@@katrinat.3032 I already have "The Creatures..." in a recording by Roger Norrington/London Classical Players. I know how Beethoven can express himself in shorter contexts...Coriolan,

@ralfhudlet702 It makes me so happy when I find other people who delight in the same moments as I do! You might enjoy Celibidache's recording of the "pure euphoria" part. It's considerably slower, albeit all the more powerful in my opinion. It completely melts you. Here it is for reference: ruclips.net/video/WaEbCw6ucSU/видео.html (starts at 8:35)
For many many years I listened to the Bohm interpretation as the ultimate one. It was slow but incredibly powerful. I couldn't find any that would come close. This has just surpassed it. The density, the richness, the absolute mastery in the minute creation of pure power, or might, or energy, is unbelievable. For the first time in my life classical music made me cry.
My GOD. The minute-long passage from 21:30 - 22:40 delivers the most mind-blowingly euphoric high you’ll ever get from music. This stuff oughta be illegal.
Not the most, because music is so much than this and in Beethoven himself it is found more moments like this. And in other composers there are a lot of moments like this and better.
@@kerencanelo8580 I would agree. It was a bit of hyperbole, but it’s a great passage that gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. Beethoven would have appreciated this performance of his favorite symphony (before he wrote his Fifth). Hats off to the French horn players using non-valve horns (Richard Strauss's father would have applauded for them, too). Bravo!
Hr with Manfred Honeck are superb! And Orozco-Estrada is clearly one of the top rank of conductors. One can tell by the response of the orchestra members.
This performance has left me speechless! Every movement and musical nuance was carefully planned and executed. The orchestra finds the soul of this piece and brings it to light. From start to finish it was a joy to watch this performance. Bravo tutti!
Beautiful performance! The orchestra and Orozco-Estrada were, as usual, at their best. Loved the use of the old instruments. Many thanks, and the best to all of you!

Whether it be sibelius or schubert, bruckner or beethoven, and mahler. I love this orchestra and conductor! I loved how they all moved in sync at the height of grief @ 25:25. Could never get into watching Karajan for that reason; everyone still and in perfect formation. Our musicians must emote!!!
@Katrina T. I find the swaying and wiggling about to be a silly affectation. "Our musicians must emote"? Absurd. They are there to play the piece accurately and beautifully, not jiggle about in their chairs like bored children in a church sermon. Highly distracting, frankly. This is the last I will watch this group. Definitely have had enough, as gorgeous as they sound. The wiggly-jiggly silliness is just too absurd for my tastes.
Andres brought up so many layers among the instruments that was not that obvious from other recordings. Indeed, Beethoven's complicated thoughts are more evident in this rendition. In a simple word, 'fire' is the essence of Beethoven's music. Andres took it to another level. Well done!!
@Alex Tejada I had been listening to Beethoven since I was 15. I have many CD collections of Beethoven 9 symphonies as an audiophile. This would tell you if I am that easily impressed by any music. If you don't understand, how can you make a cause and effect relationship? Please check your intention when you comment on Asian.
Only Beethoven could infuse so much sweetness and grandeur into a funeral march! Death becomes beautiful in the hands of the greatest voice in music, a perfect counterpoint to the living energy of the other three movements.
his facial expressions & body movements are so in step with what they have to do, great guidance - As he recovers composure during the much-needed break see the sweat running down his face 15:26 & thereafter 2 minutes
Before the start of the second movement, it looked like he went into deep meditation or prayer. This conductor feels the music in his entire body ! It’s wonderful to watch
Maravillosa sinfonía, maravillosa orquesta y maravilloso director
Is anyone wondering how the second movement is beautiful !!!!!!!!! Now i realize that Beethoven is the real transition from classical to romantic music .
That's because it's in C minor key and his works in this tonality have been said to be powerful and emotive, evoking dark and stormy sentiments. Also check his Piano Sonatas Nos. 5, 8 and 32, Symphony No. 5 or the Coriolan Overture.
It is wonderful to see individual orchestra members up very close, almost impossible in the auditorium. In some ways it is better than being in the audience. I would pay for a subscription to online concerts, even after the philharmonic reopens

