.
You CAN have empty hoed dirt between these rows when seeds are extremely limited. Im less sure about this speeding things up, but it won't hurt either.
