Stardew Valley is an open-ended country-life RPG!
You've inherited your grandfather's old farm plot in Stardew Valley. Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new life. Can you learn to live off the land and turn these overgrown fields into a thriving home? It won't be easy. Ever since Joja Corporation came to town, the old ways of life have all but disappeared. The community center, once the town's most vibrant hub of activity, now lies in shambles. But the valley seems full of opportunity. With a little dedication, you might just be the one to restore Stardew Valley to greatness! (as shrek)

@@SableCatDog To be pedantic they aren't the same, you can't harvest crops with a sword.
@@SmolPotatowo Oh I didn't know that! See, this is why I love having a community, you learn new stuff all the time.
@@SableCatDog Sword will cut grass and destroy weeds. Destroyed weeds can drop fibre or mixed seeds, sword cut grass drops nothing. The scythe will do the same, but if you have a silo on your farm, the grass will drop hay. The scythe is also used to harvest certain crops like wheat and rice. There's also mods to let you harvest all crops with a scythe. Happy farming :)
I made the same comment and then 5 mins later he realised himself with the sword lol
So some people could argue you don't have to talk to Pierre to get the backpack, you click on the backpack separate from him. So just pretend Shrek barges into the shop throws money down on the counter and runs away holding the backpack.
Also you're better off using your scythe to get seeds, it saves energy and it's faster.
The backpack part is why I was here

Kevin discovering filters was the most terrifying thing, which is weird because he was an actual ogre all game. Lad never fails to impress!

To this day, Kevin can’t help but play as hermit characters in stardew
Between the hermit who never leaves the farm and an Ogre who hates the villagers, Kevin's characters are descending into madness almost as quickly as he is.
Art imitates life and Kevin cant be bothered to pretend to be sane for his videos anymore.

17:02 While you can’t break that log without the 2nd axe upgrade, if you bring a chair from your house over, you can place it on the other side and sit it in to get past the log. You can use the same technique to get out.

Sound like an edgier reboot in the making. Shrek spent the entire movie alone, living of trash and monsters he finds in the mines (cause for some reason hes a miner now, dont ask). Slowly, he overcomes his social anxiety and earns his happy ending. Reuniting at last with Donkey while setting up an inevitable sequel. It would be oscar worthy for sure.
Absolutely the BEST beginning Kevin has ever done. The beginning is so funny I watched it 4 times already.

Maybe worth noting for those who want to try this themselves that you don't actually have to talk to pierre to get the backpack upgrades, though the 'don't talk to villagers' thing kind of went out the window pretty quick anyway.

Im assuming its a suprise sequel, which brings a number of interestig questions. Did Hermit mutated into an ogre after being alone for a century in the farm only eating sap? Or was it the other way around, was Shrek an older Hermit all along, in a twist 20 years in the making? Cause, as we all know, Kevin is the number one authority in Shrek related info. So he would know what the true canon is.

Not sure if anyone else mentioned it or if they’ve removed this from the game, but if you want to get into the hidden forest without having first upgraded your axe, you can cheese your way in by placing a chair (like from your house) on the other side of the log, and then sit on the chair, and that should get you across the log!

Not sure Shrek is in the chanel enough to be considered a part of it. Hes more of a ocasional guest, a part of Kevin personal life (there must be a Shrek altar outisde the camaras view) that sometimes find his way into the videos. Cant blame him for that. Now that hes a recognizable youtuber he can fulfill his childhood dream of becoming Shrek. Hes truly living his best life.

Hey Kevin!!! You probably already know this, but if you need hardwood from the secret forest, you can get there using a chair! Just place it on the other side of the log and you can skip over it :)

Fun fact about smash mouth and your comment: they did make me feel better when they were there! I used to work at the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk in tickets and I’d beg to be in the booths you could hear smash mouth play on the nights they had concerts. It really made the night so much better and all the employees laughed the entire night because people only knew the Shrek song
