Would that be standard measurement for all driving styles?
Is there any benefit to a different measurement… let’s say, a Baja bug that bounces a lot on the trail but also drives on the street ?
I have a 2276 with duel 44 Idf, and I’m always looking for that edge..

I’m reading that 10mm might be better for a Baja/off-road setup. Helps with any potential fuel issues when bouncing around.

My son runs duel 40 idf on his 1900,
Do Velocity stacks make a difference or not?
The 44idfs come with them. The 40’s did not.
His 40’s are original Italian carbs.

Velocity stacks are important. They will definitely increase efficiency and performance. The air filter is pretty important as well though. Having the velocity stacks exposed looks cool, but will clog your carbs quick. I suggest K&N.
Take a look at the different styles in the link above and read their descriptions.

These are on a Sand rail.
There’s foam and dust socks on them.
Dust and sand still find there way in.
His stacks are close to the top of the air filter.
He needs taller air filters , more air flow ..

Now I'm hearing 10 and 32, i guess just try it all lol

Weber suggests 14mm closed, I suggest 13mm off the research I did and for my setup (non baja). Fully open, I suggested 24/25mm. That’s probably the 32 your talking about. But 32mm seems a little much.

@@VitosFix I'm having the popping myself on startup until it's warm, driving me nuts, I'm at 14mm right now I'm going to try 12

Dual 48s, 2110 , it's lean at idle according to the AFR gauge, but goes up to borderline rich on mains

I have the popping during warmup and my plugs keep fouling, but it starts up fine and accelerates perfectly, people are suggesting IDAs but I believe they are for racing, ie. Idle or wide open

I would definitely try 12mm. But, there are a lot of other things I would look at as well. Are you running a electric or mechanical fuel pump? Either way, do you have a fuel pressure regulator and gauge? I believe Weber suggests no more then 3.5 Lbs for fuel pressure, but many people talk about running as low as 2.5.
Do you have a fuel filter right before the carbs? (Just past the hardline coming out of the chassis beside the trans). You’re carbs could have something inside, but is in a position that isn’t causing problems until it makes it’s way back to one of the main jets and could be blocking it. Then when you shut the car off, it sits, falls back down to the fuel bowl.
What kind of fuel are you using? Based off your compression ratio, 93 octane might be better then the lower grade. If it’s not driven very often, sometimes it’s better to run ethanol free.
What kind of pushrods do you have? Either way, make sure valve timing is on point.
Distributor timing. I suggest 28-32. But you’ll have to find that happy medium. It’ll vary based off all the setup you have, altitude, fuel octane, etc.
Your jets, pain in the butt. But if it’s too rich on the mains, get a few sizes and slowly step it down until it’s not too rich/lean.

    Same measurements for a 32/36?

I’m sorry man, I know it is for 40, 44 and 48, but I’m not sure on the 32/36. Shoot me more info on the carb you have and I’ll research it for you if you want.
