What Kendrick said about him not ever making people feel sorry for him about what he may have ever had going on...was quite telling and so honestly spoken from Kendrick in my opinion. ❤
Brian Glover what the actual hell?!?!!?
That comment made me uncomfortable - "he didn't want you to feel sorry for him". That's called toxic masculinity and that's why suicide rates amongst men is so high. Because god forbid a man show weakness. Not saying it is anyones fault externally but it's just sad he couldn't get the right help to overcome his illness. I understand he expressed it through his music. And we don't know the real cause of his death but when you are an addict you are not happy and you need to talk to people, you need to work through it - not mask your depression in company and with drugs. When you accidently overdose its because you were willing to risk your life anyway.
So sad. He was already a legend and he was on route to make another 30 record breaking albums or some shit. :(
@@concretethreads he meant verbally. Not through his actions or addictions.
Amity Jones somebody always gotta be extra in these comments 🤦🏽♂️ lol
yes, agreed
Dude was super underrated. I don't normally get effected by rapper's deaths, but this one sucked big time. RIP Mac Miller.
Same
@@DjR3aper honestly i never met the dude but I listened to him from the jump and he just felt like one of the homies.
Same here men, I still wishing this was just a nightmare, have no idea how hard this will be, i can't even understand why i feel that way
Same man! I still cant believe it! Hope he did the albums with post and ty! I don't want to sound selfish but the only music that could help me though this is macs
I've thought that very same thing for years now. :(
Pittsburgh is missing you big time, Mac. We had a memorial at Blue Slide Park in your name. Played your music. Shared some good memories. And your grandmother even spoke for the crowd. Kids like me grew up idolizing you. You made me so proud to live in Pittsburgh. Rest easy, Malcom. I know you're kicking incredibly dope shit up in heaven.
U know him n Big L r prolly having the most epic cypher in heaven right now
♥️
Jordan what a lovely tribute
This shit made me tear tf up I grew up in the burgh my whole life I'm 26 years old and know every damn song he ever made huge part of my life. Smh knew he would blow up the first time I heard him and fell in love with him and his music ever since .I literally can't get over his death shits so hard I keep wanting to do other shit but find myself up til 4am watching these vids and listening to all his music again . This ones gonna take some time.
🖤
Divine feminine and swimming are probably my most favorite albums by him, that jazz blues hip-hop sound. I don’t think anybody will ever be able to re-create and do it as well as him. My heart is still broken....
too me cool Awesome skills good album classic mam rlp Mac Miller dope
Listen to Faces and Best Day Ever
charles johnston listen to Larry lovestien got that jazz feels
He’s the best white artist to do that sound in my opinion
The new albums circles is my favorite

facts
Mac is the first death of an artist in my lifetime that I actually really felt deep down in my soul. I was a baby when pac and biggie died but I've been a fan of easy mac with the cheesy raps since K.I.D.S came out when I was a freshman in high school and it's been awesome seeing how he's progressed artistically. It's a shame we won't get to see him progress even further. Rest in peace Mac Miller.
@Humble Servant it's a really new feeling u know... I don't understand why, but ur right. 2wks now, but still really sad
This is what J Cole warned would happen if you keep medicating on the drugs
Me too
Agree, couldn't of said that better.
R.i.p to one of the best rappers/musician in my generation!
‘No matter where life takes me, you’ll find me with a smile’ ❤️

This comment made me sob. RIP, to a legend.
Persue to be happy dont be laughing like a child never thought life could be this sweet it got me chessin ti cheek to cheek yeah
Mac Miller's passing messed with my head more than I could have imagined. Its crazy how you can not know someone except through their art yet they are able to forge such a genuine bond with you. This video was great to watch, really appreciate the thoughtfulness involved.
I feel you
exactly how I feel.
Could not describe better
"He always had a smile on his face. No matter what he was going through, he never made u feel sorry for him. Mac always kept a smile on his face because he wanted u to smile too" ...
wow that hurts. RIP Mac , u were my first concert i ever went to. Thank u for the great memories.
Same ! First time I ever jumped in a mosh pit too lol. I got to smoke with a blunt with him !
“I’m the only suicidal mother fucker with a smile on”

