Mac did a 1 week recording session in Hawaii at a studio where I worked at. He was the only artist ever that would seek out every studio staff person and thanked everyone for staying late and made sure to shake everyone's hand. Mac had one request that no one be drunk or high on anything for the session including the staff, coffee and cigarettes only. He stuck to it and was sober for the whole session.
Drug addiction is such a horrible thing. It truly destroys the lives of not only the addict, but the family too. RIP Mac Miller. May your family have peace.
its our politicans, theres not enough done in addiction prevention. make drugs legal, save to use and sell them under strikt rules instead of giving the blackmarket a chance to poison our people. works for alcohol, why not for other drugs? when drinking to much no one even cares... when smoking a spliff you are a criminal. we need to help people with addictions, not put them behind bars.
Drug addiction is bad but clearly the war on drugs is causing deaths like this. I think opiates are fucking horrible but if you legalized the shit and made it cheap....fentanyl wouldn't be a problem.

Ill never forget the day i learned about you Mac. It was sophomore year of high school and I was in my Avid class. We had a student teacher there for a few weeks as a shadow to learn how to be a teacher, she was in college at the time. Black and yellow was released by Wiz and it was the next big thing, we would all sing it and have a good time. Something got brought up one day about the song and Wiz being from Pittsburgh. Ms. Johnson was her name, had mentioned she had a cousin who lived there and he also made music. We couldn't ask who it was fast enough, it turned out to be Mac Miller. He was up and coming and still finishing high school his dam self. I dont think many people at the time listened to his early song because no one knew who i was talking about and was singing the songs by myself. I've pretty much listened to Mac every day since then, before people even know his name or who he was. It been a honor to by about to listen and vibe to Mac Miller all these year. RIP EASY MAC gone but not forgotten.

I work in law enforcement. I'm happy to see that these guys were charged for this. That being said, a lot of people are dying from fentanyl overdoses, but these deaths aren't being investigated. If Miller wasn't a celebrity, those guys would still be pushing that garbage on the street. Before anyone says it's up to the police to investigate these overdoses, you're incorrect. As LE do you feel like drugs should be legalized? And, the US allows these drugs onto the streets, and allows the importation of them. Instead of putting our tax dollars to much better use, like many better things, the country just sends billions of dollars over seas, to help others, when there is so much that needs to be done right here, like stop the trafficking of deadly illegal drugs, for example.
There’s something so low down & dirty about selling counterfeit drugs. The customer consented to A, not B & C. Regardless of what anyone thinks about dealing or drug use, there’s still a code to live by & you don’t sell people fake shit. They knew what they were doing & didn’t care.
It’s all about the profit to the creators of these drugs unfortunately. Once the majority don’t face problems it’s good to go with the cheapest shit possible , they don’t care about the unfortunate people that do die
Its illegal drug use. Its completely unregulated and youre dealing with people who do illegal things for a living. There is no code. The user is more responsible IMO, and I cringed when his dad gave his statement. Your son was a drug addict, he would in most instances go to any length to get drugs, the people youre upset with were just doing what he asked and paid them to do.
This is why drugs should be decriminalised. So that people can test the shit they are taking without fear of prison time. Informed adults should be allowed to put whatever they want into their bodies. But for that to happen there needs to be transparency about what they have.

