Mac is great. I mean it's been almost 7 years since he exploded on the scene and he's still musically relevant. That's an achievement on its own. And not only that, he's really proven to himself and to everybody that he's much more than just the "party rapper" guy that we all thought he was when he first came out. He's a deep dude

I've been with mac since the beginning. It's amazing to see his journey and all its encompassed. He has so many pieces of work representing human nature: happiness, humor, sadness, vice, rebirth, and love. He's way too slept on and is such a talented artist. Respect

mac is much deeper than people expect looking at him from the outside. Really miss this guy and he is a good rep of his generation. He did a lot of drugs and stuff, but he was pure and authentic and himself, and evolving as a human and artisticaly. Gonna miss his free spirit, and try to be a free spirit myself going foward.

It never even crossed my mind that mac would ever od probably due to my own ignorance but after watching all these interviews it’s clear he was always troubled he was just always able to keep a smile. At the end of his life it was the most unexpected time for him to have overdosed because he put on the facade that he was totally sober and was able to fool the public but his music speaks volumes and being an addict isn’t as simple as doing it for years and putting it down without a long long struggle

Faces was a tight album. I can honestly say I enjoyed all of his albums and I love that they're all different. Someday I think it would be cool for him to try some of that olschool shit again. Mac is much more clear in this interview compared to the HOT 97 a year before, just showed how quickly he came out of that dark shitty phase and bounced back harder than anyone could imagine. I wish he lived a longer life but oh my god I would do anything for another project crafted and put together by him in full. We are all greedy :(
