Dad plays Operation: M.O.V.E. by Leftover Crack on Bass Guitar

This song reminds me of my dad.
I was in high school when this album dropped. I was playing along to this in my room one afternoon when my dad calmy walked in during the singing part and as I pause it he said, "I couldn't hear any of the other stuff... but what YOU were playing was really beautiful." And that has always stuck with me: that something could be really beautiful and not at the same time; and that when something strikes you as really beautiful, you should stop what you're doing to tell that thing it's beautiful.
So there you have it, folks; the reason why a punkrock song about police violence reminds me of my dad, who is inarguably the least violent person I know.
