Then one of his Custodes talked him into surrendering all this new power and to fight as a man instead of a newly made god prophesied as the "Dark King" Knowing he was likely doomed to be stuck on the Golden throne as a result, he gave up nearly all of his positive emotions also. Because emotions like compassion, love and happiness would be destroyed by 10,000 years of torture living stuck on the Throne. So he metaphorically cut out that part of himself and ejected it into the warp, where it's become akin to a new being but also simultaneously also the loving other half of the Emperor's soul. It was described as feeling like a child star. It seems the Emperor's hope was to reunited with this half one day. This being was also prophesied qnd is known as "The Star Child" . And yes, the Star Child is super heretical to the Inquisition. They don't know the Emperor shed his positive emotions into a new being, hoping to reunite with it after getting off the Throne one day. So to them, the Star Child is pure herecy.
He even let in a bunch of Orks to his palace grounds because he's very pleased with the destruction they wrought in his realm. It's practically Valhalla to said Orks.
Tbf, Nurgle and Tzeech also seemed to grow in power along him during the War in Heaven, so it doesn't seem that the current situation will necessarily push him to the top.
But they all also have a favorite legion, I see a lot of White Scars and Salamanders. On the Chaos side, I see a lot of Emperor's Children and Thousand Sons. All of them also like the Necron XD

Arguably different Khorne warrior just wants to kill stuff. The strongest warrior is the one who kills the most or the strongest things Slaanesh is more about 'aspire to become strong' and actively taking steps and training to become that. It's fighting for a purpose not for the sake of fighting

Biboo was honestly like me after i too watched like 4-5 videos which explained the entire Warhammer & Space Marines lore in a sweet nutshell, in that the Human Empire *are CRAZY.* Its like Super Earth in Helldivers 2 but on a different, more religiously passionate kinda pathway of devotion to killing anything they deem needs to be killed no matter what.

@@thuranz2773 If the Interex didn't survive Horus and Lorgar, mere 2 legions of the Imperium, then they would have been destroyed by any other of the other major factions that they encountered. That is the reality of it. The Imperium is the only hope for humanity because everyone else was simply too weak. Any large Ork waagh or the Drukhari that bumped into the Interex would have obliterated them. As nice and fantastical as the Interex was, they were not capable enough to be the future of humanity. In the universe of Warhammer, it is not enough to be tolerant and reasonable if you don't have the power to back that up. Also, it is worthy to say that the xenos species that were part of the Interex, the Kinebrach warred with the humans and lost when the two races first encountered each other. The humans decided not to exterminate and just vassalized the kinebrach making the Interex empire, but it shows that even the 'tolerant and reasonable' humans still ended up being forced to fight and subdue an alien species, and it is unknown if their fledgeling empire would have survived even if they never met the Imperium or other factions, or if they would fracture once xenos and human tensions escalated again.

One thing that sadly Bricky does not explain, and he should have and I have yelled at him for this on twitter, is that the Mechanicus DOES worship the Emperor.
The religion of the Mechanicus believes in a god that is formed by three parts:

- The Omnissiah, the physical aspect
- The Motive Force, the spiritual and metaphysical aspect
They believe the Emperor is the Omnissiah, and thus, they worship as one of the three aspects of their god.

Long story short, at the end of the Horus Herecy in 30k. Chaos nearly tricked the Emperor into becoming the 5th Chaos god and he was on the verge of doung so. Then one of his Custodes talked him into surrendering all this new power and to fight as a man instead of a newly made god prophesied as the "Dark King"
Knowing he was likely doomed to be stuck on the Golden throne as a result, he gave up nearly all of his positive emotions also. Because emotions like compassion, love and happiness would be destroyed by 10,000 years of torture living stuck on the Throne. So he metaphorically cut out that part of himself and ejected it into the warp, where it's become akin to a new being but also simultaneously also the loving other half of the Emperor's soul. It was described as feeling like a child star.
It seems the Emperor's hope was to reunited with this half one day. This being was also prophesied qnd is known as "The Star Child" .
And yes, the Star Child is super heretical to the Inquisition. They don't know the Emperor shed his positive emotions into a new being, hoping to reunite with it after getting off the Throne one day. So to them, the Star Child is pure herecy.

Well, the way Admech works is that they view the Emperor as the physical manifestation of the Omnissiah, it's kind of like Catholicism's view on god as 3 parts, the father, son and holy spirit, the Admech see the Omnissiah as a conjunction of the Emperor (son), the Motive Force (electricity aka holy spirit), and the Omnissiah (father)

One of the things I love about 40k is that no matter which faction is your favorite, everybody likes Orks.
She's not wrong though. The Imperium, much like the Emperor, is a rotting corpse being kept on life support out of convenience.
The problem is that every other faction is worse. Chaos is literally the Imperium but insane, Eldar are too arrogant to adapt or acknowledge your sentience, Orks will just kill you, Tyranids will kill and eat you, Necrons will ultra-kill you, Tau will kill you for the Greater Good, and... we don't mention the Dark Eldar. Yeah, I've been familiar with 40k since the 80's, since they "borrowed" a lot from other franchises like Battletech, since they had things as silly as Rogue Trader and Space Marines were basically just re-skinned barbarians. For all the expanded lore in each edition and all the novels that came out since its inception, it's always been just a little bit silly and you shouldn't take it so seriously. It's adorably over-the-top.

@@thuranz2773 If the Interex didn't survive Horus and Lorgar, mere 2 legions of the Imperium, then they would have been destroyed by any other of the other major factions that they encountered. That is the reality of it. The Imperium is the only hope for humanity because everyone else was simply too weak.
Any large Ork waagh or the Drukhari that bumped into the Interex would have obliterated them.
As nice and fantastical as the Interex was, they were not capable enough to be the future of humanity. In the universe of Warhammer, it is not enough to be tolerant and reasonable if you don't have the power to back that up.
Also, it is worthy to say that the xenos species that were part of the Interex, the Kinebrach warred with the humans and lost when the two races first encountered each other. The humans decided not to exterminate and just vassalized the kinebrach making the Interex empire, but it shows that even the 'tolerant and reasonable' humans still ended up being forced to fight and subdue an alien species, and it is unknown if their fledgeling empire would have survived even if they never met the Imperium or other factions, or if they would fracture once xenos and human tensions escalated again.