@@katrinat.3032 That's an interesting point of view, thank you.
@ralfhudlet702 It makes me so happy when I find other people who delight in the same moments as I do! You might enjoy Celibidache's recording of the "pure euphoria" part. It's considerably slower, albeit all the more powerful in my opinion. It completely melts you. Here it is for reference: ruclips.net/video/WaEbCw6ucSU/видео.html (starts at 8:35)
@@paulstan3042 thanks for your respond and the link. i listened to it several times, but i still prefer this version.
Agreed, that fugue sounds like the world’s reckoning. Glorious yet stern or even forbidding
Absolutely perfect. Congratulations to the HR FRANKFURT sinfonie and Andrés Orozco-Estrada.
Wow. Just wow. This is perhaps the greatest rendition of one of the greatest pieces of music ever written. Thank you.
Tell us what you like about the piece. The world needs to be informed about your judgement.
@@leonardoiglesias2394 I don’t quite understand why someone would make that comment, but something tells me that any explanation would be lost on you.
Extraordinaria dirección de Andres Orozco, antioqueño. Proximamente director de la Sinfónica de Viena. Aplausos
Off the top of my head, I’d say the final couple minutes of Mahler’s Resurrection Symphony are the most exhilarating and emotionally intense moments of any music I’ve ever heard. 8th is great too.
@@JJJRRRJJJ Which eighth do you mean , Beethoven's or Mahler's???
>>>Joel Laykin , Hong Kong , China .
@@IPPF-oo6pe I meant Mahler’s 8th
My God. This orchestra managed to excel in this heroic. Congratulations to the musicians and the conductor.
This symphony is my favorite in all of music. I can relate it to a lot on a personal level. Great performance!
Great camera work. Puts you right in among the players and you realise how each individual is contributing to the overall superb performance.
Just when I think it can't get any better, there it is! wonderful performance.
This must be the best performance of the Eroica I've heard!
Wonderfully done. So cool to see natural horns as well. I've played this symphony, and I can tell you from the inside that it is nowhere near as easy as this band makes it seem!
It's the most superb version I ever heard. Perfect tempo, beautiful instrumentation, and fantastic counterpoints throughout each movement.
I know! This performance is awesome!! There is something about the energy and how ‘clean’ they play❤️
I heard nuances in this performance that I had never heard before, and I’ve been listening to this for almost 50 years, both live and on recordings. Stellar performance.
A poll of modern composers, conductors, and concert artists ranked the Eroica as the greatest of all symphonies ever written.
@@lilytoledog68 The greatest symphonic composer for sure. But Bach would have to be #1 overall.
Beethoven would have appreciated this performance of his favorite symphony (before he wrote his Fifth). Hats off to the French horn players using non-valve horns (Richard Strauss's father would have applauded for them, too). Bravo!
I once read that he made that claim after the 8th. Yes, love that darker sound of the natural horns and natural trumpets.
The maestro and his orchestra play Beethoven like no one else! They are the best... and I like Manfred Honeck
Bravo tutti!
you bet!
Beautiful performance! The orchestra and Orozco-Estrada were, as usual, at their best. Loved the use of the old instruments.
Many thanks, and the best to all of you!