Same here. Saw him in Philly while he was touring for Blue Slide Park. 8th grade. RIP Easy Mac with the Cheesy Raps 💔💔
'No matter where life takes me you find me with a smile' - Mac Miller / Best Day Ever
This energy for Mac must continue. RIP
The next wave of artists that he inspired are going to be insane. Doing it for him. 🙏
He was creating the next big thing in rap
It's just too bad that they didnt have this energy while he was alive tho
Adhley Severeyns this was going to be Mac’s year... he was doing BIG THINGS... big things!
I disagree. I think that this energy existed.
Bro if Macs hidden music gets released I am gonna be the happiest person on earth
Fr🔥
The channels Larry Fish & backupmusic have been putting some unreleased and little known mac tracks out recently. Also randommac.com has compiled everything mac's put out as well as others that you can shuffle thru
@@xivilai47 looks like randommac.com is missing the "I love life, thank you" mixtape he released for hitting 1M twitter subs.
Also the "On and On and Beyond" another great project from the early days. Another Night and Live Free as still a couple of my favorites.
Does anyone remember the first youphoria? I heard a teaser of the track but when the record came out it was completely different song
as a young white jewish die hard rap fan myself, I have to salute Peter Rosenberg for being the ONLY mainstream dude to put something together like this so far and probably the only one that will. Mac was your everyday kind of guy and I relate to him so much. There will never be another Mac miller or anything close to him again. Even though he was young when he passed he definitely accomplished his goal by being able to influence people with his music. RIP bro your name and music will live forever.
Jeremy Cohon Paul Rosenberg? Eminem’s manager?
Fuck fuck fuck man
The saddest part is i dont think mac ever knew how much he touched us all, nor how many ppl loved him as an artist and especially as a person
"He never made you feel sorry for him, he was strong about it - always kept a smile on his face because he wanted you to smile too"
I think Kendrick nailed it why some many people including myself loved Mac so much.
He was genuine and real, more importantly relatable. We grew up with him and saw him evolve over time.
People in the industry loved him, he was a friend to everyone.
Rest in peace legend, your passing hit me harder than anyone else
Really hope someone from his camp drops all his work he had in the cut...I’m sure there are so many pieces of music or even albums that would be so good for the fans to hear. I feel like that’s what he would want
Please someone. I know I'd want that
He just dropped a album last month and his family is wealthy It will probably take 1 or 2 years
Hope whoever has control over his unreleased music features all the artists that supported and loved him.
He has so much content online including studio streams that are hours of him playing music, but since he’s died there’s always comments like this because it’s the perfect post-death comment for likes... i bet you havnt even listened to all his released stuff.
Agreed. He said in an interview that he makes a song a day.
Dontforget, Mac and tyga had everyone wearing snapbacks again like the 90s
Mac is the reason I got my snap back collection . Everybody in the burgh wore them with pride cuz of him . I still do.
Who's tyga?
I started wearing the dad caps cause we the same size and I like the fit/look/feel
Str8 up .
Ty looks absolutely devastated. Goddamn.
Whats the song in the backround
bitch ty Fuck
Oh man Kendrick said some really nice things about Mac talking about all the good times in the studio all the jokes they shared man I love that and love that he cared for him as a friend and artist and at the end of the day is going to remember him for the smile and the energy he wanted to give to his peers he will be sorely missed
Everybody and they momma loved Mac Miller. Nothing but good energy and good music. RIP for real.
Mr.White i feel like everyone’s soul is hurting in the world rn
As I watch this, it becomes clear that Mac Miller was held in such high regard by his professional peers. To listen to each person recount their times(s) with Mac is the ultimate tribute. To be truly loved and respected by your peers shows Mac was the real deal. Makes his passing even more heartbreaking. Mac was a musical genius and gentle soul. May you find peace and comfort where you are...you won't be forgotten!! Rest well, Mac...
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Mac Miller album classic dope Awesome hip-hop real
straight up. someone needs to check on Craig Jenkins man. He is extremely hurt and trying to keep it together. you can see it the entire time..
You’re never missed until you’re gone 😞
Facts
What did J. Cole say?
They only miss you after you're gone,
so I've been told
Date a bitch long distance then
How can you be missed if you're still here tho?
@Brian Glover how you know?
Being his fan for 8 years now always frustrated me and upset me that no one gave him the love I always thought he deserved. Hearing people love his music now makes me feel so good just wish he heard it. And felt the love.
Timmy Swaim He had amazing artistry and was such a kind soul. His remembrance is all love.
I feel this. A lot of people slept on him.
Like all his songs make sense after his death. Idk. Just me
Idk maybe it’s because I’m from PA but I’ve always heard nothing but love for Mac miller since he came out
People did give him love. The thing is that now his death has elevated his fame, but that happens with all celebrities. Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse, and X are a few examples of that. It’s sad. Where I’m from he was always getting mad love, and he definitely deserved it. R.I.P Malcom❤️
Reminds me of when we lost Cobain. A beautiful, pure soul that seemed too sensitive for this world. Maybe too good for this world....these are the type of people who feel the pain of everyone and that pain is intolerable. 😭😭😭 RIP Mac Miller & know that your life mattered and changed us all for the better.
Yep this is how I feel every day ..... So much pain .....
I feel him. Suffering in silence, but smiling and making it seem good on the surface...dying alone inside.