Max Miller's first mixtapes came out when I was in high school. I listened to his albums over and over and over again and they meant so much to my life at that time. When he died it was the first time I have legitimately cried over a celebrity death. RIP Mac Miller
Same like it seems ridiculous to cry over someone you've never even met, but at the same time they've become a part of who you are. When Mac died, it just made me realize how time has gone by. I can't believe how many text conversations I've had with people almost just like those, minus the girl. It's so weird; drug dealers seem to operate 24 hours a day. If you do a lot. Again, the biggest factor is dosage. the issue is lack of help for people with mental health, lack of understanding, immense pressure, harsh conditions, and a shitty world. For people that feel the energy around them it's hell because you feel everything. People put on a smile and social media makes the world seem like a utopia but that's definitely not true for a lot of people. Not trying to say that everything is bad, there's definitely a bright side to this world, but there's a darkside too, and it's important to be aware of both. Telling people who need help to just be happy, worry less, or don't think as much seems like sound advice, and it is true, but a better approach is to listen to that person so they don't feel alone, offer them advice if you have it, and support them. A lot of people on the road to suicide or an early death just feel alone, even if they have lots of people in their circle. It's impossible to know what a person really feels on the inside. We can read their eyes, we can feel their energy, we can discern from their tone of voice, the way they say things, their actions, but these are just interpretations, and not everyone is adept at reading nuances and energy. It's a complex cluster, but anyone that says that survival is easy is lying to you. We have it easy compared undomesticated animals, if they're weak they die. Grew up with his music and listened to him during every major event of my life, my wife even walked down the aisle to “Hand Me Downs.” I understand drugs are bad, and it’s the risk you take buying prescription pills, but Fentanyl is something no one ever orders or even realizes the danger of. He was a monumental figure in independent music, and only was just starting to his artistic prime right before his passing.
I’ll listen to his music forever. Until I die. He was my favorite artist and just seemed like a genuinely nice person. When I heard about his death I was shocked. And I know a wave of sadness went across the world from the moment we all found out. It’s so sad and crazy.
2022 and still think about mac. So awful. I’ve been addicted to this fent bs for over 12 years . It such a horrible drug, all my friends are gone. Giving someone something they didn’t want. Breaks my heart. Rest In Peace. Another light snuffed out because of someone else’s greed. And a damn talented one too. ❤️
Addicts don’t have a choice to just stop when they get a wakeup call. If they did there wouldn’t be any addicts or overdoses. Thats why its called Addiction. Its a disease, all We can do is pray & support those still suffering. Yes all the deaths, can help motivate Her to get clean but ultimately its Her decision to get the help she needs or the disease will destroy more than it has already. Addiction only ends in death, institutions or in Prison. Im 3yrs clean today. ❤️
@Rachelle Smith, I know what ur going through, even when Its killing our Friends we continue bc Were suffering so badly. Ur not alone. As an Addict at 3yrs clean, I had to find the strength & selflove to want Sobriety & get the help I needed. I believe in U & know when ur ready u will too! Today I’m Living not just surviving. Im Happy for the 1st time in Life, I was able to mend the relationship with my Family & get them back. I have real friends that don’t just use me for drugs. Im praying for u to find the strength to Succeed. I believe in u! U matter & deserve everything including a Long Happy Life. Theres nothing wrong with u, sometimes We need to ask 4 help when we cant help ourselves. Withdrawals stopped me from getting clean for so long until I realized theres ways to get clean without sicknes. I promise a free Rehab or Suboxone/Methadone Clinic can help u get off Fent without the terrible sickness like it helped Me. Theres always a way, u just have to want it bad enough. I did it & u can too. U have so much Worth! If u need a friend, Im here 4 u ❤️
You have survived this long, God has kept you alive this long, because you have a greater purpose than just continuing to suffer. But you have to choose yourself, no one else can do it for you-but you can do it! Anything is possible, miracles happen every day, and every storm passes-if you let it. The easy thing would be to continue letting this addiction control your life and possibly dying a premature death, or you could do the hard thing and fight for your life. We’ve only got one life, tomorrow isn’t guaranteed, and we can change at any time. Honestly, just discontinuing going in the wrong direction is progress. You can do this!

Damn, i wasn't expecting this one but thanks so much Sunny. Mac was one of my favorite artist from 2012 until his passing and it was such a joy to see his spiritual evolution. Being born in the same year it felt like watching a friend grow alongside you. It hurts sometimes to imagine what he would have created with more time. RIP Mac, never forgotten.
As a recovering heroin addict & a huge fan of Mac, my heart just breaks knowing what Mac miller was going through
Hope you're doing well
And, the US allows these drugs onto the streets, and allows the importation of them.
Ain’t no code it’s more common than u think
It’s all about the profit to the creators of these drugs unfortunately. Once the majority don’t face problems it’s good to go with the cheapest shit possible , they don’t care about the unfortunate people that do die
Its illegal drug use. Its completely unregulated and youre dealing with people who do illegal things for a living. There is no code.
The user is more responsible IMO, and I cringed when his dad gave his statement. Your son was a drug addict, he would in most instances go to any length to get drugs, the people youre upset with were just doing what he asked and paid them to do.
Allot of local dealers would be very honest about what was in the dope i would buy
This is why drugs should be decriminalised. So that people can test the shit they are taking without fear of prison time.
Informed adults should be allowed to put whatever they want into their bodies.
But for that to happen there needs to be transparency about what they have.
I just want to say thank you for making this video. It was such an eye opening experience to learn how tragic his final hours where and that this is a learning experience for all.