When the pandemic is not over yet, this incredible performance brings consolation. The adagio is beyond perfection! HR FRANKFURT Sinfonie conducted by Orozco-Estrada is truly outstanding. Thank you, viel Danke. Muchas gracias!!
And when the pandemic is gone you are always welcome to see, hear and feel them yourself if it is in the "Alte Oper" the place where this one is recorded, or more casual open-air at the "Weseler Werft" veranstaltungen.meinestadt.de/frankfurt-am-main/location-detail/2032203
I once told my late mother (I POINTED TOWARD HEAVEN ) saying Beathoven is up there we are down here ! I regardless of how many years go by will always feel he was&is the greatest composer who ever walked the face of this earth ! How a man who happened to lose his hearing could ever write so many masterpieces of music l will never know ,! Did he get the works. From God?
Symphony No.3 The ‘Eroica’ is always a pleasure to listen to with the talented conductor and the wonderful orchestra. Each movement is a delight to listen to. Who could ask anything more than perfection!!!! .... Beethoven never lets us down he gives us such great music to enjoy 😊 in the future.
The greatest symphony ever composed, no doubt
I am very impressed by this conductor. I haven't experienced his work before. His choice of tempi and the way he respects the architecture of the symphony are superb.
Andrés Orozco Estrada "maravillosa interpretacion" Muchas gracias. ❤
The Finest Symphony Ever composed... Beethoven is the Greateat Composer overall, but Symphony #3 is his Greateat Achievement...
Do you know his ninth symphony ?
Superb performance. Great to hear a well disciplined German orchestra play with great precision without the usual schmaltz and sloppiness.
Simply brilliant. I love the way the dirigent applauds the orchestra.
I love that too! You can tell he loves his orchestra ❤️. He gives them all the credit. I just love the energy of this ensemble.
@@katrinat.3032 I am always waiting for new releases on RUclips from this amazing group of musicians and everything they do is masterfully executed regardless of the composer. Whether it be sibelius or schubert, bruckner or beethoven, and mahler. The videographer is among the best always pointing the camera at the right group of instruments following the peice to its conclusion.
The tempos are great, and I love how outrageously harsh the dissonances of the first movement sound in this performance.
Wonderful ...a beautiful orchestra and heavenly music
Bravo Maestro! I have listened to this many, many times. This was superb!!! Every note perfect!!!
wow großen Respekt! Diese traditionellen Blechblasinstrumente sind einfach phänomenal
Love the style of the applause, to all the individuals - well deserved! Bravo, I'm going to listen to this again & again. And dance to it.

I'm happy now - sunday morning - by this music.
I hope everyone overcme corona 19.
I return to this performance again and again! Simply amazing!
I love this orchestra and conductor! I loved how they all moved in sync at the height of grief @ 25:25. Could never get into watching Karajan for that reason; everyone still and in perfect formation. Our musicians must emote!!!
@Katrina T.
Well done!!
Listen to Pierre Monteux or Georg Solti.
Beethoven understood humanity and would bring all races together in his music rather than isolating once race against another.
yes
I love this. This is the heart and the head and you can see every musician loving this.
Yeee. Do you play any instruments?
we are all heroes.. inspiration from L von Beethoven
thank you hr SymphonyOrcestra
vielen Dank
Maestro Orozco-Estrada
vielen Dank
Only Beethoven could infuse so much sweetness and grandeur into a funeral march! Death becomes beautiful in the hands of the greatest voice in music, a perfect counterpoint to the living energy of the other three movements.
Agreed 👍
his facial expressions & body movements are so in step with what they have to do, great guidance - As he recovers composure during the much-needed break see the sweat running down his face 15:26 & thereafter 2 minutes
Before the start of the second movement, it looked like he went into deep meditation or prayer. This conductor feels the music in his entire body ! It’s wonderful to watch
Maravillosa sinfonía, maravillosa orquesta y maravilloso director
Altamente recomendable. There is a version with Spanish subtitles too
ruclips.net/video/UtA7m3viB70/видео.html
i mean to say....this must be the greatest masterpiece ever written......and ever will be written.....until the next grand extinction
Is anyone wondering how the second movement is beautiful !!!!!!!!! Now i realize that Beethoven is the real transition from classical to romantic music .
Infact this symphony is often described as the first romantic symphony.
I've always found interesting how he combines the tonal language of classicism with formal principles of romanticism.
@@hjo4104wonderfully put.
That's because it's in C minor key and his works in this tonality have been said to be powerful and emotive, evoking dark and stormy sentiments. Also check his Piano Sonatas Nos. 5, 8 and 32, Symphony No. 5 or the Coriolan Overture.
@@nachito2002x youre not answering the question
Thank you all of you. great play. Making my Sunday morning jubilant. Daegu, Korea.
Hi Korea!! From USA🙂
Best Eroica recording I have heard!! MAESTRO👏👏👏
It is wonderful to see individual orchestra members up very close, almost impossible in the auditorium. In some ways it is better than being in the audience. I would pay for a subscription to online concerts, even after the philharmonic reopens
To be up close to a performer is indeed a wonderful gift!
Also. If you want info of (the current i don't they keep records of pass musicians) if you look at their website you can find the orchestras current members name and biography
Merci!