I swear, I needed to watch this. I was having such a hard time coping and coming to terms with Mac’s death. Never did I ever think that I would be watching a tribute video of Mac Miller when he was only 26 years old. Watching this put me in a comfortable position that I haven’t been in for almost a week. Being able to revisit memories and hear the stories everyone had to share was really moving and brought a smile to my face. It amazes (but does not surprise) me that everyone that has spoken about Mac had nothing but great things to say about him. It makes me very proud to be his fan and very blessed that we all were able to have him in our lives. Thank you Complex and Peter for this video. R.I.P. to one of the best things to ever be apart of my life, Mac Miller ❤️
It's like losing a big brother it hurts so bad.. you put in words what I could not
Gibs Kimbler I know exactly what you mean. At first I was wondering why his death felt so personal, but then I realized it’s because I’ve been listening to his music since the beginning. He talked about some real shit, he was funny and down to earth, and throughout the years, we’ve all have been growing up along side of him. Instead of feeling like we lost our favorite celebrity, we feel like we lost a family member, because that’s how he treated everyone including his fans. We really lost a good one 💔
Joslyn Lea Theres a ton of haters sayin he was a junkie and couldnt rap. I wanna personally beat the shit out of all of them
Guerrilla Gaming there’s always someone who has to hate, no matter the situation
Rip to my idol. I miss u bro. Hope your at peace king. 🙏🕊
Marc Vinyls you're*
i bet he wasn't your idol before he passed away.
Why you hatin on homies post? idol or not, he’s just trying to pay his respects, admiration, and appreciation of the ICON that is Mac Miller and forever will be. Not gone or forgotten, your legacy and music rests in our hearts and for me, will always be heard! Glad I got a chance to really meet and speak with him, not just as a fan, but as a simple human at the same age who just made you really feel, HUMAN. No cap.
Mac Miller has always been one of my favorite new age artist. R.I.P.
I think the saddest part is there’s only 3 rappers that ever made it out of Pittsburgh. Was wiz, jimmy wapo and mac Miller, jimmy got gunned down in his own city, and mac was smart and got out of are city. But still didn’t make it, if wiz dies idk what I’ll do, these two deaths hurt me as a rap fan and a Pittsburgh anything fan, he wasn’t my idle, but he was form my city and that’s all that matters
*To Mac from all your day 1 fans:*
Thank you for some funny ass interviews & all the laughs.
Thank you for the beautiful & brutal honesty you put into all of your projects.
And most of all,
Thank you for all of the exceptional music you gave us & the effort that was so lovingly put into it.
You did a phenomenal job during the short time you were here on this Earth.
Now rest easy, young one.
We gonna gate keep Mac Miller fandom by when they discovered him? NAH SON. From ALL your fans, whether they were day ones or yesterday ass MFs, we love you. We will always love you. You will exist eternally through us. The Phoenix is still young. The years to come will mature the Phoenix into nothing short of a miracle on earth.

"no control, fuck you kendrick!" Mac was too funny
@@kirkhope0205 And now that hurts :((
Kendrick talking like he’s rapping. Classic
Mac was a 100% about the music. In the current rap scene, dudes like him are just not appreciated on a large scale until they're gone. Meanwhile, dudes that can't write a rap song for shit just get behind a good beat and make millions.
Fully appreciated this. Was hoping somebody within the industry would do something dedicated to him, showing respects. Rest easy Mac.
This fucking hurts. I know I am not the only one that feels like this but man, I feel like I lost a real fucking friend. 8 years of listening to his music on a pretty much daily basis. R.I.P. Mac.

