Acrylic Painting Tutorial - Teal Ocean Waves

- Here's a brand new painting tutorial for a piece I made a long time ago. I’ve had a lot of requests for more “how to paint water” videos, and there were a lot of folks asking if I would be able to do a tutorial for this painting specifically. So here it is!
In this tutorial we use acrylic paint to create a close up image of two waves. We are focusing a little more on detail in this painting video than we normally do. This painting leans more toward intermediate level than towards beginner level. But I still think this is a great painting for beginners to try out, particularly if they are looking to get out of their comfort zone and push their skill!

I really love how you only use few colors. I learn a lot about mixing colors from you.

Could you please say this all acrylic colours name
I don't exactly remember but I think she used yellow, blue and white for this. A light and dark blue and a bright yellow.
To be specific, maybe cadmium yellow, ultramarine blue/ phtalo blue, light blue and titanium white. Hope that helps.

Emily, I just want to tell you thank you. I’m in my 50s now, but when I was younger I painted, drew and was very artistic. I even went to an art school. Going to try this on my next days off (I'm an essential worker + painting on my day off really helps me with stress) . I like the way you present this, make you understand the why's. When done I want to put it in my bathroom. Think its fitting!

I am overjoyed that I found your channel. I love your personality and video style! You focus mainly on the tutorial but still let who you are show through. I don't have to skip through 20 minutes of unrelated nonsense before we get down to business (I'm looking at you, internet recipes!). I did one of your sunset tutorials the other day and loved my resulting piece so much I hung it on my wall. I never display my art, it nearly always hides in the Shame Drawer.

I know right! The whole time I was like "this is not ideal I should have showered first" But some times you have creative energy and you just have to got for it! Regardless of how caked with dirt and sweat you are!

Was having a weekend painting and decided to give this a try. I'm a noob at painting and this was a good challenge. I struggled most with trying to get the right colors. But I had a fabulous time and appreciate your videos! They are so helpful.

Even I tried to make this painting I made the background beautiful and as same as you but when I tried the waves I almost ruined the painting.
