There are so many endings! When I saw this notif I knew it seemed familiar...My dad had me play this a long time ago. I made it to something called the confusion ending. It seems pretty easy to get to, and it shows you all the ways you could disobey the narrartor. I hope he gets to see The Stanley Parable Adventure Line!

The reason the creepy halls reminded you of “gmod” is because it is a copy of the original game(the one before the steam release) which was made in the source engine as a hl2 mod. Note: the 2013 steam release was also made in the source engine but not as a mod for hl2.
source always has some sort of creepy vibe, this applies to other source games as well. this remake is made in unity but they preserved the source feel of the original, they nailed it.
While not a horror game it does have an eeriness to it that kind of borders on existential dread. You get all this power in a world where nothing can deter you, the narrator tries to get you on the right track but it cannot stop you, and no matter what they do it’s all just a scripted event leading both Stanley and the Narrator alone in such a world.
imagine monika getting isekai'd into stanley parable. she'll do lots of squabbling with the narrator, with stanley roleplaying as super silent mc but with groovy moves. unreal.

The original game had you playing Minecraft before kicking you to the first level of portal after realizing how open-ended it is. And the weird dark hallways you fell into is the original Stanley Parable mod for Half-Life. You said it kind of looks like gmod, which uses the same game engine as half-life, portal, and every stanley parable version before ultra deluxe (which was made in unity)

I only heard of the stanley parable through a video about punishments games gives to players for hacking. And for the stanley parable the punishment is literally that you get put in a small interogation room and a narrator just lectures you lol. You cant restart the game to escape either which i find kinda funny