Not a Mac Miller fan but this is the most I ever heard anyone speak of him. Sad. Give ppl their flowers when they're alive. RIP
I mean he was 26, I think that sentiment should be reserved for people like Stevie wonder, missy Elliot etc. The legends
CHRISTIAN. JUNIOR Mac Miller is a Legend in the hip-hop world because of his influence and impact. He was apart of the DIY movement, along with wiz khalifa ect.... He wasn't just a rapper either. He was a producer and played multiple instruments piano, guitar, and drums.
@@kelechic.jemelumba9981 so only legends should get love when they're alive? Just shut the fuck up please.
CHRISTIAN. JUNIOR funny that Missy Elliott gave Mac Miller a tribute... EXACTLY he was 26 and had the whole world magnetized to him! This was going to be Mac’s year... he evolved into a pure, beautiful musician. He was taking his music to the next LEVEL! This is tragic, but shows that Malcolm McCormick was beloved by his fans, and his influence was felt by the entire INDUSTRY!
You need to understand something. Obviously when someone passes , it’s normal that everyone comes out and speaks about them and their memories .. You don’t expect people to speak about other artist/celebs everyday while they are still alive
Post Malone said he and Mac planned on doing an album together. It's a shame we'll never get to hear it. Luckily, Mac literally lived in the studio and probably has thousands upon thousands of minutes of unreleased music. Maybe Posty and some of Mac's buddies could team up and use some of his unreleased content to make a brand new album
Jordan Mac said in a breakfast club interview that he had 500 unreleased songs and he said he wasn't kidding. I don't think he had 500 complete songs but I think it's safe to assume he has many verses recorded hopefully some good people will have the rights to it. That way the fans can get some of that music.
That would be amazing

Did not shed a tear about Mac Miller but was gutted about his death. This Open Late w/Pete Rosenberg got me shedding tears. R.I.P Mac, you will be missed.
The music I heard from K.I.D.S to Divine Feminine. Haven't listened to the whole of Swimming yet but will do it would be too hard to listen at the moment. Was a big fan from the moment I heard Nikes On My Feet & Wear My Hat and whenever wanted to be cheered up I would listen to those songs. Damn all good artists/people go too soon...

@EmmaHogger Trust me, I almost switched off myself. But when you are reminded of what beautiful spirit he was it is a blessing.
Extremely tastefully done. Props to all involved Mac would've been proud.
Damn honestly, props to lil Xan for paying homage to Mac and speaking on how much of an influence Mac was to him. That’s 💯 haven’t been a fan of lil Xan but have a diff outlook on him after seeing this.
I don’t normally get emotional about celebrity deaths but when he died I stayed home from work for two days. His music saved my life. It reminded me better days were always coming. Losing him felt like I lost someone I knewz

Faces will forever be one of my favorite projects of all time, it made me feel like he was going through the same things I was going through as a kid in high school even though our day to day lives we’re so different. His music always gave me hope and made me feel like amazing no matter what I was going through or how I was feeling and for that I will forever be grateful. I’m so sad that he will never get to realize his full potential as an artist or as a human being in general, but at the same time I’m happy because even though he was nowhere near his full potential he was able to achieve so much at such a young age and touch the lives of so many people worldwide on so many different levels. I love and miss him so much.

If anybody wants to listen to Mac Miller's best project go and check out his mixtape called "Faces." That is truly his masterpiece and some big record label should rerelease that joint so that the masses could enjoy one of the best Hip Hop albums I've heard in the last ten years. STRAIGHT UP!!!!!!!!
Honestly Mac may always go under appreciated as an mcee if that doesnt ever got a proper widespread release.

