- It's a pretty basic car, opening the hood is difficult if you never encountered a Ford.
We had this focus for about 5 1/2 years - it was overall reliable (never broke down on the road) things that broke while in our service had been the lock for the hood, and the reservoir for power steering fluid.
Then in the last half year both the ignition coil as well as the ESP System broke, ignition coil was an easy fix but in it´s current state it won´t pass state mandatory inspections any more so we´re getting a new old car instead. (also repairs for the last inspection had been too expensive, we should have gotten rid of the car back then already)
The aux-input in is the glove compartment; you have to open it up to connect the aux-cable. Took me while to find out.

Good video the automatic selector probably just needs tightening with the small grub screw this happened with my focus when the selector came off in my hand. Luckily enough I found the small screw and used a bit of glue before refitting. Yes with the Auto you carnt remove the ignition key unless p is selected as this is for safety reasons as the front wheels become locked in park

My biggest problem with focus mk2 are the freaking doors locking system freezing during winter, and often getting water into the spark plugs and the mech`S suggest me to get a top shield over the entire engine, but as far i know there is none for the regular gasoline version. But i know Disel versions had, but i did find a Volvo shield that fits over the spark plugs as the mk2 and volvo v40-v60`S are more or less based on the same platform. So yeah my ford focus mk2 now has a Volvo plastic shield over the sparkplugs :D

Yea that still happens sometimes and can be quite funny but also disappointing (you can tell youtube as often as you like that your channel is english it sometimes overwrites that) - alas when it does create english subtitles they are better on my videos than on some of my American creator friends.
I wonder what that does to the seo since the transcripts seem to be much more important for that compared to custom tags nowadays.

Sorry to hear, we had the lock there replaced in the shop when ours broke as well - no idea if there is any alternative way to open it or they just crowbarred it open.

In 2008 there is no option for cruise control??
This model has cruise control as shown in the video (there are maybe some models which don't have it I'm unsure if this was a basic feature or some upsale thing)

Our´s broke as well but we had it replaced in the ford dealership but it shouldn´t be too difficult I would guess.
Hi, How to open the trunk? I do not have an electronic Key just a simple key. I've lost my electronic Key
Isn´t there a button or lock at the trunk? I can´t quite remember how it was on our model but that might vary (our now car can only be opened there via the button - that was a problem when the motor that moves the lock broke)
I think American cars require a emergency open thing in the trunk but that does not help much for day to day operation.
One question this car have Bluetooth for music??
I don´t think there is model which includes that (ours had the buttons for Bluetooth phone connection but that was for a model class above I guess) there are 3rd party radios available where that would be possible.
Not this specific model, the 2009 model (pretty similar to this) can actually have bluetooth Audio/ usb/ Aux but only with an original Sony stereo and with a right Bluetooth module (hidden behind the glovebox), but again, only for the 2009 Model, this model with the Ford 6000cd only has Bluetooth for calling and nothing more, you can buy cheaps bt reciver on amazon that plugs in the 12v socket and gives you bt audio through FM radio.

Ours you could only fold manually I'm not sure if that was a feature on that generation (we had heated mirrors on our focus)

Should be right in front of the engine unless you're talking about something more specific like the heater core.

Ford Focus mk 2 is the one of worst ford evermade .What a bad quality and shit car !There is problem with everything ,bad electronic ,bad motor ,bad strearing,brakes is shit ,taking 10l per 100 km .I had one and after 3 months throw on garbage and bought VW .
The MK1 was better (in quality), the MK3 is better to...
Now after months of driving other cars I´m almost agreeing - we got our as a present so I´m inclined not to talk too bad about it but I´m glad we´re rid of it
i have a ford focus mk2 for two years now and all i changed are regular things like oil and tyres. Excellent, amazing, easy, economic, sexy too. It's parts are cheap and are strong. But ofcourse if you drive like you have a Lamborghini, you would say it's the worst ford evermade.