I may not have known him personally. But his music made me feel like I did. It still feels so numb to know simply put, he is not on this earth. No music, no laughter, no sadness, no love, no anger, just nothing. The curious feeling to wonder what an open conversation would have been like with his mind.
honestly same. Mac once said "if you wanna know me, listen to my songs" so maybe listening and analyzing his songs, paying attention to his lyrics, is the best way you could know him.
i feel the same way. the world has felt a little emptier without him, without knowing his energy is being put out there. i know that his energy has probably come back around, but damn man. nothing is the same.
Feels like missing a limb. I struggle to listen to him anymore
This breaks me. Mac was my childhood transition into adulthood. He always felt like he was a friend more than an artist I’ve never even met. God rest his soul. He was truly one in a million.
he was a TERRIBLE person. he legit drove drunk endangering innocent lives.
I looked over all the documents and stuff before your video and I didn’t have the heart to watch your video until tonight. Thanks for putting this together for everyone of us
That fentanyl is wicked deadly stuff! People drop like flies in every city, state & country, daily! Mac didn't want to die that day but he did die pain free. I do know ( from word on the streets) that Mac & Arianna loved each other deeply & she was trying her best to help him stop Opioids & downers (xanax, valium, benzos) but his depression & anxiety were real bad. I wish the Mac Miller's out there strength, peace & Love. I wish I had known you Mr Miller & I'm sorry your life was cut so short!
What happened to listening to ur prents or educate urself and being safe
There is video's of cops on youtube dying or going unconscious from just touching the stuff, even with rubber gloves on.
Don’t help that judges like our new Supreme Court are giving heroin and fentanyl kingpins slap on the wrist.
Yess & im the same sadly & know exactly how he felt/what he went through. This world is a very sad, lonely, depressing place & nobody cares for u as u see from this. Thanks for the encouraging message tho! 🙏
My friend just OD'd off a fake Percocet a couple weeks ago, 20 days after his 18th birthday. His mom found him lifeless in his car in the morning, turns out it was fentanyl, I wish I introduced him to kratom to replace his opiate habit with a safer alternative as I knew he wasn't going to stop, buying drugs off the street is exceptionally dangerous and fentanyl is becoming exceptionally common, it's what dropped my dad (luckily he was resuscitated but it destroyed my family) and just took one of my friends, it's the deadliest drug there is. Please be careful everyone.
Max Miller's first mixtapes came out when I was in high school. I listened to his albums over and over and over again and they meant so much to my life at that time. When he died it was the first time I have legitimately cried over a celebrity death. RIP Mac Miller
Same. His first mixtapes were what inspired me to start making music & helped get me to where I am today. Long Live the Legend
Same like it seems ridiculous to cry over someone you've never even met, but at the same time they've become a part of who you are. When Mac died, it just made me realize how time has gone by. I'm no longer in high school or even college, but a flood of memories and nostalgia comes back when I listen to his older songs.
I was really digging the artist he was becoming and was really looking forward to the future of his music and progression as a creator. So sad that his timeline ended abruptly, and it makes you realize how fragile life can be. Sad regardless of whether it is a celebrity or close friends/family.
Same I loved his music so much. Kills me seeing how this all went down. Makes me sick.
I can't believe how many text conversations I've had with people almost just like those, minus the girl. It's so weird; drug dealers seem to operate 24 hours a day. @@StuffedBearSus he bought drugs that were laced with fentanyl, that is what killed him. Watch the video, he literally would have not overdosed and died if it wasn’t for the fentanyl in the pills. It’s not music that kills them it is poor choices. No matter how good of a dude he was or how much you or I liked him the bottom line is his choice of lifestyle is what cost him his life. Not music. There are plenty of good musicians that don’t do this kind of thing and they are still around.

@@heftymagic4814 shrooms won't kill you like pills will, but yeah abstinence is best if you can do it.
shrooms can definitely be abused, but they won't physically kill you, just mentally, temporarily.....
Not saying that should happen, but it's a reality check that life is hard. We have layers that abstract us from that feeling of raw survival, layers that protect us and give us quality of life, but it's still not easy.

Hmm maybe this is a wakeup call to stop doing a drug that you know kills...