Mac Miller was such a huge part of my high school experience. I started high school in 2011, KIDS was fresh and Best Day Ever had just come out. From Faces, to Macadelic, to I love life thank you, to blue slide park and watching movies with the sound off I listened to Mac's music so much. I have vivid memories of listening to Macadelic everday after school while I waited at the train station for my bus to go home. I tried to dress like Mac, if he wore it I wore it or tried to find it. I watched every episode of Mac Miller and The Most Dope Family. And as his music evolved so did my love of his music as he continued to make amazing project after amazing project. His death has really affected me like no other artist. RIP Mac.
This shit doesn't even feel real, it's so hard to get this around my head. Rest in power King mac 💔💔

great episode R.I.P. Mac I been bumping swimming all day, and I feel shitty because I had stopped listening to him like I used to and this music and his growth was incredible he had a lot left in him to share on this earth, he will be missed
I stopped listening outside of college. I'm 25
I lived life with him it felt like and I just got done binging swimming and I almost felt guilty for missing it when it dropped. It feels like a personal loss now
@@trisket53 I feel u on that
Its not your fault we all got different tastes even Mac miller said his new shit a lot different then his old shit and it will never be the same But you can still support him if you listened to his old shit and been to his shows its still make you a fan
I can relate a bit. I still listened to swimming when it came out but not the same way i kept his other stuff on repeat 24/7. I also never listened to The Devine Feminine and I kinda feel guilty about it, heard a few songs but never really sat down and played it. He was a man of many talents and he’s going to be deeply missed.
Chance Jolivette I always tried to give his music attention. I talked about his music when K.I.D.S came out but when he dropped WMWTSO I really got into him. I loved Faces and I was super excited for him to drop GO:OD AM. I always thought Mac was a good artist and that’s why I tried to give his music a chance even when he was growing.
This got me choking back tears multiple times. Seeing his friends and peoples lives he touched especially. We knew he was a good dude, but god damn he was really one of the best. One of the realist and most talented to ever walk this earth. It was tough seeing Rosenthal start crying at the end. My deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all of you fans out there. I am looking forward to the music that is yet to be released, including ty dolla & macs recent project. I really hope his secret catalog of albums eventually gets released.
When I heard the news, it was such a surprise in my eyes. He just released “Swimming” and I was quick to vibe with it. I’ve been listening to Mac for years, after his death, I’ve had the “Blue Slide Park” album on repeat because it’s such a throwback and has many beautiful songs on it. Easy Mac will be missed and his passing is truly truly tragic. On his upcoming tour he was scheduled to come to Minnesota where I live, was so excited for the thought that I could finally see him live for the first time, wish I could have met and just have a conversation with him, pick his brain. “It’s hard to dream when you’re deep inside one” -RIP Mr. McCormick

Kendrick’s voice towards the end of his segment. You could hear the pain and sadness in his voice man. Him and Max really were homies... Rest In Paradise Malcom
Honestly Mac Miller’s self care come out when I was going through a really toxic relationship and it really help me get through it I’m sad I’ll never truly thank the man for his work Rest In Peace.
There's still a whole in my heart still listening to him everyday...
Rest easy Mac Wop, let's all continue to keep his family and friends in prayer. I can't imagine how much they must be going thru. 🙏🏽
I'm not one to get googaly eyed over artists but I felt Macs music like I feel the other greats in any type of music. That's rare add to that I met him in HS at a show and dude was cool down to earth gave me 2min when he didn't need too
Faces! Dont forget faces.
Everyone always skips Faces. It'll always be the hidden gem of his music

I gotta be honest man, I personally am 19 years old so I didnt really experience 2pacs death back then, same with biggies and some other oldschool artists... But Mac Millers death was one of the first deaths that kinda hit close to the heart.. I mean literally a day before he passed I talked with some dude from the world of warcraft community about him and we went through some of his songs and then a couple of hours I read that he died.. I kinda grew up with Mac Miller, I think I heard his first songs 6 years ago.. I'm not tryna act like I miss him or something like that because I didn't know him. But it's sad to see someone like him die so soon.. I would have loved to see him having a happy life and I really do hope he knew that he was loved by many

@@JohnnyDunn exactly, I'm the same age as mac. He was really the voice of my generation at the time. Young and carefree music man.

Mac Miller- musical genius
Rest in peace Mac. I remember the first time I found your music on youtube and downloading all your mixtapes off datpiff. Your music guided me through my adolescence. When my friends and I look back on our highschool years we remember you. Me and two of my best friends bonded over blasting youforia in his car. I never thought I could be so hurt from someone I'd never met pass but you truely inspired me. Thank you for everything you did for us and thank you for helping me through some tough times.
Rest easy xx
